About Jeremiah Craig
I love telling stories with my music and folk ballads are my passion. This is why I call myself a Balladeer. I’ve included many story elements in my songs since the beginning of my songwriting career in the Rochester, NY area. Then I continued my journey in Phoenix, Seattle, and currently in Boston. In 2004 I made my musical debut with the band Bluegrass Tuesday. In 2006 I formed an original rock/jazz jam band, Jack Swift, who in 2009, went on the “You Don’t Know Jack Tour Spectacular” across five states. I started my solo career in 2011 with my first full-length album, Gardener Hands. After watching this I bought me a pair of the steel toe version (1592) came this mornin and I wore them to work. I'm a mechanic and I'm on concrete all day on my feet and knees. I do everything from detailing to wiring to the dirty greasy stuff, so I needed something strong., long lasting and comfortable. After one day of wear I love them so far. I've been looking for a work boot that kept the traditional cowboy look and had the slanted heel and was NOT square toe, these were the perfect combo I've been looking for. Thanks Jeremiah! I've had the steel toe Double H boots for a few years and love them. They're extremely comfortable, fit well, look great, and very durable. I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. They're awesome boots!
You should have mentioned they make this same boot with a steel toe as well! Double H’s will always be a favorite of mine! My hubby too, he wears them EVERY single day for work!

I wear them in the safety toe and have had a pair for about 5 years. The ICE sole is long wearing, I repalced the insole with a more specialty hard insole for plantar fasciitis.
I’ve had the same pair for about seven years now and they’re still going. I’ve worn cowboy boots my whole life and never had a pair this durable. Thanks for the video on them wasn’t sure if they still sold them.

I just got my second pair in a different color way. The first field lasted six years. There stirrup friendly and super comfortable. One of the best boots on the market for sure.

I’m so pumped you finally got to try a Double H boot, I can attest to the quality of Double H boots, not from personal experience but the company I work for is out of PA near where the Double H boots are made and most of the guys I work with wear them and rave about them, how they are comfortable and last forever especially those ice soles, they are damn near bullet proof, awesome boots can’t wait till I can get a pair myself!!

I've had a pair of these for about a year now. They're my everyday, go-to boot. They fit fantastically, the break-in period was a breeze. I use them in the office, in the field, at church, at the mall...they're absolutely fantastic. The Ice sole ridiculously tough with really good grip. The only time I don't wear these for work is if it's very cold, or if the terrain is too uneven and I need better ankle support. Make a pair of these a part of your life. You will not regret it.

Just boughtt the 3560 square toe work boot and they are by far the most comfortable cowboy boot I have ever worn no break in necessary! crazy

1: There good for outdoors
2: they have a good grip on slippery
3: I can wear them while hunting and in snow

I’m late to this party but I am a huge fan of Double Hs. They’re easily beats Ariat and Justin’s for the best boot for the money. As a Pennsylvanian, I love that their USA made boots are made in Martinsburg, PA.

Funny you mention Beth West in Wa state. I live 15 mins from there and am getting a new pair of work cowboy boots tomorrow after work.
Bought these in steel toe last week at boot barn after trying on a thousand pair, I was cautious since I had never heard of double h but they were the only steel toe western style boot that they had in my size in the color I liked, ran me around $300 so considering the price tag I hope they hold up well but so far I really like them a lot.
I have worn H&H boots for 30 years. They once made insulated boot and they were my favorite boot. I live in Michigan and the snow is deep this time of year and those insulated boots kept my feet warm all day. Will they ever make insulated boots again?
I was really excited to own a pair of Double H for their unique styles (I got the Rogan steel toe last week). I've owned Justin, Ariat, and Georgia Boots, and work as a carpenter. Gotta say, I was bummed out by the initial feel. The leather is stretched around the steel toe which makes a strange bubble effect. The rubber outsole had cut-off marks and leftovers, and the shaft feels thin, dry and cheap. They fit well, but i can't say they're comfortable. I'm used to modern western boots that don't require any breaking-in and feel comfy from the get-go. Hoping that's all it is, because I really want to like Double H. Hoping the poor-feeling construction is a product of more traditional, long-lasting bookmaking techniques, I just don't know enough about boots

Great review! I had a pair of those very same boots, wore them at work and they lasted 7 years with a heel cap replacement!!! Fantastic value, got mine at Boot City in Terre Haute, In.

Also look at DH-2282 "Jacob". I have both Dylan & Jacob but prefer the look of the Jacob.

The #1552 has been my go-to everyday boot for years on end. I get about 12-15 months out of a pair. But, I'm okay with that. Great fit, and they work hard.
Too bad. I would've hoped they'd last longer than that. What type of work?
@@JeremiahCraig Trucking/office work. Plus working on my land. I could probably replace the heel pad and keep going. But, by then, most times the vamp is fairly beat up. That's the one downside to the 1552, that folklore leather marks easily. Still love them, and notices they came out with a cleaner leather version of this boot, DH4646.

I have a pair from 2013 I always brand in the inside of the boot what year I bought them, I use them for my riding boots. They were like steel. However there are ice skates on ice. I’ve never had boots so slippery in my life.

Great boots I have the steel toe square toe ropers I bought them Xmas eve last year . Went Back two weeks later and bought another pair for when these wear out so if they discontinued I have a pair . I will be buying another pair this Xmas I love them so much with two in reserve I’m set till I retire I think . Before these I would go through a pair every 6-9 months of Ariat or Justin’s . Ima grading contractor always in dirt mud gravel sand Dg etc and steel . Love H&H

Double h are amazing, especially for the work I do. Im on my feet for 13 to 14 hours a day and get in 30k steps a day or more. They have steel toes and are crazy tough. Lol I wore through insole but just replaced it.

I honestly love my Double H boots the best. For comfort, fit, and toughness, with a steel toe. They had a 3E which is best for me. And I will only buy USA made boots!

@@JeremiahCraig Hey I’m looking for another pair of steel round toe similar to the Double H 2282, size 11 3E wide. The only issue I have with my 2282’s is the composite/ rubber heel wore off pretty fast. And I actually prefer less of a heel- maybe 1” instead of 1.5. Other than that u can’t tear up that boot! Leather is as tough as nails. Or is there some one you would recommend that could re sole them with a good leather sole? Thanks for reading comments. That means everything!

Thay are great boots.. 11 1/2B mean the length=286. 92 mm and width=106.5 mm as per US men foot chart
I think so too! I'd take that measurement with a grain of salt though. Lots of brands differ a few mm
Great videos Jeremiah. Double H are great quality boos. They've been changing too much lately, no more wedge sole on 2522, no more distressed brown harness. Was actually thinking about driving up to Davis trailer this week, looking for Boulet brown harness.
Cool! If you call ahead they might be able to tell you if they have it as well. I like their selection of Boulets
Own a pair in the steel toe for work. Had to replace them after a few months. They held up great but they were incredibly uncomfortable to work in all day. Switched to Ariats and wont even consider a Double H again

I'm with you on the sizing brother! I wear a 10b, it's as close as I can get to a perfect fit because my foot measures 12 AAAA (yes, that's four A's.).
There just needs to be more sizes out there!

Can u bend/fold these boots? I’m not referring to the soles of the boots (obviously you shouldn’t try to bend them) but I am referring to the upper thin leather part of the boots. The reason I’m asking is because I want to ship them to someone. I want to bend them in half so that I can use a smaller box (The smaller the box, the less money you have to charge for shipping) but I’m afraid that might damage the leather on the boots. I hope this question makes sense.
Yep! Makes sense! If you are sending them to someone you know to be a beat around boot then sure fold them but if you sold them and sending to a customer definitely do not fold them. It's kind of offensive to open a box of folded boots as a buyer

I had a pair of double H boots that basically self destructed in around 4 months. The sole started to fall off, half the threads fell out. And this happened to every pair I bought. I do recommend them if you plan to wear them every now and then but for everyday use I wouldn’t recommend them.

I just purchased the double H ice work boot they say made in china on the inside ? .... and they are completely Garbage not waterproof at all and the inside is pulling out ? They have almost fallen apart in two weeks of hard work what should I do ?!!!? Im a driller Oilfield worker and these are Garbage!!! and I will be spreading the word !!!! or either my bootstore is selling bootleg fake boots central pennsylvania ..... for 200 bucks I'm upset especially when it comes to a boot allowance at work
China owns much of the waterproof technology. Any western boot that boasts it's waterproof is most likely made in China except for a few brands. Double H waterproof boots are definitely made in China but most of their other boots are made in the US. They are very different as you can imagine

Whenever humans are all gone and someone finds this planet billions of years later, those soles are going to be artifacts laying around. Not sure it’s possible to even slightly wear that sole down a little. That is not a good concrete boot but it’s good for everything else

sorry not to be rude here but double h boots are not a supremely long lasting sole .i have a pair and the whole sole needs to be replaced it's starting to come apart in the middle and the heel .yes double h boots are the best but not the sole sorry

These aren't cowboy boots. They're work boots. Double H titles them "work western". It's a workbook bottom with a cowboy style top.
