An unmarked letter arrives at the hideaway containing a request most curious: the Dominant of Leviathan, long lost Eikon of Water, is in need of rescue.
To heed this call, Clive and his companions must journey to Mysidia-a hidden land under a blue sky-where they will uncover the tragic history of a forgotten people.
Purchase The Rising Tide separately or bundled with our first DLC, Echoes of the Fallen, in the discounted Expansion Pass. The FINAL FANTASY XVI base game is required to play both DLCs.

The pain in the narrators voice at revealing “the sacrifice of a single child” was *so* powerful. Excellent voice acting, and I’m looking forward to (and praying for) emotional nuance like this in the rising tide
I was more like rolling my eyes like “Right… of course it’s a child that must be sacrificed, how cliche”.
@PikaLink91 your options are child or virgin girl, no one cares thematically about the sacrifice of a guy. And the main story already took the sacrifice of power so that's out.

@@AnotherGeek.... The way Square Enix advertises their games is like this they talked about KH3 right after FFXV released same goes for KH4. They got FFXVI and FFVII out of the way now it’s time for KH4’s marketing to really kick off plus they’re reusing assets from FFVII and KH3 so it isn’t like it’s going to take much.

This is becoming all too common these days, great music in trailers, poor music in game... Starfield only had that 1 good theme in the trailer and had no music in game, none of those famous elder scrolls ambient moments at all.
@@mightylink65 lol no, not in this case. The music in FF16 was fantastic, not poor at all. They only cut that reveal trailer music which they’re now reimplementing.

With much enthusiasm, that as a lifelong FF fan, I am looking forward to the DLC for this game. This had everything I wanted in an FF.
Please release an Eikon Arcade mode where we can play through all the Eikon battles exclusively ! :D
THIS! Replaying entire stages is so annoying to just to re-experience the Eikon battles
maybe even, if we’re lucky, have exclusive new battles against Shiva, Ramuh and Odin

I dont care what anyone says about square enix, I as a fan owe so much to all the hard work and effort to every team that works on a final fantasy...Yoshi P cares so much about his fans and Soken pushed through absolute hell to provide majestic and triumphant soundtracks to enjoy. Everyone on the FF14 and FF16 teams deserve so much praise and thanks. Were I able to I'd hug and shake the hands of every person who worked on these amazing games
Yes, Yoshi P is literally one of the best directors in the business nowadays.
Must be nice to live in your delusional world where corporations can "Do no wrong". Final Fantasy died after Sakaguchi left the company and 13 came out. Yoshi P is a hack and everything he did story wise in 14 was a ripoff of previous final fantasy games the dialogue and plot is boring and predictable (Which i get in this day and age is hard to be original) . 14 is a Final Fantasy theme park for franchise casuals. FF16 is devil may cry labeled "Final Fantasy".
While yes, the company has maintained the the franchises "Cinematic gameplay" experience that Sakaguchi pushed in the late 90's with the playstation era. The story and gameplay of newer final fantasy's are a pale shadow of what the franchise once was.
Imagine being this spiteful about this of all things. Sorry you can't enjoy it. 🤷♂️

I would really love to see Chaos as the final boss in the upcoming DLC expansions. The ancient Dark Lord who terrorises the whole Valisthea many years ago.

Please, remove the auto-sprint mechanic, or at least allow us to turn it off. I would never sprint in this game if it didn't force me. It feels so clunky to not have control over it aside from walking Clive around slower than it takes to trigger it, and you can't stop sprinting without making a complete stop. It really drags the exploration gameplay down. TY. The DLC looks awesome.

It sounds like Revenge Twofold, the HW Dungeon Boss theme from the patches.
The "chanting" at the start reminds me of FFXIV - Eden: Shiva's Theme, the very beginning at least

I hope this game gets more attention when the PC release happens. The team worked so hard to deliver a great game, I would love to see more DLC from them.

You do realize that isn't possible, it was literally promoted everywhere possible including celebrity endorsements and banners in the most populated cities in the world like NY times sq. How in the world do you think it needs more attention? It needs to be a good game, and it isn't, thats why nobody gives a c about it.
@@ImmortalDrayloAh yes that’s why it sold millions and received near unanimous praise lol. I thought the game had issues but it’s overall a very solid experience with some fantastic moments
@@ImmortalDraylo Not sure what you're on about lol. It's a great game and it's been received very well. Square Enix also admitted that it was considered a success. The fact that you don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad game.

@@gavo7911last estimates put it at 3 million units sold, which is pitiful. It was a console exclusive that underperformed by all standards. Nobody talks about it or is streaming it, its just pure garbage like 15 was. It doesn't have unanimous praise, a simple google search or youtube search will show all the people criticizing its downfalls. What it does have is paid bots trying to promote it.

It's been a long time since I was this excited for DLC. Clive's story is amazing and I can't wait to finish it.
If you look at the name of one of the enemies in the beginning half of the trailer its called the "Timekeeper". Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Leviathan is HUGE. New eikon battle and the skills look sweet too. For all its flaws I do love ff16

But having one of the main plot points being searching for these giant stone tablets that show every single Eikon, and The Eikons main purpose being to be fused together to create Ultimas new body, literally leaves no rrom for carbuncle...unless you know they just wanted to throw away all the lore the game spends so much time building.

he is using Leviathan Skills (Water skills)
Each Eikon Clive obtains in the game gives him 5 new skills to use.

My single biggest disappointment with XVI was that the music from the very first trailer never appeared in the game. Now I realize Soken and YoshiP were just toying with me all along.
Oh good Ultima's going to somehow be in this. I was wondering what Leviathan was to him if he never needed Clive to absorb it in the base game. I wonder if it's going to change the ending.

Really loved the Rising Tide dlc! Any chance we can see Clive’s new abilities have an impact on the ending? Also, a Super Clive unlockable like the DMC series? Plus, dark side Clive as an unlockable costume and some other alt costume colors/costumes based off the different Eikons?

Love FFXVI so much, one of my favourite games of 2023. Super hype for Leviathan battle and ability’s, looks absolutely gorgeous, wonder if they’ll do more dlc where we get more summons that weren’t in the game, unless that’s it for summons in the FF series. So hype they brought this music back for another trailer, FFXVI music is top tier. Is it just me or does it look like they are teasing a new ending you can get for beating the dlc? ❤️💙🌌

The Omega dlc required you to have the Torgal, Joshua and Jill questlines completed so I assume it'll be the same for Rising Tides.

Am I’m the only one that believe FF16 and Avatar: The Last Airbender alongside The Legend of Korra, through World Building. Simply put the story of Clive Rosfield is a retelling of the story of Wan: The First Avatar. 🙂

You’re right, they didn’t. They didn’t start development on DLC until after release because there was high demand for it
I think they had some ideas stored for a possible dlc if people wanted itt and made some assets and left them there, and now we having the second dlc, smart move!
It sucks that this is the final content we'll get 4 FF 16, which so far is the best ps5 game 2 date and 1 of the greatest and most badass games ever made. I wish they would've made a dlc or feature bout the 5 year gap after Cid died and Clive takes up his name or bout Clive time as a slave b4 cing Jill and after the beginning.
