Just got mine installed on 2010 2500 and the torsion bars are a pain in the butt. Heat and a 4 pound sledge hammer are your friend here.
This is a great lift I just put yhis on a 2002 2500hd and it works great and rides beautiful but don't be deceived if ur working on an older model your going to have problems with broken bolts and rusted unusable parts I had to replace torsion bar support bushings and alignment cam both sides.
Did your truck ride rough or smooth. I had a leveling kit with spacers on mine but wanted the ride to be smoother so I went with this 3” lift. How is the ride?
I put this on my 03 2500 hd. This video helped alot I was able to do all this myself took me longer then 4 hours

To tell which side is driver side and which side is passenger there will be a notch right next to the upper ball joint which you can see once you take the cap off in the notch is on the inside that will be the driver side

Being a plow truck my tortion keys were extremely rusted. I used oxyacetylene to loosen the bolt and used the torch to cut the key in half. It still wouldn’t come out so I rented a 20lb concrete hammer from Home Depot for $80 and it came right out
Will this put the cv axil in too much of an angle?
My control arms aren’t notched do indicate drivers side. I installed them with the rc logo to the rear of the vehicle and they are pretty much bottomed out on the metal droop stop. They might have 1/4 inch of clearance.
Has the vehicle been realigned since install?
Could I just buy the upper
control arms? Already have the rest of parts for the leveling kit

Why does the new UCA hit the bump stop? I cannot even fit a sheet of paper in there when it is on level ground.

If I order this and I just want to lift the front so it is a little higher then the back can I just not install the back block and shocks? Will that still be ok or would I have to install the the back end stuff
That will be fine to do that. It will not cause any problems at all

CANNOT break the torsion bars loose on my 08 Duramax. They are stuck in like none other. Any tips/tricks for breaking them loose?
PB blaster or trying heating them up a little. One of those two methods always seems to work
Air hammer on the back of the torsion bar works really well.
Jackhammer going to do that on my plow truck when I order and put this kit in!

How do the CV axle angles look after installing this? I bought a 2004 and it already had the torsion bars turned all the way up :/ on stock everything suspension
This kit is designed to keep the CV axles at optimum angles.

Yes this kit will lift and level.

Yes you retain the stock springs on this kit. Install the lifted blocks with the stock springs

Will this cause any vibrations in the drive shaft?
No this will not create any drive line vibration as long as you do not crank the keys too high and bind up the cv axles.
Yeah definitely another issue there. Until I got this kit I had my torsion keys cranked up to clear my bigger tires until I got the lift & installed it. I had zero vibrations even in 4wheel drive. Bad u joint maybe
How is this a 3 inch lift if you are only using 1 1/2 inch spacers in the rear?
You lift the front 3" and rear 1.5" in the rear to level the stance. These trucks have front rake from factory that causes it to sit lower in the front. If you were to lift the front 3" and rear 3" it would still not sit level.
I have a Chevy 07 Silverado new body 4x4 z71 with a leveling kit. Do I have to remove the leavening kit?
This kit actually uses the leveling keys. You would just have to purchase the remaining components separately.

This will work on the dually but you will need to get longer U bolts for the rear axle. We don't provide the u bolts for the dually.

PN# 23221 and 23220 come with the kit. They are included.

The angle of the upper control arms are kept at optimum angles.

I have 20x10 moto metal rims. What is the biggest tires I can use with slight modification ( cutting valance and back fender)?
You didn't say anything about the stock keys couldn't be yellow, purple or tan to fit!
How dose it ride.
Just a tad stiffer, which is expected on a torsion bar suspension but it doesn't vary from stock ride quality much. Designed to keep geometry at optimum angles.
Rides good smooth I've had it installed for about 6months now and love it personally best bang for your buck with control arms keeps oem geometry and alinement went perfectly no tire uneven wear

You can add a body lift but you wouldn't be able to add anymore suspension lift for this particular kit. It would cause issues with the geometry and alignment as well as pinion angle.
Manuel Verdin put a 3 inch body lift in with the bumper extensions.
