I've had a pair of gen 2 marins since February. They're the most comfortable boots I ever wore in 20 years of doing construction. So far they're holding up fine and they've been through anything and everything as far as types of surface and temperatures. I also have the gen 1 solid black marins from last year's black friday edition. I only wear them casually so they're obviously still in superb shape.
@WeSkatePN it seems that way same with the work boot sub reddit anytime someone posts a pair on there everyone loses their shit. I dunno so far they're working for me

I’m sure they will figure it out because they are blazing a new path and it’s going to have some bumps. Jim greens are the first non made in the USA boot I’ve purchased in 15 years.
Great comparisons! I have 3 pairs of Jim Greens and would rather buy Origins than Brunts. Hard to recover from all that heavy IG marketing Brunts put out for the garbage they were selling when they started
This boot: outsole, midsole, insoles, welt , thread, waterproof lining, laces, eyelets, speed hooks, globally sourced. Upper leather, labor to build the boots USA made. The uppers are stitched together elsewhere in the USA, then they are stitching the welt to the upper in house, and gluing on the outsole. It’s as minimally produced in the USA as is allowed according to the department of labor, to be able to stitch an American flag on the boots and claim made in USA.
Thank you for doing the anvil.. I requested this so much ,and for making this video I'll subscribe.I actually ordered them over black Friday and got them for 200 so we will see
@sleeksilver they are super comfy the leather is quite nice... When I say comfy I mean it good support all around.. the leather is thicker the Irish setter Ashby is. The quality and comfort is superior to the 2nd gen marin... It's a entirely different boot . They will serve me well... P s I do hvac
I believe Thorogood clicks and lasts their boots here in the USA, but would not be surprised if brunt is really trying to get away with a lot. There are regulations regarding wording and qualified vs unqualified statements. My dad just bought a pair of direct moulded Thorogoods last month that are MADE IN THE USA WITH AMERICAN MATERIALS. That means Thorogood clicks and lasts boots here. Brunts may not get much attention and is trying to get away with more because of it, it's clear that most of the components are the same as their imports.
My biggest mistake stepping into rhe moc toe world was making brunt ny first purchase. 1st pair lasted 3 months and was replaced free of charge. The replacment pair is now stricly a casual wear for me. I purchased wingshooter st for work and i love them. I am 4 months in and they are holding up great. Brunts are very common at my job, we do asphalt construction and it's tough on boots especially the heat. The soles on brunts seem to hold up to the heat. But the soles kinda like to delaminate after being exposed to the elements and release agents we put on our boots to clean them (diesel).
