Hey Tom! I'm a country boy! and seeing the county side with that river flow, you just meant to hurt my feelings, brother! I would built a tiny house right by the river and live there forever.... Man! I love the trail.....
Thank you very much! This little thing actually does very well off road. I wish more people would actually give them a fair chance. I'm thinking of starting a Facebook page because I actually have a bunch of pictures showing the places where this thing has been. Maybe others might show some interest and try these little things out? Who knows :-)
Unfortunately with this size tire there would be some rub without the lift. I wouldn't say it would be terrible, but it would definitely happen. The rub is worse with a factory wheel because of the backspacing it comes with. I think if you were to offset just a little bit it would help but still May rub Just a Touch.
@@tracyjamestavares3255 wheel spacers would work just fine as long as you get something that has grade 8 hardened studs. I have seen some of the cheaper spacers supplied with substandard wheel studs that end up breaking and the wheel falls off. Usually the aluminum is just fine, but please make sure that whoever you buy the spacers from is supplying good studs with them. I want to say 1 in is about where you want to be with this size tire.
On the Russian Federation Ebay site they are offering a 20mm lift which is .7 of 1 inch or a 30mm lift which is 1.1 inch. The picture they show looks bigger. I'm after a 2 inch lift for my 97 Sportage. Did you get the 20mm or the 30mm on Ebay ?
Rodney flying When I bought mine they had a 40 mm and I got 2 inches out of it. Looks like the closest available now is the 30 mm. With the geometry you should still get pretty close to the 2 inch mark.
I have universal fender flares I cut and rolled a lil bit of the fenders. Got rid of the front plastic bumper. Going to be adding a winch. And replace all of the front suspension and steering. And add a lift. And different shocks in the rear. I don't like the ones that I have in it now.

Honestly they have done very well! I usually run them about 16 psi and they’ve been in everything from mud to large sharp rocks. Haven’t ruined one yet.
Hey Mr.Thomas. I have a 2001 Sportage and I am getting the lift already from eBay. As far as the wheels. I found some 15x7 but offset says -6. Is that okay? Just asking to see if you remember the offset on yours because it fits perfect.
@@micro-pigoffroadclub8387 awesome thanks. I appreciate the help. It's going to look great. Also I was driving on the hwy. At 70mph consistent, should the rpms be right around 3k rpms? Just seemed a little high. Just asking since you probably know these kia things.
Gary Are you standard transmission or automatic? Honestly I rarely take mine above 60 or 65 and I don’t recall the RPMs being quite that high at that speed. Let me know what you have and I will be happy to do a comparison when I make my way home in a couple days. It is very inexpensive on eBay or Amazon and is known as a soft 8. It is a simple steel economy wheel that a lot of sellers may call by something different. The two most important things are the size of the center bore and it needs some negative offset. Mine are -6 mm.
@@micro-pigoffroadclub8387I got two more questions. Where did you got your spacers? What are the specs for these wheels? I want to achieve the same results for my Sportage. have you heard about using jeep tj springs and rav4 shocks in the rear and spacers in the front for a 3in lift?
Yep! In fact, my plans are to add a spacer to my existing front lift, and then pull the rear lift and replace with TJ springs for one more inch!
