Did you miss the part were right after this ultima stops time. And the part at the apodetry where he also stops time. Or the interdimesional rift which is beyond time and space.
@@yeettm8014 "Part after this" I never played. "At the apodetry" I forgot about that, I don't recognize the word. "The interdimensional rift" I remember that but I don't recognize it as the same kind of thing.
@@yeettm8014 I'm not sure if those are instances of Ultima stopping time rather than him speaking directly to Clive's mind and time doesn't seem to pass only because Ultima's thoughts transfer to Clive instantly. The timestop effect is there probably to just convey that these things happen in Clive's mind in an instant.
@@Sincleaver than what about the whole infernal shadow fight? Literally at that happens during stopped time. Or if it isn’t even stopped time, what is it? That undermines ultima as the creator of magic. He has all the abilities of those below him.
@@yeettm8014 it's all in Clive's mind, he basically just invaded his mind either to motivate him or crush him. Those "stopped time" was just Clive dreaming the entire situation, it could've been just few seconds passed in real world.
This just show that the combat in 16 is super flashy and cool and is its own pillar right next to Rebirth of fantastic combat. So cool to get 2 amazing FF games back to back
I wish I could see a wonderful gameplay like this in "Granblue Fantasy : Relink". This game also has "perfect guard" and "perfect dodge" as well. I think it will suit your play style. Thanks.
Wow, no Medal of Valor for doing that hitless? Kind of a shame. Especially since this is probably the best boss in the game (at least in terms of bosses you fight as Clive and not as Ifrit). Anyway, as everyone else has said, truly amazing gameplay! I have no idea how you learn fights so perfectly and so quickly, especially when there's so much going on. Do you save before the boss so you can practice the fight itself? I can't imagine practicing through Stage Replay every time.
Can confirm if Jill ever Prime in DLC? I mean, after she gave Clive her Shiva. She didn't prime again after that in main game but still somewhat using Ice Powers.
The crazy part of this is probably you were forced to be defensive, not even Omega did this. I guess the developers realized all those toys needed something to test them out.
This gameplay + ffv job system = ffxvii. Imagine being a red mage in this system! Clive already is a Mystic Knight/Sorceror, they went for a more traditional style where class = character's identity like ff9 and others. But messing around with some jobs would have benefited this game.
That moment wen people say the combat is to simple but in reality they just don't know how to play the game as intended to then you see this video and be like that how you play the game
Can someone enlighten me how come in the vid, Zantets is triggered instantly whereas for me, I need to hold the button for at least 1.5s before the label even changes. Am I missing something?
it seems that he buffers the button outside odin during some animation, then swaps to odin, pops arm of darkness and then release the button, seems some kind of bug or exploit
In terms of numbered titles I believe the WoL (FFXIV) might also have Clive beat due to being a composite FF character, including all titles (spinoffs) there a few protags that are above Clive, tho the most notable one is Jack Garland from Stranger of Paradise, he has almost identical power assimilation powers to Clive but it's not just limited to summons (Jack absorbed power from Emperor Mateus from FFII, Gilgamesh, Chaos, debatbly the strongest canon variant of Bahamut and more). Overall Clive is the probably tied with Noctis as the 3rd strongest FF protag behind WoL (FFXIV) and Lightning, including spin-off titles and the list becomes a very messy debate lol!

You sound like a typical souls player who only knows soulslike. To compare this game to sekiro is foolish indeed. If anything ff16 is an action RPG like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta. If you like DMC you will like this game. You can try a free ff16 demo but remember that it is a story driven game so alot of cutscenes.
The parrying in this game is a bit different in that you have to land an attack just before the enemy hits you with theirs, which then causes a brief time-slowdown as the reward for a successful parry.

😆 yup
I have no idea what just happened, but I think I liked it
I have the same feeling
Timekeeper is such a cool boss to fight, he also has his version of the Armiger too!
Dang Timekeeper attacks were beautiful. Loves the blue colour
That ending was clean, impressive as usual
Cut so clean, it cleaved through atomic bonds
FF16's Combat needs more recognition and that was a chef's kiss performance. Great Counters, Combos, switches, holy Moses. 11/10
That guy and Leviathan where nice surprises. They where strong.
Agreed. Though I think the DPS check against Levi was a little overtuned
@augmentedsoldier6676 Not really, the DPS check is good as it is. I was even able to get it first try after hearing so many complain about it.

Madness status irl 😂
I think stranger of paradise gameplay is better, combat is very immersive. This FF has too much battle pause, screen shake and flashes

wait until you watching leviathan boss fight NO DAMAGE in another video
You never cease to amaze me, Mr. Ongbal
10/10 for that killing blow.
Not having this guy have his own theme was a huge missed opportunity.
He is the closest thing we get to fighting a semi-primed Shiva.

You are legit the best when it comes down to skill in these games
Bruh the lack of stagger damage from Diamond Dust… damn this boy if beefy
You ended it in style too! No damage, no sweat. 😎
Inspirational display here. I think I need to use Bahamut's dodge more often.
Damn 🤧 You did that. Didn't notice that the Timekeeper was fighting with the Oath Keeper,Kairi gave Sora in Kingdom hearts. That's sick.
Simply insane. You are just too damn good!

that finisher was 🔥
this fight tells me there is more story to tell after 16 and before , there is only one person who would have put the time keep in place.
Flawless fight!! Very fun and exciting to watch the play.
I thought FF mode is too easy for ONGBAL.. Maybe Ultimaniac mode?
7:10 That’s dodge bruhhhhhhhhh 🔥
Amazing video. Have you tried Sephiroth in Rebirth?
Your play is always so beautiful
I am surprised no one is using the combination of thunderstrike and gigaflare. It does lots of damage.
Super damn cool finishing

A certified Ongbal classic! 😀
beautifully executed ,

Attacks are stylish but somehow feels like weapons are just superficially touching the enemy unlike Sekiro, God of War.
This entire fight had to be a nod to noctis’s moveset, it’s so armiger coded but it’s awesome
I have platinum in this game and 250 hours and all DLCs at 100 per cent.
Now I feel like a fucking noob.
>he parries oathbreaker with Garuda
I'm going home.
Wow! That's amazing damage 😎
I don't understand shit about this game, but this fight sure as hell looks extremely cool!
Timekeeper is basically Noctis but he's on steroid.
hello ongbal ! just curious any plan to play rise of ronin ? i hear it parry gameplay like sekiro !
I think we need clive vs dante
I really liked the dlc how did you like it Ongbal?
Knowing the context of this boss, i feel bad for the knight
Oh my God. I can't see anything 😢
