I'm think that mushroom gravy make these wantan mee special.. remember back my hometown mushroom chicken feet gravy the most special taste of wantan mee.. no 1 ever can make it...
Char Sio Ingredient.. Kena marinate lebih 8 jam.. Honey, 5 Spicy poder, Orental BBQ Paste, Black pepper, ,Juice Halia 2 spoon, Chicken Stock ,Maltose, Gula putih Sedikit! ( Ini lah Home Char Sio.. Colour merah, Gula, Garam sedikit, Daging Babi rebus 30 minutes,,Baru goreng atau masuk ke Oven.. Harga Modal rendah, tak tinggi, Boleh untung banyaklagu banyak. Ok.

There's nothing like watching a trader enjoying his set up of the stall, arranging the table and chairs. I like those classic steel legged tables with aluminum top they are getting rare. In place of steel chairs I notice plastic stools have replaced them. He truly enjoys his work cut out for him and more earnings to be made. Good luck to him.
His food is very popular. I think he devided noodles unevenly because he divided it casually and quickly.
One of my favourite places in Penang. I can hardly wait to go back for this!

Bukan Chao Xio Yang Original.. Chao Xio yang Bubuh Colouring terlalu Banyak, Cahar Xio, yang tidak puyai, Honey, 5 Spcy Power, Orental BBQ Paste.. Lihat nya Colour yang tebal, daging Isi yang colour Putih. ! Ok.

Eaten there and the taste is just ordinary, nothing to appreciate. I think this is marketing advertisement again that many dumbers dont realize.The price is too high and the amount is too little as compared to many better taste stalls of this same food. For tourist, its advisable not to eat this dish here because other states are far more better taste than here. There are too many greater food variety to try in Penang.

For me I like the roast pork like the softer "sui ching type".. I notice at northern side "char siu" is like reddish in color n abit tough in texture.. 😅
Agree with u. At times, the red colouring runs onto the noodles. Other stalls DO HAVE the succulent real char siew 👍

Most of the street food lack hygiene. Used hands to carrystools n others n than use hand to hold uncook food. Maybe because of the greatfire and hot boiling soup it

Walk around Georgetown, plenty of yummy hawkerfare. Macalister, Carnarvon, Penang, Kimberley, Campbell, Chulia etc. Hop onto the Free bus CAT (Central Area Transit)
Cheapest (Value-for-money) buffet in town : Chao Hotpot 171, Burma Rd. 12 noon till 11 pm. Sparkling clean, aircond, wide variety of food, fresh veg, beef, pork, prawns, patin, seafood, dimsum famous siew loong pau, Taiwanese noodles & dessert, I/cream, pudding, cakes, moochi, popcorn etc etc.

Just a roadside stall but more expensive than those inside coffee shops. Not tasty too. Overrated. Common complaint : Thirsty after eating. Try once, u'll know.

This kind of wanton noodles also can be eaten! Don’t know what is the customer's brain filled with. From day one the stall was passed to the son from their parent, and the noodles were totally out.
Title makes us cringe. Irresponsible headline. Overrated, so tourists r strongly misled. Not even in Pg's top 10. Smart ppl never return 2nd time.
Exaggerated clickbait overused many times for this stall, so ppl r misinformed. Plenty more better ones in Pg.
You really need to be wearing gloves if you’re going to cook food for people that should be the first thing you put on before you touch Food
There's a reason why you can't replicate this at home and why these street food has their ahem uniqueness.

Well said! Now many hawkers here in Penang DO practise good hygiene. No more bare hands. Either with gloves or tongs. This stall exceptionally unhygienic, maybe bc it's aredi popular. Overrated by social media. As always, like some other places, indeed taking the tourists for a ride. Pg does offer a great variety of the best hawker food. It's a paradise. All r welcome!
