Absolute torque monsters
I’m 78 years old, I have had several Honda Gold wing motorcycles in my lifetime. Now I have this little scooter and I love it. I have it set up so I can give my great grandbabies a ride. I wish there were someone else in the area I could ride with close to my age. I like these videos
Man, I'm 66 just got a Massimo 200mb, what a blast, I also have a dual sport motorcycle and a quad, never to old !
Mark Collins where are you located? I’m in Northern Alabama
Man, I'm in Arizona, to far !
@@MrPetepictures Hi Mr Pete I'm from north Alabama too (Cullman)
I’m 33 I’m in Tuscaloosa, Al. I ride with anyone wanting to ride. I find myself
up 65 north pretty often. I was raised in Winston County I’m a little bitty town called Addison, Al.
I'm dead, the savage part "They must be 2 year olds"
Awesome! I laughed when yall both came flying over the driveway!
I'm 5:32 into video Red Beard. Same issues. One bike faster than the other. Gotta finish the video. Thanks for uploading this issue sir!
Ok finally finished watching. I think the zip tie trick will work for sure!!! Thanks Red Beard! Ordering stuff Tuesday! Power sports!
Man that is SO quick. Great job man. To much fun.
Dude Woah! These things haul ass up hill now!! Hill climb race!!!
Thanks as usual for the limitless entertainment! Always enjoy your videos!
Bought one of these because of you guys lol! I’ve been working on perfecting my build, I’ve done a few things with it sofar just an air intake carb jet upgrade gov screw removed and ziptie trick and I’m topping out at 33-34 mph. Next up I wanna remove the actual gov and put on one of these sprockets. At some point I straight chained it and topped out at 54 mph that was fun until the chain snapped😂 so I just went back to the regular jackshaft and she runs fine again. Definitely recommend for any beginner I went into this with zero experience and have learned so much just on my own let alone what y’all have taught me through these weeks! Keep putting mini bike vids out!
Was planning on doing something like this. Did the clone engine it came with ever crap out on you after all that?
I have a brand new ct200-ex mini bike and I am keeping it stock. I like the way that it handles now. I will buy a new mini bike with a clutch, torque converter and comet drive belt if I want to go faster!!!!! Your upgrades are fantastic if a person wants to go faster on these 200 series mini bikes. Keep up the good work gentlemen and do not let nobody tell you differently!!!!!
I just put a torqe converter on a brand new br200 it's slower now. But is so smooth The back sprocket is why I am here I will definitely upgrade
Man you guys have it made. Wish I had a yard like that and easy access to a wide breakdown lane, you can test everything without going anywhere.
Yes sir. Hoping to get some land in the next few years to do some real testing
Thank you for your videos. I have a MB 200 and I love her. She is great to carry things around the ranch and just have fun on. I have learned a lot from you.
Thanks for watching!
Hey Red beard ,If you back out the screw that holds the throttle from getting its peak power, there is a great difference but the two random holes on the throttle arm hit the bracket so I ground those holes off and got just a little more power, it works great.
Been wanting one of these for a while! Too much fun!
time to do a one or two day camping trip and see how practical they are on a 30 or 50 mile round trip !
Got to love the sound of nature
+mike eichacker and mini bike screaming over the driveway
The new intro is sick!
Awesome video! Maybe say "less expensive, economical or reasonably priced" rather than "cheap" when describing something that could possibly come from future sponsors or companies that would like you to review their tools. Your videos are the best because it's hands on, how to and your projects are achievable with knowledge gained from your tutorials. Just a suggestion because I like y'all so much.
I am 73 years old in WA state not looking for speed. Want to use like the tote-goats from the 1950'S. throw a gold pan in a backpack and strap on the .357 mag to follow stream beds up the mountains. Rick
Came here from Jason explains things 😎👌sweet video's y'all keep it coming
Good video! I'm trying to get one of those Coleman's this weekend.
Those look so fun. My brother has a baja heat with a torque converter and a lot of engine mods. When you get the torque converter you will never want to go back to the old clutch
The converter dosnt help with top speed right? For now I’m good at my current speed so I don’t wanna put one on and have that reduced might just upgrade the clutch.
You guys rock, you make cool fast stuff!
Cool video! Those bikes look like a lot of fun!
most fun a guy can have with his pants on
'Lonnie, you got them tiny child hands, come here' 🤣🤣🤣
Great story RBG 🤙🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Yo love the vids keep up the good work man
Thanks for all the info. You guys are going to good job
Instead of using zip ties you can cut a few coils out of the throttle return spring so you get more throttle. I was hitting 28MPH with this. I was hitting close to 5K and lowered it though with the throttle stop screw cuz I don't have my billet rod installed yet.
Huge difference with that sprocket swap!! The ziptie trick is the first thing i do to an engine, never had a problem. The way i do it, i cut the head off of one zip tie and put it on the other zip tie. That way its somewhat adjustable( you dont have to tighten it all the way). You can do it that way without removing the tank by feeding the ziptie from the carb side.
can also play games with where the springs are located on the arms, or different weight springs, or alter the springs length. totally recommend spending the 30 bucks for a mini tach to know what you're getting with changes. edit: IMHO, better to have the governor in place working about 44-4500 RPM, with a stock mill that's a bit to the high side as a reminder "hey back off a little!".
will it mess up the engine?
@@ilovecheesecake516 some people say it can, we have never had an issue. It usually wont rev high enough just doing that to cause valve float. To really get the most out of your engine safely, you want a cam, billet rod and a lightweight flywheel atleast.
you guys are the Joe cools of motorized fun, just subscribed /all..
TY SO MUCH......HAVNT LAUGHED THAT HARD IN AT LEAST 2 MAYBE 3 DAYS...
Thank you for watching
Hey man I have a Coleman CTU 200 love it I'm going to change the sprocket love the videos Man... Happy Thanksgiving
red beard. if you use your legs as shock absorbers, putting more pressure in them than as you would sit mormal (on the red bike) it makes a big difference going over bumps and how it feels riding.
Nice to see Lonnie doing some presentation.cool vid the one with the shocks I turn it into a 3 wheeler.be neat.
Wow man I like this video I was laughing and smiling through the whole thing so much torque it looks like so much fun.
They are a blast now
Dear rb.
I have a baja warrior.
It is stock except for just neutralizing the gov.
It does 40 mph fairly easily.
Have had it for several years now and never had trouble with the valves.
Again it is stock set up .
Love the vids and thanks..
DAAAMN The sprocket is almost as big as the tire 😂🤣
Both bikes are 🔥AWESOMENESS 🔥
There's even more power and torque to be had if you change the sprockets on the crank. The only issue is that the clutches might burn up from the stress.
You all are definitely having fun out there. You really do need to gusset the frame ASAP. For safety, but I'm sure you know that.
I just got the same bike but in orange white .. I absolutely love it already
Make sure to let us know what you want to see done to these bikes. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
Did they change something on the camo bike? I just got one a week ago and it went 19mph out of the box and 26mph after I removed the throttle set screw.
Please explain size of jackshaft an y can't I find a sprocket that fits like if I want it to pull like a beast an hall ass
I am having trouble finding the 18 lb valve springs for my stock engine 200u-ex. Can you post the link
Good job with the vids keep it up
Wicked difference
Looking good man
big fan of your videos, just had a new falcon delivered to me yesterday. did your spring zip tie trick before i even took it on the first ride. as long as you dont hold it wide open, it will not blow up. i am about 6'1" 265lbs and i cant believe how well the bike hauls my girth around. looking forward to your other projects and vids. keep up the good work!
Thanks for supporting us man.
Cool video. It's always fun to get more speed. I used to ride minibikes but that was 40 years ago. Now I have electric mountain-bikes which are actually pretty cool. You can usually add an extra battery to up the voltage and get more speed. I like the kits because you can change parts like the motor controller to handle the extra voltage and current. Also, I swear by 12AH deep-cycle SLA batteries (like Powersonic, for example) because they are easy to deal with (simple charger, no balancer), fairly inexpensive and lots of power... But they are heavy, so you always have to figure out a way to mount them mid-frame. 1/2" plywood and Gorilla tape works for me. The rear hub-motor never burns out, so you can run a 36V motor at 48V or 60V, (if you are crazy enough :-). Just make sure to have good knobby tires:and V-brakes for your mountain bike. -)
But, seriously, I usually just ride my bike at 36V because it gets me to the store and back with no problems. :-)
I died at the savage part😂
And it hurt like a Motha! U guys are dope hopefully I buy a new mini bike asap
I heated my header pipe up with a lil torch and tweaked it in on a nice angle and made it go straight out right side of frame after burning my leg twice!! Wearing shorts. It’s much better this way on a mini bike.
Hi Red Beard. I tried the zip tie trick on the spring and gained 5mph. From 25 mph to 30. Would only do 20 out of the box and then backed that screw out that stops the throttle and got it to 25. My neighbor has a Honda trail 70 with a speedo and said his said 28 when I was at top speed.I'm using this SpeedTracker app. I wanna go riding with him right now but he's not home and i can't wait cause I have that performance up grade from Go Power Sports and I'm putting it on today. Thanks for the code and the 10%. I also picked up the muffler. I;m gonna test it for top speed with and without it but for just riding around my neighbor hood after work, a typical suburb 5 miles north of Detroit, and I don't need unhappy neighbors. Awesome videos, everything is explained in detail but plain and simple. Thanks....JOE
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel man
The header gave me 3mph and the air cleaner and jet and tube gave me 2 more for a top speed of 35 and tons of torque, and I weigh 292. Oh yeah, when I did the zip tie I started the motor like usual, put the choke on, pull the rope and when I turned the choke off the bike started to move thats how much more rpm's there was.Where next? I'm not sold on a torque converter, everyone saya it's much faster but most people at the Detroit mini bike races use clutches and some are hitting 60+. ruclips.net/video/oXAjZeHu79w/видео.html
How will I know when I need the stronger valve springs and do you have a video for that? Ok, watched the vid again and I need the springs but will wait for the video for that. Did it on a few cars 45+ years ago and the heads were off the car so I would like to see it done.
+RalphTheDog #1 a cvt is my favorite. There is a video on how to do the upgraded valve springs on my channel. There the same on all these engines.
Thanks....JOE
Trick with 72 is rear wheel 4-6" larger and raise axel back 4" and up three using the small grinder and mig .Use the Black Water as a rear tire .
Love your videos guys!!! I just got a slightly used Coleman ct200u ex I’m putting a predator 224 on it!!! I may look into the bigger sprocket
Damn, I just picked up myself a marketplace deal also. Ct200u ex with predator 212 stage one. Looking into a bigger sprocket myself. You ever get one? I also definitely need a new exhaust the one on there is a tiny straight pipe right under the seat. Cool at first, but ungodly loud and after a short ride the spark is gone and I just want it to be quiet 😂
The reason for the camo being a bit slower is, the cellphone has a cloaking program that takes just a smigen of electrical energy. Therefore when it goes into the cloak the human body picks up another pound or two, thus slowing the bike. Other things is the bike cloaker weighs about 23 pounds not cloaked, and when cloaked older cloaker clog the cloak filter, thus adding a few pounds. But, after my research, I can't really found a friggin reason for its slower mode, unless one of you is rather well endowed in the body parts and adds some weight. But, I did subscribe just soes I can keep up with the great things you do in your great vis. Keep up the great vids, looking forward to many more!
😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for doing the video. I just purchased the little Coleman camo bike to use around the ranch, we have a few Hills and it goes way too fast with the factory OEM sprocket...without you I would have never known!!
Glad we could help man.
A lot of useful information same bike trying to get
I like how you guys don't curse. Thanks
Loving minibike Monday y'all. Oh and you did not break the throttle arm, my ct200u-ex is the same way but my daughters ct200u's still have them, for some reason the new ones are coming with it cut down.
Thats good to know. Maybe so people cant get there pants or something caught in them or something. Thanks for watching
I much prefer clutches over torque converters on minibikes even in the woods. With the right gearing they work great much better response than a torque converter
TC's have that slip/grab action that isn't always as consistent/predictable as a clutch. TC's are cool for how they'll give grunt then grow legs too for sure.
I prefer my torque converter because I like low and top end. I have 3 mini bikes, one is geared low with a clutch and only does 25 but will get there quick as hell, the other is geared high with a clutch and does 58mph but takes a little while to get there and my torque converter bike does 49mph and gets there real quick. For slow rides the geared low bike is great, for long high speed rides my geared high bike is great but for all around riding the torque converter takes the cake. That's just my opinion as well as you have yours. No matter what, we can all agree mini bikes are fun as hell
Seeing how much you got out of the red one makes me wish I hadn't slept on the one I found. I could've had some serious fun
The sprocket link is a dead link but i think i found the universal kit that you used. Ive seen three mods watching this CT200U series that i plan on doing. The predator 212 is already replacing the 190cc stock engine.😊
Looks like great fun
Lol 🤣🤣😂 "look at that sosser "
I appreciate you guy's been tryna figure out a better way than cutn govnor out good suga hony ice tea
Zip ties... using my bag of tricks now!! haha
Those bikes are hilarious. Wish I had money for one but nobody to ride with. ☹️
You guys seem like a hoot to hang out with! Come and do the Gambler 100 here in Oregono!
Hey guys! That's slower cause it's heavier! Or the governor needs a tweak. Back in the day my friends and I would attach a small length of light string to the governor mechanism, so when we hit the top sled governor we could reach down and pull the string up to get the revs so high the valves would float! We got to the point where we knew just how far we could go. The next thing I tried was to shorten the pull rod that connected to the governor fan blade, so I did not need to use a string, it was all in the throttle! I could get about 31 mph out of that 3.5 hp Fox mini! Where it would only get to about 26 before. But of coarse by the end of July I needed another engine! So I bought a new 5 hp B&S! Horizontal shaft with a 1" crank that I was able to adapt a tq converter to! But it just made that small bike dangerous! As it only had a poor rear cable operated disk brake in the rear that clamped onto the sprocket! So in effect it had ABS! But it would run away from the Sears mini I told you about before! That had a two speed jack shaft 4 hp Tecumseh! So if the wear and tear in the engine does not matter to you, try tweaking the governor, if there still mechanical! All they were before was a fan blade in the engine cooling cover that at high speed would pivot and was attached to a rod going up to the carb, that had a mechanical device with a slot in it that would throttle the engine down! Very easy to mess with! I believe those small engines are governed to around 3,400 rpm's, but can runout to a bit over 4,000 before the valves float! But that was on the older flathead engines back then. Those engines on the bikes you have seam to be slanted and OHV, if so they could rev a bit higher! Good luck have fun and stay safe!
Thanks for this!!!! My Baja 196 is a dog on hills in the woods, I have ordered a 72 from GPS!!!! Let’s see how I do
On a 18” tire with the 72tooth sprocket
Can it hit the ground from leaning?
wish you had a 12 / 63 gear set for the camo bike, Mukuni
carb, 36 lb double valve springs and ARC rod / flywheel. And lower rear air pressure .
Okie email me or message me on facebook. I cant find your number sir.
Good gawd that sprockets like a damn saw blade
5:55 SAVAGE
is that all you ahve to do with the governer spring, just put a ziptie around it?and if so is this dangerous for the motor
I love you guys
Nice. Those sprockets are huge! Can you also change the sprockets on the clutch to get more torque or to smooth out the ridiculous torque you have now? Can't wait to see these w/o gov'nr and a torque converter.
Instead of doing that I would just mess with the sprocket on the wheel. We love the 60 tooth on these bikes.
This video makes me wish I had a friend...
Soooo..... 670cc with the 60 tooth in the camo bike, billet rods and flywheel!
GOTCHA!
If you wanna die lmfao
@@Agavegaming ok, stretch it 24 inches! LoL... less wheelie, more pull.... maybe!
Vtwin Coleman
ruclips.net/video/yx-G6OtoK_k/видео.html
was sweet I'm only running a 100 cc cheap original engine with a mikuni carb and small air filter 1 long chain from clutch to rear and it's averaging 40 to 50 kms ish I'm not running the governor but it's not fully removed yet and a stock exhaust system
Good Video
I don't think I've ever seen someone swap a bigger sprocket on the rear but this is for torque
So would you lose top end speed with the 60t sprocket instead of 50t?
Hey I use to have one if you remove the govenor screw all the way, instead of pulling the throttle on the handlebars pull the bar at the engine mine would top out at 30 stock
Just bought one. I like what you're doing. Did you think of increasing the size of the sprocket after the centrifugal clutch? It would keep your wheel sprocket smaller. Apologies if you've already done it. I'm keen to get at mine but there is 4 feet of snow here and no good place to assemble it. Cheers.
I like y’alls videos ther yep!!
I've never heard of the zip tie trick. I feel a little dumb now for spending an hour making a new linkage instead of taking 3 minutes to zip tie the spring. I may put the stock setup back on and do the zip tie trick since my custom linkage has stuck wide open on me a couple of times. I'm also going to do a 60T sprocket now instead of saving up for the torque converter. I think that will suit my needs just fine, and the clutch seems like its holding up pretty well. I don't think I'll mind going a lil slower since its borderline scary fast on the trails right now.
Yeah with that gearing ratio and the zip tie trick its all you need in the woods. Just make sure and be careful not to float the valves in high rpms, or just get 18lb valve springs.
I like your videos shout from Puerto Rico where off roading is a big thing. Can you do a video on proper maintenance of the Coleman CT200U ex? I’m new to this and got that mini bike as a Christmas present from myself to my self. Yet don’t know much about this.
It'l be fine !
I got a hold of 26lb valve springs for my 212cc off ebay
I didn't know that a circular wooden saw will work in a mini bike. 😎
His wife turned the camera away from him when he was talking lol
Cool
We’re do I get a 60 sprocket for my Coleman CT200U ex
"I was trying to say that to your wife but she just TURNED the camera"😂😂😂
What's that blue side by side? Front suspension looks cool
Great vid... very informative
What mini bike would you take with you at a drag strip for pit needs such as bathroom, tool chaser , food go getter ?
Great Videos , you guys are having to much fun . Would a 420 cc fit in those frames .
Hi, What length chain do you use on a stock front sprocket and a replacement 60 tooth
rear sprocket? Really enjoy your channel as I just got a BT200 the other day.
Thanks
I HAVE A 2016 CT 200 U AND A 2017 200 EX WHICH I BUILT THE ENGINE ,IT RUNS GREAT ,BUT WHERE CAN I BUY A LARGER REAR SPROCKET ? THANKS PAUL
Hells ya dude
Hey red beard! Is it ok to zip tie the spring for the governor without any thing else? I wanted to do a very easy cheap mod but is it ok to?
