I'm happy it's working for you. With the implants, it makes sense for you. The impression putty molder around your post so it won't slide around for you.
Thanks for making this video. When I had my upper teeth extracted, my dentist gave me one of those mouth guards that you boil and bite. I use it on my lower jaw to keep from biting my -upper gums.=So far, so good.🙂😇👣
I went to Walgreens and in the toothbrush section they sell clear mouth guards you put in boiled water and you can mold it to your gums and easily trim. Upper is half moon. They aren’t meant to stay in, but when my jaw hurts or I just wear my lower partial and I grind a sore spot on my upper gums they work just fine and are only 14 dollars or so. I hate goop in my mouth.
I wanted to like them so bad that I bought almost every style, not to mention the amount of putty I purchased. I used them or tried using them. With them not being able to stay in my mouth while sleeping, I gave up. I'm a grinder in my sleep. I even tried using adhesive all to no avail. They would come out during my sleep. So yea, all that money wasted, but I tried.
Thank you for sharing your experience with these! I will soon be getting my top teeth extracted & I'm considering trying this. My plan is to use Easy Denture but thought Gum Guard may help until my gums heal a bit. I'm not sure now! 😩
I went to see my sister’s dentist who is an implant & denture specialist so I took my set of gum guards to see what he thought about them cuz they wouldn’t stay in no matter what I did!! This specialist had never heard of these Gum Guards and he told me to ABSOLUTELY NOT WEAR THEM!! He said there’s a reason that they recommend to remove your dentures at night so your gums can breath etc. He said you don’t need to wear gum guards when not wearing your dentures. I think he thought I was a little overboard since my immediate dentures were to big!
It's supposed to help with sore jaw muscles and help your face not look sunk in. It's confusing because it doesn't really help with that. It slides around and doesn't stay in place. It also isn't firm enough to hold It's shape.
It was an expensive mistake. Did absolutely nothing for me. I was early in my denture experience and was trying everything to find a normalcy. I wanted some support when my dentures were out and it did nothing. I suppose it would help a little if you had a partial and some real teeth poking your gums....all in all money thrown in the trash

My denture journey from day 1
I love the bottom one! I have snap-ins on the bottom and the putty molded around my implants so it sticks in really well!

That a much better value!

Oh try the Walgreens ones. I can wear mine to sleep in because there is a tab so you won’t swallow them.
You had to have spent hundreds of dollars on these then. Wow!
@Ca2rie59 thank you!
