I’ve had 5 or 6 pairs of these boots. By far the best pair of boots I’ve ever owned for work. I’ve tried many boots over the years from Justin, Georgia, redwing and many others but I’ve never had a pair last much more then 6 months until I started wearing these double h boots in the video. Now I normally get around 2 years out of them with getting the heel replaced once. I wear boots everyday of my life. I don’t have a pair shoes. If I’m not at church or out on a date with my wife, then my work boots are on my feet. Absolutely love these boots!!
Only other pair of boots I've had that were both comfortable and last quite a few years are the steel toe Dr. Martens I have to get for the factory job I had..but they costed more than the oak double h gel ice work boots even with the steel toe, but I have not owned the double h or Justin ranch hand or the cow work western boots with a steel toe
Interesting. I have 3 pairs of boots right now, but I've never tried HH. I don't know how anything more comfortable than my black Ariat work boots. I didn't think I'd like a square toe but it's soo comfortable. I've got 2 years in these Ariats and they're still going strong. Oddly enough I don't own a pair of brown boots though so I'm very intrigued
I have a pair of these, an amazing boot. Made it through a summer of ranch work in Colorado and not on a dude ranch, REAL work. awesome for riding and a super durable work boot.
Great vid, I have a pair and they took a minute to break in, but they are one of the best fitting boots I own, highly recommended for work or just kicking around in.
I actually just picked up a pair of Double H work cowboy boots about an hour ago I know I said I didn't have any more money for boots but I found a pair of used boots that were only wore a couple time buy a nice gentleman in Tri-Cities Washington for the price of $50 heck of a price couldn't pass them up I love them already since I own a pair of Packer Double H I am very impressed with these boots
My first pair of Double H Dylans came in today. The width and length feel true to size but feels a little loose up in the vamp. Foot sits right in place. A little loose in the vamp but not too much. I’ve been an Ariat guy for the past 10 years but these boots might be a game changer. Love Jeremiah’s videos always gives great input on boots. Wouldn’t have bought these if I didn’t watch his video.
The HH boots are the real deal. Made to work and beautiful enough for play. I have 3 pairs and I’m about to get a 4th. I’ve been wearing them for farm work for the past 10 years. Made in the U.S.A. Models!
Love my Double H boots. Got a pair of Jase a few months back, with the same folklore leather. Breaking in a pair of Harshaws right now. Treat all my boots with Obenaufs leather oil or lp paste. Break in easy.
I love my double h boots I got the Alvarado boots about three years ago and I had them resoled around 2 years ago because I wear them every day and by the end of the year I’ll have them resoled again and hopefully they last as long as i do
I really like the looks of that boot as a work boot. Unfortunately the plastic counter is a deal breaker. Otherwise this would be a pretty good “winter” boot with that outsole.
I watched both reviews you had of these boots, I love that this actually looks more like a cowboy boot. I'm new to cowboy boots to begin with but realized I needed a winter pair living in the Northeast. These arrived last night. "Tanks" that can replace my traditional lace ups. I've read lot's of comments in other areas about breaking these in and how tough it is and that they stretch more during break in than other boots (I wonder if this is because of machine lasting?). Mine are 10 EE and are snug at instep and TIGHT on the width. Knowing they will break in with effort and time I feel like these will be incredibly comfortable, sturdy, good looking boots. Great info on this boot I bought mine based off of the original review in store.
I used to have a pair of Double H, unfortunately they didn't quite fit me but they felt well made and the sole seemed really tough. I would happily try another pair from them if It have the opportunity.
I have a pair of the Dylans in steel toe they fit great other than the instep is still a tight after two months of constant wearing other than that can’t complain one bit about them
"Hi Jeremiah, I like the tan boots in brown colors and especially if the toe is round, it's already better prettier for the toes on the top of the foot! Do we find the same comfort with Leather boots with ankle straps? Another question, I usually wear fine quality socks in my cowboy boots but for the problem of blisters, should I also wear thicker socks or it is not useful ? Please tell me ... Super explanatory video on this model of boots, well done again! "
I have 12EE boots in Tecovas, Ariat, and Thorogood. Tecovas fit like a glove. Ariats and Thorogood I added an Extra Dr Scholls insert to get them to fit perfectly because they were a little big. Never had Double H boots, thinking about getting them in 11.5 EE, but I’m not sure? 🤔
I just bought some Double H, made in America. Bad ass boot and well built. My I messed up, I didn’t realize the heel was a lot bigger than my Dan Post, the the arch is killing my flat feet. Craig. You think that can be fixed? Thank you.
I’ve had 3 pairs of these the only complaint I have is the 2 pull on tabs with the flags on them rubbed the inside of my leg to the point of bleeding a great cheap fix for this is to get a piece of gorilla tape and put over tab horizontally
As someone who's been wearing western boots for about 30 years, I would just recommend a good tall tube socks. Gold toe make some nice socks that are tall enough for pretty much any standard cowboy boot.
I have a current oak pair of the double h gel ice work boots I've worn the leather down quite soft the boots are almost 8 years old and I have two small holes one is like a very small slit and I am not easy on boots but I can't complain but rather than trying to get a patch of some sort because the soles are fine I will just buy a new pair of the oak boots I believe the darker brown one's like I have are actually the Dylan but I have had both the oak and the Dylan plus the black trucker tredz.
I think people who have several pair of workboots(irrespective of style)and rotate them as well as practice good foot hygiene really won't have a particularly severe problem of wearing through a cloth insole. If footwear is rotated on a regular basis and/or dedicated for certain kinds of labor-they may never wear through or so insignificantly that a replacement insole will more than remedy the problem. This is my long winded way of saying I like these boots and they would suit me just fine. ;-)
Great review Jeremiah I'm interested in purchasing some for everyday outdoor workwear in lawn care what size would you reccomend me purchasing if I'm normally a 9 1/2 D in the Dan Post Milwaukee Mignon . Do these boots run small , large or true to size in D thanks ?
Those boots dont break in, the owner does. I have several boots ranging from custom made cowboy boots, ropers, Thorogood slip-ons and a set of these Double H ropers with the ICE sole. I love all my boots, except these Double H boots. The leather is super thick which is fine, that will eventually break in with a season of sweat and some treatments but that sole will never break in. I ended up taking these boots to a local cobbler and had him replace the soles with Thorogood 90 degree heel soles in black with cork. Basically I turned them into another pair similar to my Thorogood slip-ons but the leather on the Double H are really too heavy. Well made, but costly, these boots are too rough to enjoy. 3 years I wore them and 3 years I suffered.
And I have had a few pairs of both the comparable Justin ranch hand and the cow work western style boot both USA made and the china version sold through rural king and I'll stick with the double h gel ice work boots and I think I prefer the oak
I love leather boots, purses, wallets, etc. What do you recommend to treat them with. I use mink oil or...Bag Balm, lol. I just purchased a pair that are well broken in, made in the U.S.A., vintage. Help, I don't know how fast you'll respond. I wear a size 12ee in ariat work hogs, I want to switch to double unless someone else can recommend something more comfortable, I work standing on concrete most of the day and my knees are killing me
Horrible boots. I got a double E size 11 for my feet. And I always struggle to get them on and off. Also when I wear them with the original soles and they squeeze my toes causing blisters and calluses.
Double h boots are garbage. I'm on NY second pair and I swear if you work hard pushing cattle they won't last 3 months. The sole comes unglued and it causes you to trip. The glued on tread just comes off in a couple weeks. Fun garbage product.

Your welcome, Happy the boots fit 👍🏻 and enjoying the video.
Totally! Thanks so much!

Grabbing some new boots soon! Can't wait to show them off
I own two pair of Double H Boots love the fit and feel of their boots.
My husband is on his sixth pair of double H’s he works long hard days in the Arizona heat! He loves these for work boots
Love to hear it! Double H makes a tough boot!
That is so nice of them to give you these! Im glad dor this review since your quick impression.
I love my Double H Jases. Proud to support a Pennsylvania based company. Ice soles are durable AF. Though they are definitely heavy.
I can’t do heavy boots I got some durangos and they’re super light
looks like a lot of consideration went into making this boot its very practical
I agree! Pretty impressive that it's still US made with all that too
I personally own this boot it is my favorite boot that I own
Love that thick heel cap that’s always the first thing I wear out on my boots!!
Right?! Me too. It's so cool they've made theirs 2 to 3 times as thick
A great video Jeremiah Craig.
Thanks Thomas!
Great vid, I have a pair and they took a minute to break in, but they are one of the best fitting boots I own, highly recommended for work or just kicking around in.
I've owned a pair of these boots for ten years or so unfortunately I've have outgrown them over the years but I have enjoyed them the whole time
I actually just picked up a pair of Double H work cowboy boots about an hour ago I know I said I didn't have any more money for boots but I found a pair of used boots that were only wore a couple time buy a nice gentleman in Tri-Cities Washington for the price of $50 heck of a price couldn't pass them up I love them already since I own a pair of Packer Double H I am very impressed with these boots
Great find and what a deal! Congrats man. I wouldn't be able to pass that up either
Nice video! Very well put together and so fun!🔥

Nice western work boot for the cold North of upstate NY & snowy Mass. 👍
Wow those boots look familiar 😉 enjoying the video.
You're the best! Thanks so much to you and Ben!

Another awesome video. Nice job Jeremiah.

It's worth another try for sure. They might work really well if you find the right size
Really like these. Being in Ohio these would be great for the upcoming season.
Without a doubt. I plan on using these a lot this winter too
I have a pair of the Dylans in steel toe they fit great other than the instep is still a tight after two months of constant wearing other than that can’t complain one bit about them
Double h boots are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned
Very nice looking boot
Good for those Canadian Winters too!
This the only boot I’ve wore for last decade almost now I use to wear redwings but these are as good
I have the double h 3560 boot I got from Davis trailer World in aB it does have a leather stacked heel square toe
Nice! Some of the Double H boots do have leather stacked heels. That Jase boot is nice
Great video!
Thanks Lukas!

I had this same problem, hoping after I cut the american flag out they feel better

I like the wider round toe they just fit better.
Yeah and there's no real reason to have anymore pointed round toe for work. Thanks for watching Jason!

That's another great video you have done can you do a video on ferrini boots if you already haven't
The 45-70 is use more then ever these days.

How long would you say it takes to get used to a leather outsole also good job on the video I enjoyed it
I remember my first leather sole and it was a little different but I wore them every day for a month and got used to them real quick
Got it thanks!
And I have had a few pairs of both the comparable Justin ranch hand and the cow work western style boot both USA made and the china version sold through rural king and I'll stick with the double h gel ice work boots and I think I prefer the oak

Not bad. Might look into it in future, but first the bnv Jeremiah Craig boots WHOO!! How would they hold up in the snow??
Haha you might want sole savers with some extra grip if you wanna wear those BNVs out in the snow!
Dou you order the Double H western boot in your normal shoe size, one size up, or one size down.
Half size down for me. Usually I'm a 12B had to go with 11.5B for the Double H Dylan
What kind of leather is the shaft? He didn't mention.
What pants are those
How about the heel, is it replaceable?? I wear out the outsides of my heels, and always have to get new boots since most boots have a 1 piece bottom.
Help, I don't know how fast you'll respond. I wear a size 12ee in ariat work hogs, I want to switch to double unless someone else can recommend something more comfortable, I work standing on concrete most of the day and my knees are killing me
I guess my question is what size would I need in the dylans
Do you know where I can find a boot store near Danbury CT
What kind of jeans are you wearing with these ?
Wrangler 13mwz
They look pretty good but not a fan of the way that really thick soles look definitely a work boot though
Very much a work boot for sure!
U-toe. Of course you know that now. 🤠
Horrible boots. I got a double E size 11 for my feet. And I always struggle to get them on and off. Also when I wear them with the original soles and they squeeze my toes causing blisters and calluses.
Tough on the outside soft on the inside. Sing that 3 times and ya got a rap song big dog. Lol
Double h boots are garbage. I'm on NY second pair and I swear if you work hard pushing cattle they won't last 3 months. The sole comes unglued and it causes you to trip. The glued on tread just comes off in a couple weeks. Fun garbage product.
