Limp Bizkit were never great and when I found out who directed this film, I knew it was going to be garbage. Poor John Travolta. He was a good man. Let his career rest in peace.
The only thing I know Limp Bizkit for is doing The Undertaker's Rollin theme for his biker character.

Limp Bizkit was just another disposable 90s nu metal group to me. Not bad but not amazing either - I like some of their songs but not to the point that I consider them classics. While I enjoy Wes Borland's riffs and Sam Rivers' basslines, I have always considered Fred Durst to be the weak link of the band.
Well Limp the only film that John Travolta did that's really good and still is it's Pulp Fiction.

You capsulized this perfectly. I had the giggles. John definitely did it to help Durst and possibly to try something new. Durst was probably just happy to have Travolta and just said roll with the improvises. Is it weird that I thought when Sawa let him go and how he got arrested for the murder was believable? 🤣 But yes, that was the disappointment in the end, like you were left with a feeling of WTF just happened? As someone posted on this before, I think it is gonna be one of those movies so bad it just turns good. I may have to give it another watch for funsies.
This movie was already made with De Niro and Snipes. It was called "The Fan".

I always appreciate a movie that's just so unfathomably bad that it becomes amazing. We really needed a modern The Room and The Fanatic delivered. This movie was pure magic.
Definitely the last good movie Travolta did was The Taking of Pelham 123 back in 2009. We need a Travoltassaince!

The Fanatic is the worst movie that John Travolta has ever done in his entire career. I'm not being hyperbolic. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm not exaggerating. It's worse than Staying Alive, worse than Gotti, worse than Perfect, worse than Moment by Moment. It's even worse than Battlefield Earth. Yeah, I'm going there.
This is why I love a Cody review, no hold backs just say it as it is. I came out of "it" chapter 2 the other night and thought wow that was sh*t but go online and watch like a 100 reviews saying it was cool, I'm like really??? Then there is faith when cody puts out a proper fan related review then the world is good again haha. Now we have the fanatic haha happy days

Poppycock is probably the best phrase to describe this film, only scene made me laugh was Moose dressed up as Jason Voorhees.
WTF was Travolta thinking, the shit his character does in this film he'd been locked up, breaking into a movies star's house besides accidentally killing the women in the park.
My God this was awful absolutely awful & yet I couldn't stop laughing at how bad it is, it makes Samuari Cop look like The Godfather.
Devon played the villain in Stallones recent below par Escape Plan 3 & starring in this he needs a new agent FFS, the ending was abrupt & talk about self promotion as Durst includes Limp Bizket in his fucking movie.

Travolta has only really worked with 2 credible directors that got good performances out of him de Palma 'carrie' &'blow out' & QT with 'pulp fiction' , so he can do it it's kind of hard not to blame his choices or Hollywood for not knowing what to do with him

Agree on all counts. It’s definitely got a future on bad movie nights with friends and lots of alcohol. I’m not sure what the drinking game is yet, but I’d probably be afraid to play it anyway for fear of waking up in the hospital.

Exactly. If someone got tied up and tormented by a loony and managed to get free, cut his fingers off, stabbed his eye out and threw him down some stairs they'd finish the job and kill him. They wouldn't let him out after all that as if he was a friendly neighbour. Which allowed Moose to frame Sawa's character for murder.
