- The Edmonton Oilers are looking to tie their Western Conference Final series at 2 games apiece and turn this matchup into a best-of-three heading back to Dallas for game 5 on Friday tonight. Connor McDavid is showing signs of heating up, so the supporting cast for the #oilers has to get going here, including Leon Draisaitl who's been a bit quiet as of late. The #texashockey have done a phenomenal job on the penalty kill so far which has really limited Draisaitl's offensive output. Hi! Stars fan here, I found your channel after game 3 and really enjoyed listening to your analysis! Edmonton being a 3rd period team typically might not bode well for them in this series (I hope) because so far Oettinger has been stellar in 3rd periods, he has only allowed 8 goals on 154 shots in the thrid (and he allowed 6 in 2 games against Colorado) so he has a .948 sv%; as a stars fan I hope that continues but really enjoy your channel!
I really think Knobs was forced to put Nurse and Ceci together because Desharnais looked like he was struggling. He gave the puck away on one of the three 2nd period goals last game because he lost his composure/panicked. I know, what a catch 22!
Oilers have the skill to make it past 2 rounds, but they need to show they have the grit to make it through the 2nd half.

I feel like the Oilers won't let this series get away from them tonight. I still think Dallas wins, but the Oilers are going to play like their backs are against the wall. Looking forward to the game.

I'll be in the Moss Pit tonight. Hopefully it brings the boys some luck somehow, we all know that this is a must-win. Hopefully the changes that Knoblauch is making also pay off as well.
Oilers do or die. Its the most important game of the year for them so far.
Broberg should draw in for Nurse. Nurse looks lost out there, making simple plays look difficult. Cant anticipate... Broberg will certainly do better than what Nurse is providing, plus he can skate and pass just as good if not better than Nurse.
I think nurse-Bouchard, and Ekholm-Broberg makes the most sense.
I don't think broberg is the move. He lost his spot to Vinny Desharnais. But next year Broberg needs a spot for sure
@@joreljohal2684 Nurse is kryptonite for everyone, no one wants to play with him. Bouchard said "not a chance!" Nurse and Bouchard might be even worse, we know how Bouchard can be defensively.

They need to know what it takes to win.
Ken Hollands terrible moves are finally showing up. His cap management of the contracts of Nurse Kulak Foegle and Cambpell have given this team no chance to win a cup. McDavid and Leon carry then way further than they should get. Without them this is a 1st overall pick team.

If Nurse-Ceci is a line someone needs to check Knob for a brain injury.
I think nurse is not in the practice lineup today so that might be something!

With Skinner in net, the outlook for this game just got worse. Sorry, but that decision might cost them the series. Skinner is their best goalie, but after playing 5 GAMES IN A ROW, he’s tired, and he’s going to make little mistakes. I really hope I’m wrong, but this is poor judgment from the coach.
I agree with the possible fatigue factor. Skinner historically needs rested every 3 or 4 games. Thought Pickard would get the start too but 🤷♂️
He’s tired??? Any other playoff goalies too tired to play excellent hockey?? No. Being tired isn’t an acceptable excuse for a playoff player. Quite a lame excuse too. If a goalie gets too tired in the playoffs he needs to go play for the Blackhawks or similar team.
@gregsgoogle2947 load management in the NHL is much different nowadays for goaltenders. It's why you see many teams run 1A and 1B goaltenders in the regular season and split games so that when they go to a #1 for the post-season they aren't bagged.
@@AHockey1993 I understand that but that’s in the regular season... NOT the playoffs. Have you noticed any other team sitting goalies for rest in the playoffs? The Bruins invented the 2 goalie strategy but even they dropped it in the playoffs. Being able to complete & win a playoff series is what separates good goalies from average goalies. You know this so why all of the excuses for Skinner?? Dal or NY or FL would never consider sitting their starter for rest in a playoff series. Just saying our goalie needs rest in the most important games of his career sounds so wimpy.
There’s no back to back games in the playoffs. No 3 games in 5 days like regular season. Always at least 1 day off. Plenty of time for rest or nappies with a blankie. Hot cocoa too!!

There was no reason to extend Nurse to the size and length he got, not even at the time when he still had one year left before he needed to sign his extension. If we don’t try to bring back Draisaitl then I fully expect McDavid to walk as well because this franchise is a joke of asset management.
Skinner is awesome for our killing the Power Plays the entire playoffs ( a thumbs up for Picard as back up)

I dont have much hope for this team. No killer instinct, no will to win, no leadership. They need massive changes in the offseason to bring in a winner like Marchessault, and ship out losers like ceci

We can't keep playing Nurse. That guy is an overpriced bum, lazy and out of position over and over. This is the @#$@#$ playoffs. Yet he's wandering around the ice, barely putting in any effort. If you're sick be a man and admit. Instead of whining and whining. TRADE NURSE ASAP. He is a cancer in that locker room, I've heard the rumblings of staff talking.
