Making a Kia Sportage Body Lift Kit

- Showing some of the machining steps for the Kia Sportage body lift kit.
We developed this kit over 15 years ago at the request of some Kia Sportage owners. Initially we made the 1-3/8" (35mm) lift kit, as that was the highest lift possible without altering the OEM body mounting hardware. Later, based upon customer request, we added a 3" lift kit with taller blocks and custom machined bolt extensions. There is a lot of machining steps required for these lift blocks and the bolt extensions. We have both the blocks and the bolt extensions available separately.

Note that you can only install a body lift on a vehicle with body-on-frame construction. The 1st generation models (through 2005) were body-on-frame. Later generation models used a uni-body construction that thus have no separate body to lift off the frame and thus a body lift is not possible.

I have a 2009 Kia Borrego 2 wheel drive I need a 2" body lift kit.

Any links to the Montero Gen 3 body lifts? Interested.
It seems that generation is a uni-body type construction:

If that's the case, the body and frame are one piece and you can't easily raise the body off the frame as there are no separate body mounts.

I'm going to get a leveling kit put on first then your body pucks
That's the best order to do it. Suspension lifts are less predictable as to how much lift you'll get on a given vehicle. Do that first, then assuming you want to installer larger tires, check clearances:

and size the body lift accordingly.

Can you guys make a lift block for a Kia Soul?
Possibly. Let us know the rough diameter(s) of the body mount bushings and if the setup is like the Sportage, will need to know the diameter of the inner stud attached to the body along with the thread pitch and how much threaded length and exposed thread there is. E.g. on the Sportage, bushings are about 80mm dia. and the studs are 18mm dia. with a 14mm threaded portion w/ about 35-40mm exposed thread.

Didn't think much seeing a truck floating...made sense with big tires, looked odd with regular size...Out of curiosity...looked up lift ...another car boy toy necessity...will no longer look up at those trucks and wonder why...could use a lift on my shoes...so understand when needed, wanted, desired...to traverse terrain or for show...also someone told me "Rubicon Trail"...(up till then the Rubicon was a river in northern Italy)...without a "lift" there...end is point of no return
