The time has come. Cell phone usage in movie theaters has always (and probably will always) be a major annoyance for movie fans. As time goes on, and as technology addiction grows, the problem seems to get worse. Here are some very blunt, straight-to-the-point, and anger-fueled words to vent on the issue as well as hopefully open the eyes of those that continuously botch the movie-going experience.

But poor O Susan is going to be enraged by swear because "tHiNk oF ThE cHiLdRen!!!! REEEEE!" then they're going to demand the owner and reprimand him for showing such vulgarity to little Timmy and little Julie. And besides, why should she listen to some Millenial about what not to do. She's a single mom, she has two kids, she has a right to do whatever she wants or she's nEvEr cOmInG bAcK!
      (Hope my joke went through)
But if that were to happen though, then the movie would be ten times better before it played. 😆

The first time I saw the new IT movie, there was a group of about 3 or 4 girls sitting behind me, my brother, and one of my friends. They were already yapping and texting extremely loud before the movie even started. Now I wasn’t super bothered by this as it was only the pre show/previews. I thought “Well its an ear bleeding level of annoying right now, but they’ll stop when the actual movie starts for sure!” ...
... And then the movie started, and for the first half, THEY WOULD NOT. STOP. TALKING. It was even toned down from earlier. And to top it off, they thought it was ok to pull out their phones(at 100% brightness might I add) and take pictures on Snapchat, WITH THE FLASH ON! FUCKING SERIOUSLY?! It was so bad that by the time they ruined the projector scene for me, I had to get the manager who PROMPTLY told them to stop talking. And you know what else is ridiculous? My brother told me that he overheard one of the girls outside the theatre saying “Oh my god, that’s like, the fourth time that’s happened to me!”, like they’d eventually take the fucking hint!
I know this video was mainly aimed at people who use their phones, but it goes without saying regardless: If you do your absolute best to ruin the movie cinematic experience for people in the theatre, be it through phones, talking, kicking seats etc. then FUCK. YOU!

I can relate to this so well. I hate sitting close to the front, but now I’ve kinda just accepted the fact that I pretty much have to now to avoid this. I’m a timid person, and No matter how polite I am, I deal with people yelling and making a scene if I very nicely tell them that their phone is right in my eye. It’s so frustrating to put up with paying so much for concessions and tickets to have idiots ruin it or to make excuses like they can do what they want because they paid for a ticket or try to make some lame excuse like racism about it. Rudeness and courtesy are basic human actions across the board that transcend race/religion/age, and deep down everyone knows the difference. Why pay $15 for a ticket just to screw up everyone’s night? You could’ve stayed home, ordered pizzas, and scrolled through your timelines to your heart’s content without ruining everyone else’s night. Yes, even opening your phone a few seconds is VERY unnerving and distracting. The world will still be there and be just fine two hours later. Keep your phones off, please and thank you.

As far as I'm concerned, I have never had to endure any of the horror stories that you discussed. However, what's probably as annoying as cell-phone usage is people talking during the film.
I've had to endure this quite a bit recently, especially when I saw Infinity War last night with my dad, who had yet to see it. I happened to be sitting next to someone who spent most of the picture talking to the person next to him, and making a bunch of sounds with his mouth, which was quite distracting. My advice to those who do it is this: Be quiet, be patient, and wait till the film's over, then talk with your buds.

I agree, this is so annoying. I usually just go to Alamo Drafthouse because they're really strict about this, although their seats aren't the most comfortable. And yes, ppl are way too addicted to social media apps. Lmao @ Brenda!

Thank you for making this video👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼This is something that has always pissed me off. I have had 3 encounters where I had gone to the theater and there was always that asshole being on their phone. Those encounters just took me out of the movie & ruined the experience of going to the theater. So, I haven't gone to a movie theater in quite awhile. Hopefully with your video, the message can get across to the arrogant assholes.

You can actually talk to the employees at customer service for people using their cell phones, not just talking loudly. It embarrasses them and makes them stop every single time when an employee walks in and tells them that everyone else is disturbed by their actions.

Not necessarily - I did that - family was warned - the daughter flashed her cell phone in my direction to get my attention and laugh - told staff again and they threw them out, cause the mom got back on her cell phone.

I watched Doctor Sleep last night. And there was a guy who BROUGHT HIS KID. Why tf would you bring your 2 year old to a horror movie, just so he can cry. That kid cried NONSTOP for like 7 minutes. And I could not focus on the movie in that period. This happened a couple times during the movie. STAY 👏 HOME 👏 WITH 👏 YOUR 👏 KID. I wasn’t even mad at the kid. I was just pissed at the parents that were cool with him crying his eyes out.

This was perfect. I have had my movie going time ruined as well by these narcissistic people. And how about people that think that when the credits start to roll, it is time to start talking about what they have to do for the week, Aunt Sally's illness and how they have to get their car into the shop and all the while they are standing in front of you blocking the screen. ACK.

I remember one time I went to go see Oculus and i was excited to see this. The trailer looked good especially when you see the girl that eats the lightbulb, omg that looked horrifying but I was excited. Anyway, we are at the theater with my happy face on, and all of sudden you have a group of punk teenagers coming in loud as ever and they sat a couple rows in front of us. 10 mins goes by, a intense scene is about to happen, I'm at the edge of my seat, and one of the punk teenager girls phone rings and she answers it! I was so flipping pissed off I was about to report it to workers but somebody beat me to it. They still werent quiet through the movie or maybe only half but it waa extremely annoying and frustrating. I never had much experience with a person next to me on their phone but I know how annoying it can be. It dont make sense you buy tickets to a movie just to play on your phone? Unless you got an emergency like Cody said, keep your phone in your pocket or keep your ass at home!!!!

Great points! Almost every single horror film in theaters are riddled with kids and adults being ignorant and annoying as hell. I believe a few years back in my Conjuring 2 review I went off on something that had happened to me during that experience. Theaters need to crack down on cellphones and chatty Cathy's fast! It really does take you out of the film. Great video brother!

Been a subscriber for awhile now so I don’t know how I never saw this but 1000% in agreement. Chris stuckmann, who is another movie reviewer was saying maybe having all these movies coming to steaming would keep the assholes at home and the respectful movie goers still going to the theater. It’s optimistic but an interesting idea.

Full agree bro, I put mine on silent and I set it on my lap face down the reason I do this is because I have children and if I got a call saying I need to go I want to make sure I get it but if I ever do have to check my phone in the theater I only raise it up a little bit off of my leg so that the glare does not get into other people's way and I look at it basically upside down and then if I have to take a call or whatever they're is something wrong I step my ass outside
