    Alright, here's the deal... There has been an overwhelming amount of views on this video. I'm a guy in his garage, and I cannot express how much I appreciate every last one of you who have viewed, and commented on this video. Who would be willing to donate to a patreon for me to review more boots? More of the boots you want to see? In an honest 100% real dude fashion? Same format as this video.

    I'm a female and I found some double-h boots at a thrift store they look brand new and I love them. They are a mens boot but I don't care what people think or say. They are a size 10 and I wear a 9 in boots I bought insoles for inside the boots 😁 I bought them for 20 dollars and I searched the brand of the boot and they are worth 500 dollars. Boot is awesome.

    I prefer the double h gel ice work boot mine are the oak, but I have owned the foam gel type center heel and sole but they wear a lil much for me and I am not easy on boots at all and they will be exposed to almost everything I wear 10.5 ee and I have had a few pairs of Justin ranch hand and cow western style work boots some were from rural king and those were primarily made in China and in my opinion they are junk I'll stick with double h gel ice work boot and I have had my current pair almost 8 years and will be used hauling scrap metal and working on cars and trucks not professionally but farm kid work, splitting, stacking, hauling and carrying in firewood for the woodstove we heat with, and how your foot and ankle fit in the shaft of the upper boot and the last or stretch sole fits your foot a certain way so that is why you have to look and usually try several pairs and usually several different sizes because of brands of boots to find the ones that fit and feel right even with Bent or flexed like when you walk or bend..so yeah the saddle shop sales associate and the shoe store associate were quite helpful and the saddle shop guy definitely knows his stuff,it took me about 5-6 years to learn most of that and I have worn cowboy boots almost all my life..

    Good review, thank you. I’m planning to order a pair of Double H boots and want to get the size right the first try to avoid return shipping costs. Do they fit true to size with what you’ve worn in similar work boots like Red Wings or similar brands?

    • @hbj0123
      @hbj0123  5 лет назад +2

      I don't own any Red Wings, but in my personal experience these run a little large. I wear a 10.5 running shoe, and these are a size 9. We went through four sizes before getting the correct fit. My STRONG advice is to try a pair on before purchasing. I know that isn't always possible, but through my research and experience, these are kind of a "custom fit" style boot.

      I would advise to go to a boot store or a saddle shop and find something similar to what you are planning to order online and try the size you need and go from there but that is because I can tell you I have had brahma from Walmart, Ariat those were well worn, double h, Justin and a nice used pair of Dan post and the Justin and the Brahma were the same size but felt different, and then I bought two other Justin boots and they didn't fit right and that was the same size, but the double h have all been the same size and fit right and the Dan post was hit and miss the Ariat as long as the USA made boot is the same size as what I wear in the double h gel ice work boot mine is the oak but that's is why I would suggest trying the same brand on first before ordering them online in the same thing or very similar style boot first hopefully that suggestion helps you..

    Nice boots! But what brand / type of socks are you wearing? Are they work socks, hiking socks, . . . ? I ask because while I prefer Dan Post Cowboy Certified western boot socks with my pull-on Red Wings, I sometimes wear athletic socks, hiking socks, etc. (made by Wigwam, Fox River, or Smartwool) in a pinch and was wondering what other types / brands I ought to consider. What is the difference between the ICE boots and these ones? Are the ice versions just more tough and can last through hard work?

    • @hbj0123
      @hbj0123  3 года назад

      In my experience, while I was looking for a new pair of Double H boots, I found the ICE version to be significantly more narrow. As far as how long they last? I'm sure they last longer. The sole is made up of much better material, and the overall construction seems to be higher quality. However, I couldn't find a pair that fit my feet well enough. Much less, a pair that fit my need. Hope that helps. Thanks for the question.

      Go try a few different sizes on. They should be a tight fit. Almost painful. The leather and insole will mold to your foot. Walk around in the boots in the store. Your heel should "slip" just a little bit, like a little less than a quarter of an inch.
