Great videos bro. I am thinking of doing a build with the Predator ghost motor. Would you recommend the CT200 or the BT200 frame to start with, I know the CT is a bit lighter? Or something else? For my first I really want something that has all the other parts already. Thx
I think it boils down to personal preference. I personally like the CT better because of seating position. It feels like you ride lower on the CT. The BT to me feels like you are riding higher on top of the frame. The BT is made from that nice thick tubing, so it is a good bike. They both would make a good bike.
I'm running a 10 tooth clutch and 60 tooth rear. I thought about buying a 15 or 17 in tire and putting a 50 tooth sprocket on it. Or putting a 20in tire on it. I can cruise over 60 now with no problems. I don't want to lose any speed or power. I'm running a 19 tire now. I'm thinking a 20in tire will be way too much of a strain on the clutch. Does anyone know if you can use a 50 tooth rear sprocket on a 17 or 15 in tire without losing speed. Thank you so much for your videos . Any suggestions about tire size and rear sprocket would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have a coleman CT200u-ex built 224 flattop piston, billet rod, hot 275 cam, 28lb springs, champion rockers, and a 10,000 rpm flywheel VM22 Chinese knockoff carb. bike has original gearing i cant get it over 38mph . at full throttle it bogs/ cuts out. runs good at full throttle until about 25 mph then i have to back off to a little over half throttle. looking for any advise on understanding what I am doing wrong
See I always see you doing street stuff why not give it a try off road Ive done nine miles full pull and the engine not float or choke and off road of 8% - 11% grade hill
I've always sucked at understanding how the ratios work but I just swapped out my stock 50 tooth for a lower 46 tooth just cause with the 50 tooth i was hitting 50 mph on the dot and i wanted to get over that 50 mph mark and figured a 46 tooth would do the job. I had no idea a larger tooth sprocket like a 60 tooth would be able to go just as fast as a 50 tooth or even faster. If we were neighbors I'd just pay you to set my bike up to do 60 and keep the torque at the same time. I gotta 265 Cam in mine as well but never saw 60 mph that's for sure lol. Also I originally planned on putting a 8 or 9 tooth sprocket on the front to keep some of the torque with that 46 tooth sprocket but i can't get them to fit on the jackshaft. Only the 10 tooth or higher will fit on it.
Usually a smaller sprocket will get you more top speed. But some of the time the engine just cant pull the higher gear if the ratio is to tall or the rider is heavier or if the cam doesnt make power until it gets up into the higher RPM band and the engine wont get there because of the higher gear.
