Corsa D anti roll bar drop link replacement

  • This Corsa D had a persistent knocking sound coming from the front near side. There was no obvious play in the steering arm/track rod end or bottom ball joint.
    Upon further inspection I noticed that there was play on the anti roll bar drop link when I levered against it with a bar.
    It was fairly straight forward to replace. I got a drop link from a motor factors for £10.

    Beleive me youre very lucky those nuts came undone so easily,mine were seized on so solid after only being on the car for a couple of years that an impact wrench would only move the nuts about half a turn then no more.
    I ended up having to cut through them between the anti roll bar and the ball joints with an angle grinder

      Same here. Also I had to jack up all the gubbins that the wheel is attached to because the new part would not line up to the holes. Talking would be helpful. The video still helped though.

      Same here with my Astra. Top nut came off easy but bottom one ended being an angle grinder job! Bloody pain.
