- A short clip from the award-winning documentary Hamburger America, a film by George Motz. This clip visits Glenn Fieber at the iconic Solly's Grille in Glendale, WI. Solly's is the home of the butter burger, a burger with a whole lot of creamy Wisconsin butter on it. Think - butter as a condiment. Hamburger America was the film that inspired the Food Film Festival.

Tried it for the first time and it was wild! It's at its best when you first bite into it and there's still some semi-soft butter on the burger, the textures and flavors are amazing. The only issue I had was that I got it with cooked onions, and the bottom of the bun nearly fell apart it was so soaked. Gonna try it next time with raw onions.
Still, incredible burger and definitely a must-try!

Don't knock it till you try it folks. Probably the best burger I've ever had, but not something you can eat all the time. Lol. You'll be smelling butter for the rest of the day after eating one.

Trust me this is a treat lol u eat this every once in a great while but it’s so good. The last time I went to Solley’s and had a butter burger was back in 2017. That’s how far apart u do it so I’m about due to go back and have another burger.

I only buy Wisconsin butter, & Wisconsin or Vermont cheese, I'm Irish( live in Kentucky ) & I like butter from Ireland the best, Ireland would not sell butter in the U.S. until a few years ago & the only purveyors they will sell it to are in Wisconsin, that's how highly they think of the state, I agree 100%

(I realise this comment is five years old) This burger is exquisite, the fresh, rich creamery butter simply adds to the flavors and textures in your mouth. Immaculate is how many people describe this sacred food item. They simply cannot resist fainting at the smell of this burger.

@@CreativeName-rz8ow Tried it for the first time, after living in the Milwaukee area for 13 years, and it is really crazy and incredible to eat. That first bite, when some of the butter is still unmelted, is an amazing mix of textures and flavors. My only issue was the mixture of the melted butter and fried onions made the burger fall apart. Gonna try it with raw onions next time.
One day I will return to USA of America to eat one of those.
