Almost as much a tourism advertisement as a car review. Damn, I love living in Switzerland. The road in the video is the "Sustenpass" for those interested.
this is by far the best AutoTrader video you guys made the videography and editing are absolutely amazing i would go to say that this is better than the roma video
I'm more impressed with Rory having the roof down when there's snow on the mountains! As for the car, I'd have this over the DB11 MkII or DB11 Vanquish from Aston Martin easily. Against the Roma? That's a harder ask.
The investment went into the hybrid drive train with a cheeky fresh facelift to keep it going until 2030 then Bentley will be all electric with no combustible engines
🤭.. The thing I like with Matt tho is he goes into details.. but he does seem like he got bored of reviewing cars and is just trying to get it over with 😅
This is a whole different concept of a review. That low-mid range that Matt does, doesn’t deserve the production that AT reviews do. Plus that experience on top gear does show… no hiding that
Rory gives the details good and bad with no sugar coating at all! Keep up the good work and keep it coming. Most complete car reviewer on the net today.
The Continental Speed is way more expensive than a DB12… not really comparing apples with apples here…. Maybe compare the “Standard” Continental against DB12
That’s a hell of a colour spec, I normally don’t like the ‘speed’ colour split on the interior but in navy and red with wood veneers it’s pretty spectacular. Also spectacular is this video’s cinematography, absolutely mind blowing.
Personally I prefer the looks of the previous model. I think the front lights and camera on the grille on this new model look terrible! Plus the weight of this thing is so much more too. I'm not a fan of Hybrids. I would take the DB12 over this all day long. Great presentation as always though Rory, you're THE MAN 🤜🏽🤛🏽👍🏽
Fantastic review with stunning scenery that perfectly complements it. I almost thought there was a green screen behind Rory! As always, great insights!
I think Aston will be fine. The loss of boot space for a Tourer and some weird (chopped sperm and trying-too-hard tiger references) styling details won’t move customers away from Aston. It’s a fine Continental but doesn’t move the game forward beyond emissions compliance. But what a location for a launch. Stunning.
The DB12 is a V8 Rory not a V12. I’d take the Aston over the Bentley now that it has the new dash. I think Aston has up’ed its game and now has a better (perhaps younger) image. The Roma interior doesn’t cut it in this company.
@@TIMSANDYSURF Right, but the rear seats of the Bentley, while functional, aren't as spacious as in a RR Spectre and GTs are more likely to been enjoyed for a single or a couple than in family (and is not like people are having lots of children lately, anyway).
As a loyal and recent Jag owner (2024 F-Type P575), very frustrating that Bentley, Aston, Porsche, etc keep high HP V-8, while Jag deep six the glorious AJ 5.0 supercharged V8 for BEV. Pure insanity
'cross-plane crank'! Do you have any idea what you mean by this? For context: the EV-only output is about the same as a good 2.0L diesel but it has to move about 75% more mass - don't expect expect hot hatch performance!
I love Bentleys. The interior is one of, if not the best, in the game. But the boot is atrocious, and I really do not like the headlights. The quads looked much better to me!
The interiors are so timeless and utilitarian. I don’t think it requires any sort of redesign. Especially in today’s time where almost ever car market in Europe is moving to those horrific screens for each and everything.
From Wiki : Retaining the exterior look and the Porsche Panamera platform of the third generation Continental GT, the fourth generation model has been slightly restyled with features adopted from the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar and Mulliner Batur concept cars.
Even the Coupe has been ruined, as a GT car. As I understand it, boot space has gone from about 360 litres (already tight), to 260 litres...about the same as a DB12. One is used to shipping luggage with mid-engined Ferraris and the like...but to do so with a Bentley... Seriously? Even the Portofino has about 290 litres, I think (with the roof up)! It's just depressing. P. S. The new Ferrari 12-Cilindri has 270 litres. Bentley has destroyed a huge USP, for me.
This video's visuals are unreal. Props to the camera crew and behind the scenes. Just...wow.
shame fps mismatch doesn't make it smooth.
Pretty sure I rode past this on my motorbike on the Susten Pass in September. It was certainly this model in that colour and a little film crew.

Meh. The last real Bentley was the Mulsanne EWB.
