My definition of success is to just live and enjoy life as much as I can, because moments in life always changes. We as humans tend to focus a lot on what we don't have and when we get it; we still aren't happy because we're focusing on something else we dont have. So success for me is finding joy in my circumstances whatever season I am in life, and when I get a new blessing I will be grateful for it.

Aside to Deandra : yes exactly. In short, we hanker for what we don't have. I call it the "grass is always greener (on the other side)" syndrome.
We should live in the "present" and neither in the past or future.

My definition of success is being able to raise my son alone for 12 years, being able to sustain an apartment, bills, give him food and shelter and the opportunity to travel to different places of the world all alone.

2. Be frugal an minimal on spending
(Don't buy what you don't need)
3. Save money wisely towards retirement
4. Save to (lnvest),it's a proven way to get richer.

I feel like most of us go through the phase of taking on the society's mainstream version of success. - the typical movie about 'making it' in the New York City, cab drives, little sleep, paper coffee cups, being busy... and then usually, along the way, we realise what we need to be happy. in the best case scenario, we realise these things early enough and without paying too high a price.
Hi Sophie. I've had to redefine success. It used to be all about a career and having things. Now, it's about enjoying today. Total mindset shift. Thanks for helping me along this new path to success.

Investment are stepping stones for success. Waiting for the government to provide is a big waste

Success to me is doing GOD's will for your life (and doing it well), ... and at the same time, striving for "peace" in my life, away from the ways of this world. Looking for "calm amidst the storm", in this world, ... and looking forward to that day that we'll share in the glory of the Kingdom of GOD.
I tend to fall into negative self-comparison when seeing the successes of many people especially at my age. But this was such a beautiful reminder that everyone's journey is different. We shouldn't feel bad about not "copying" the success of others. We should be walking our own path to success at our own pace. 😊 Thank you Sophie.

For me, success is being able to be happy and feel full with life and with yourself. I have never managed to be happy, and I dont think i will, but I never give up on my dreams, no matter how depressing my life is.

Absolutely agree! Seems like the current trend for success is being well travelled, the pressure is high to save up and go on exotic trips or to far away places… but sometimes all I want to do is stay home and make music, i don’t want to undermine travelling, but to me creating something beautiful at home is just as worthy as going out into the world……. I hope people can just stop judging everyone else’s preferences

Such an insightful video. I have changed my definition of success over the years. Today, to me, success means enjoying my life, helping others, and getting to travel to new places. 💗
For me, success is very different to that that's envisaged by the average person.
It's good health. It's having enough money to be comfortable. It's having good friends and relationships. It's having a peaceful ride or walk through the countryside. It's being not stressed out about useless things. It's about not worrying about things you can't change.
Once you die, you're never coming back. If you wish to live longer, remove stress from your life, and the things that cause it.
See work as a part of your life.....rather than having it run your life.

I always felt alone by having other values and goals than society wants me to have. People never understood why I don’t want to work all day and rather enjoy my life by working a part time job as a young adult. For me success always sounded like „work as much as you can and than you have a lot of money to spend“. I rather have less money and more love. Love is success!

Cleaning my space before I start my shift and logging off by the end of my shift.
Success is when I step outside to get my fresh produce and cooking healthy dinner.
Washing the dishes after eating a delicious meal. Taking my night bath and reading few pages of a book.
Lastly watering my beautiful plants.💚

I still stand by the definition of success as "the progressive realization of a worthy ideal" If you have an idea or a pursuit and your are steadily working towards it, then you are a success. That could be anything. Whether it's spending time more time with family, becoming a great teacher, or whatever your ideal is, then you are a success. It's not the pursuit of the ideal and whether others consider it "success" or no, but when you look deep inside and ask yourself whether you're honestly working toward that ideal. Great video as always Sophie! It looks like you and your family are doing well!
success to me is not what I thought it was, but then again I was measuring it by comparison to others, it was only when I understood how grateful I truely am for what I have, my focus on relationships with others that I love and when I began to look inside for the answers and to quieten the unrest I felt that I see how I have grown to understand what success now feels like to me xx

I ran from the keeping with Joneses mentality many years ago thank God. I've managed to live a relatively free existence but still had to conform to the 9 to 5 to earn a living before the internet opportunities. Life is hard to define as is success. Nice vid again. Thanks 💜 Aloha

Success is Balance to me. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a great career, money, travel, nice house, etc. We can have those things along with great family life, quiet time, good health, etc.
It doesn’t have to be one or the other, we can co-exist as many different versions of ourselves. We’re supposed to be happy and abundant and feel good!
Balance is always the answer it seems :)
My definition of success has certainly changed over the years, for me success is being happy doing what I am passionate about as well as peace of mind.
Success is only defined as what we as individuals define it by, no success is the same. You inspire me to move to Hawaii seriously I feel like my energy would be at its optimal level there. I resonate so much with the way you see things, success in this case and it amazes me I just want to learn more from you every time I watch a video you put out!

Ok so l thought I knew what you were trying to convey and was about to close off the video but then you said we want to know about the habits of successful people and I felt called out ..because no matter I already am motivated and driven ,I am so addicted to watching these videos anyway so that I dont miss anything important before I start working for myself.This hit me hard !
I love how beautifully you tell a story through your words and visuals. ❤️❤️❤️ So true about how many of us reach for “success” as defined by culture/ our families/ according to other people’s standards, but don’t actually take that time to figure out what we value and hence what success looks like for us. It wasn’t until I actually gave myself time and blank space in my busy diary to just “be”, with no agenda, that I started reflecting on this too. I still don’t have a definite answer on what my version of “success” is, but I’m closest I’ve ever been to defining it. Thanks for sharing!

But because we’re at different stages of growth and development throughout our journey, success will, and should, look different for everyone. We all have such varied ideals. There will always be someone who appears to have more (or less) or those who appear to be doing more (or less). In my mind, success is conquering oneself, the ability to maintain an inner sense of peace and contentment, cultivating genuine loving relationships and being a decent human being who respects and has an appreciation for nature and humanity.
