My son & daughter are in the sea cadets and this was one of the songs used in a national drill competition in which they came 3rd against other units while representing Scotland in a national championship, so proud of them.
This song is played in the 8th inning of every Red Sox game. Every time I hear it played it reminds me of those carefree summer nights at Fenway Park. I’m in the service stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. But, my beloved hometown of Boston will ALWAYS be home.
