My double H's have lasted me about 10 months of daily work and they're beat to hell, but still going strong. Only issue I've had was some of the stitching over the top of the foot come loose. Took it to a local boot repair guy and had it fixed in no time. I'll have to get them re-soled here soon, and hopefully get another year out of them. Great boots.
I work in a machine shop, on concrete, and I also do lots of ridiculous stuff outside of work. Transmission swaps, a French drain around my dad's house, etc. My double h's have lasted me 3 years of daily use. I always blow boots out in the ball of the foot, and I was concerned with the 2-piece upper, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The boot below the jeans line is quite literally black. Lots of kneeling with a bent foot, I've literally shoveled shit in them, and they are still comfortable and strong. The heel cap is FINALLY wearing off, and the anterior pinky knuckle of my foot is in danger of blowing through the leather in probably 6 or so months... for now, they are great. Love these boots.
I'm a girl and I found a double-h boot in a thrift store in the mens section and bought them it's a beautiful boot. I don't care if people talk about me wearing a man's boot they are beautiful. They were only 20 dollars and they look brand new.
Double H - USA Made (for the most part) some are made overseas. I’ve had these for over a year. Light hunting, light farm work, some property surveying, they’ve held up well. The soles maybe have a little more grip than a traditional cowboy sole. But, they’re not gonna wow you. It’s what you’d expect. Overall, I’m a big fan of the boot and would recommend.
I have double H boots, they have been my boot for 5 years, i buy the same pair every time. I have the Roper pair just not that style but with square safety toe and ice bottom. Great boot, but no matter if i am 205lbs or 285lbs they can be rough on the feet during break in. Like any boot ive worn, they could always be much more comfortable! They are light, and break in much sooner than other boots! I do industrial construction and very rarely do i have to switch out to old pair during break in. They do an amazing job with hugging your foot and keeping from slipping . Ive tried Ariat and rocky's for slip on. These double H are the best for durability and style! Just please cut down the price lol
I bought a pair last year. Very comfortable but completely came apart in a month. What made me mad is double H wouldn't do anything about it. Idk if I just got a bad boot. I did like the comfort while they lasted
My first pair of boots was double h’s they where rounded toes but they had the ice soul and same heel I’ve got to say they are more comfortable than any other shoe that I’ve worn.
If you work heavy construction or are a welder these are hands down the best boots, the only boot I have ever had that lasted longer than 2 years I'm a boilermaker by trade.
My Double H Ropers are phenominal. Im 1.5 years in and they are holding up excellent. I genuinely love wearing them, anywhere any time. So Comfortable, flexible and good looking.
I had a pair of double h's and they are the most comfortable and durable boots ever. The worst thing I did was buy a pair of Justin's to try something different. In sure I'll get another pair of these soon though since I live by the factory outlet I can go in and pick up a pair for $70
I'm looking for a new pair of Western boots. I currently have Ariat Ramblers. I was considering getting a pair of Justin's but now I'm reconsidering that and going with the Double H's. The Ramblers are my first pair of Western boots. I've always worn lace up upland bird Hunter boots.
I’m on my second pair of Double H Dylan’s (style DH1552), and they’re amazing. First pair lasted 4 years of every single day wear, and I’m well past two years on my second pair. Ice outsoles last FOREVER! Well worth the money!
Double H is the only boot I will ever buy again. DH5500 (same style as the video just with a safety toe) is what I had previously and it got a whole three years of everyday wear and tear. Other brands would blow out between 8-12 months. Very comfortable once broken in. If you are considering buying a pair, DO IT. You won’t be let down.
I have 3 pairs of double h boots. I love my boots. My only problem was sizing. It took me forever to find the right pair. I wear an 11.5. Order all of them in. 11.5. Plus my feet are narrow. The boots felt way to big. Had to return them. I had a guy tell me most western boots size down. Bought a pair in 11. After that, I fell in love with them. One thing I did do is add a slimmer soul with the one it came with for a tighter fit. They all feel amazing.
I have a pair of DH3560. I've had for 6 years and still going strong. went from a work boot to taking them to the boot shop to get cleaned up and use them as an everyday out and about boot.
I have a different kind of HH boots with the ICE soul and they’re amazing. I’ve had them for almost 3 years now and all I have to say is that they’ll forever be my favorite boot brand.🇺🇸
Wow! Great video. Not just a guy giving a review at a table. You put them on. Moved around in them. Showed fitment and flexibility. And showe led both colors. Very accurate description. I’ve owned a few pair of double H boots. Loggers in the past. I just picked up a pair of the Ropers at my local Rural King based on amazing comfort, fit, made in America and my others were great too. Not a bad price when compared to Justin’s and Ariats while a little cheaper, are made poorly and overseas. I’ll pay extra for the American.
Work In heavy duty diesel and boots have lasted me 3 years so far . I climb cranes and generators all day and they’ve lasted and broken in well . I switch between these and thorogoods but the double h just look soo good
Feeling good about my double H boots that I purchased two weeks ago looks good I like the added design on the stirrup guard over your foot it really makes the shoe look expensive and a lot of quality I’m 250 pounds and there are fitting me very well probably will get another pair as well for a dress
I manage a department for USA manufacturing of DH Boots. Here is a wow that not many people know.. A single DH boot from start to finish might have 70 to 100 employees touching the boot until it gets boxed . It goes through six Quality Control departments.
I can attest to the durability of the ICE sole Im 6'4" 350 lbs and with other work boots my heel would get worn down quick ive had my Double H 6 months now and i use them 7 days a week 12 hours a day for work, Im a waste water treatment operator and we do alot of walking and that heel has almost NO wear on it so yea its a durable boot clean them every week with a wet rag and coat them in mink oil too.
Get double h they crush ariat and Justin I've had a pair for 7 years !!! Still waterproof they just won't die and I've been tough on them I will never buy another brand again
You can’t pull out the insoles on the new ones they are making. I bought my first double h roper 4 years ago, and I did pull out the insoles on them, and they were the most comfortable boots I owned. I went and bought the pair last week, and now the finish inside is way different, I couldn’t pull the insoles because the finish and structure is different, even the insoles are thicker now. I even had to go a half a size down and had to go with a D, not EE. Still love the boots!!!
Just found this video. I have a pair of their mcdorman boots that are absolutely beautiful and extremely comfortable. I have had them now for about a year and they have broken in perfectly. I did get 1/2 size larger than I normally wear which seemed to be perfect. I just ordered a pair of the ropers last night so I'm very excited to get that. Do you find that they run big or small for you?
Not so impressed with my DH1552's After 13 months, both heel cups shattered. (plastic material) & the fabric, NOT LEATHER had worn through in heel area exposing the broken heel cup, & liner glue, released causing an inconvenience to put on. I called customer service to volunteer to send boots back for quality inspection & was turned away due to the warranty time was expired. I work in an office. I go up & down stairs. I don't understand how these broke down the way they did. It sucks that HH boots Red tape prevents a concerned consumer to send a failed product back to the manufacture for inspection so they may consider a manufacturing revision improve their product.
@@billlee794 i have bought 6 different ones in the last ten years and they were all consistently the same. Dwight was last pair and Marty before that….. Dwights i got 5 months ago and are just now breaking in after daily use.
you may find that a full sz less or as much as a size and a half less will be required ….key is with double h is to define what sz you require and going forward you will know because once i found my correct size i have found double h is laser accurate from boot style to boot style with sizing..
DH1592 I've had a pair of these for 11 years, worn every day from April-November. They have been resoled once and the heel pads were replaced every fall. These boots have had total maintenance costs close to the cost of the original price paid ($125 USD). The leather uppers won't wear out, so I just keep them polished and repaired. The polish cleans up any scuffing. How long will they last?
I’m looking to buy a pair of these, are they steel toe? I’m not always required to wear steel toe but it makes it easier to have than have not, thanks.
After 5 foot surgeries on my left foot, I need a really wide fit. No Double H retailer anywhere near me. I wear a 10 1/2 EE Justin wide toe and they fit great. Any idea on what size Double H wide toe I might need? Internet purchase is my only option.
