But for what the S4 is build - and in my oppinion that is not a poor man's RS or some never grown up puperterian trying to win the start from the red-light - but long, fast and comfortable traveling. The TDI brings its own benefits. The S4 TFSI will use up his petrol on high-speed after 400km ... the TDI can also go double the distance. Yes! The new S4 avant
This car actually looks class ngl
Minor correction from an S4 owner - the mild hybrid did not "sneak into the S5 Avant", but already into the older S4 TDI, having an 1kW 48V electric motor.
Absolute farce they named that TDi an S4 😂
@@jimmymcgoo8641 let me guess.. your car expertise is based on GTA?
Have you ever driven an S4 or the TDI S4 or anything faster, than 200km/h regularly?
What is missing in your oppinion? In contrast to the RS4 the S4 is more often used on long, fast trips (grand tourismo)... the TDI does pretty well on these.
@@ThorDyrden Great put down, not. I've driven one and own the V6 petrol and driven many other performance cars. The TDi should never have been given the S4 badge in my opinion. Don't cry or get upset over my opinion, you're a grown man.
@@jimmymcgoo8641 oh I'm not upset... I owned both and drove both up to their topspeed and also over longer high-speed rides (which is more important)...
You just did not bring up any argument at all why the TDI in your opinion should not be named S4.
E.g. - I don't really like the usually praised 8-speed ZF automatic for these cars (same true for 340i). In lower gears it is to indirect for my liking. Above 50km/h it's great - but I prefer the DCT in the new S5.
With BEV same guys seem to we wining about the low distance without a refueling, which are now wining about a gran-tourismo being a diesel?
At last - Well done Audi. The need has not been squashed / ignored.
The title reminds of what people say when they get caught cheating on their relationship
I enjoyed watching the video review
I hate those giant chrome hoops on the front. Probably a fatal flaw for me including the cheap looking screens in the car.
What's the mpg like on the s5?
Dope hoodie my Guy
LOVE the look of this!
the exterior is pretty nice in my opinion, if I could get this with the interior of an (R)S3 8Y I would definitely go for it. But with these huge screens. I really don't know
Happy to see an estate but really miss the compact 4 door of yesteryear
It's an Audi wagon. With a hybrid motor. This car is exactly what the market needs, and should have decent resale value.
A RS5 V8 TT would be 🔥🔥
You notice the bonnet on the left hand side as we look at it there’s a Large gap example is 3.48 sec or 5.49 into Vid a better example. The dash is a zillion better than Audi had before . Would prefer the Buttons on steer wheel
At exactly 5:08 to 5:10 in this clip, Rory refers to this car as the S6.....
I do gotta respect Audi for keeping the estate/wagon alive !
Compare this to the outgoing S4 (V6 diesel with 700Nm torque) - no faster, less economical, cost-cutting interior, £15k more. Is that progress?
Great-looking car. Audi, can we please have an A5 Allroad or Avant in the USA?
How many screens do you need?
