Been looking forward to this announcement for weeks now. Looks are superb, quality is definitely on a par with higher end manufacturers. Rory is definitely right on the physical buttons and knobs for the climate control & infotainment volume. Not everything needs to be touchscreen! It's great news for the Sunderland plant, can't wait to see them rolling off the production line and exported via The Port of Tyne.
Yeah catch up indeed, some of these new features I've had on my 2012 car.....but remember Nissan make budget cars so I guess they have to penny-pinch in features to meet the price point.
Great review of another terrific product. It's tough for Nissan to stay at the top level with almost every brand chasing them in this segment but they seem to have achieved it again with this iteration.
Picking mine up on Monday - cannot wait! This video is good but honestly it doesn’t even do the car justice. It is so nice inside. I test drove a few suv’s and none came close to the quality of the Qashqai and it’s so stylish it made every other car feel ‘basic’. You couldn’t see the steering wheel in the video but it’s a thing of beauty!..... can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Why does everyone call it 400Z for 400hp? What if they want to add a more powerful version. What if they want to add a 4 cylinder? Will those be 400Z too? I'm sure it'll just be Z
Beauty and a Beast of a car. Nissan has truly done a good job with this iteration. Only hope is that they would offer an option for a lighter interior colour.
Although it's faster than the Ford one, my wifes Fiestas touchscreen is garbage, you press a button, then think it hasn't pressed because it doesn't react until the following week, so you press it again and it selects something on the next screen where you pressed, even though it wasn't there at the time.
At 6:06 you talk about 5 diesel variant but there wasn’t any mention of diesel during the launch. Think they mentioned only petrol, mild hybrid and the e-power version which comes out later.

We traded this in for our second Qashqai 1.3 DiG-T 160 M-Connecta 5dr DCT with Glass Roof Pack in Nov 2018 because we got a great price and we wanted Petrol instead. Both cars have been great but the only downside has been the servicing of them by the dealer called Glyn Hopkins who didn't have the experience to resolve issues like with the ISOFixs, or any understanding why one of the tyres kept showing it had deflated even though it hadn't and yet they charged me for a replacement tyre which I hadn't reported any problems with, which the service advisor and I checked the car over before handing the keys to them to carry out any works. I currently have a complaint with the Ombudsman about the dealer Glyn Hopkins, so if anyone has had problems with them, raise it with the Motor Ombudsman via the following link ( www.themotorombudsman.org ) I think this new car with its extra technical widgets will be beneficial to people and of course everyone loves more space, but is it real safe to have a massaging facility on the front seat?
