    Hi, William.
    Yes, Thailand has very strict visa policies. There is no getting around their laws; many people try. Doing border runs is definitely not the answer as, you will be denied entry if you abuse the situation. At some point, they will tell you that you will not be allowed in on future trips. It's the reality.
    On the other hand:
    - Vietnam offers 3 month visas. Da Nang & Nha Trang are excellent beach cities, as is Vung Tau just south of Saigon
    - You can stay in the Philippines for 3 years by extending your tourist visa
    - Malaysia also allows 90 day visas, no questions asked. The island of Borneo is definitely worth a trip. Lankawai & Penang are also worth a visit.
    As for your trip from Pattaya to Bangkok, your choices were spot on as, traffic jams in Bangkok can have you sitting for 3 hours without moving a kilometer. The Airport Link & BTS Train were the best way to get to Chatuchak Market area and, from there, it's easy to find a shuttle.
    Other than that, stay safe & have fun...
    *I'm pretty sure that Thailand has a Digital Nomad Visa. They also have a 1 year Muay Thai visa...

    • @ThePatriot-gm1fg
      @ThePatriot-gm1fg 8 месяцев назад +3

      Thailand does not have a digital nomad visa. The LTR visa which I think you may be referring to is for wealthy retirees or remote working company executives (which no major company allows anyway) so it's generally not useful for anyone under 40 or 45, who won't earn enough or meet the requirements to qualify for this visa

    • @ThePatriot-gm1fg
      @ThePatriot-gm1fg 8 месяцев назад

      @danielboomers LOL of course you have to go to school. They're cracking down on fake students abusing student visas.
      Also, why would you use an agency to get a student visa which is easily obtained through a legitimate school?
      Most agencies have stopped assisting with student visas anyway.

    2014 i came with a 60 Day tourist visa to Pattaya, near Jomtien is Chon Buri Immigration, there i was able to extend my visa for 30 days, it cost around 50 Euro. Its good that Thailand has strict laws, they dont want to end up like germany with illegal mass migration. They are smarter.

    When living in the Pattaya - Jomtien area, the trick is to always book your flight from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) Instead of from Don Mueang (DMK). In this way you can take the low cost bus from Jomtien directly to Suvarnabhumi. This is the least hassle way to travel on the cheap when living in the Pattaya - Jomtien area.

  • @conthrust
    @conthrust 8 месяцев назад +1

    To catch a train to Don Muang is easy go to Makkasan station (from the Suvarnabhumi Airport (ARL) then catch a train to Bang Sue station (blue line) (MRT) you need to get onto the (red line) (SRT) and then service to Don Muang or alternatively catch the airport bus if you have an airline ticket it’s free. Note when using the trains you have to change to different lines and you may get confused? So ask at the ticket counter or ask a staff member if you are confused, but have what you want to ask on a translator if you don’t speak Thai. REMEMBER MAKKASAN AND BANG SUE STATIONS AND THERE IS A BIT OF A WALK TO FROM THE STATION TO THE AIRPORT ALSO THERE IS A FOOD COURT WITH CHEAP FOOD ON YOUR LEFT AND A 7/11 AS YOU ARE WALKING TO THE AIRPORT ITS ALL UNDER COVER

      A 30 day on arrival visa exemption also entitles the holder to a 30 day extension. It doesn't require any application either. The 60 day tourist visa is not easy to get these days.

    • @Eoghan-hs2wz
      @Eoghan-hs2wz 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ThePatriot-gm1fgThe 60-day tourist visa is still easy to get. I know plenty of people who entered on that. It's subsequent requests for it that might be denied. The days of doing visa runs for years on end are over.
      Keep in mind that if you want to convert a 30-day stamp or a tourist visa to non-immigrant, you have to put in the application at least 15 days before the visa expires.

    You can catch a regular bus which takes about 75min from BKK airport to DMK airport for only Bt30 anytime goes about every 15 min and is much safer than a taxi. Catch the free link bus from BKK to the bus depot unload and get on the 555 bus which stops opposite DMK airport you don't have to have a departing air ticket from DMK. Catch it anytime you like and you will not be like sardines in a tin can. All told Bt30 by bus, it is safer and much cheaper than a taxi at Bt600 or more and often quicker as it uses bus lanes at times.

    Unless you had a multiple entry visa, your visa expired the moment that you were granted entry into the country. That's all a visa does is get you entry, if they don't refuse you at the entry point. After you arrive, you are granted a PERMISSION TO STAY...you aren't on a visa. People get this so wrong.

    • @Eoghan-hs2wz
      @Eoghan-hs2wz 8 месяцев назад

      Your comment makes no sense. If your visa expired on entry, you would have to leave the country immediately. A visa not only gains you entry into the country, it gives you permission to stay for a specific period of time. The visa is valid till the date stamped in your passport on the day you arrive. If you don't want to leave the country, you need to get the visa extended. Otherwise, you have overstayed your visa, and will face serious consequences.
      Some people claim that the 30-day stamp on arrival is not a visa. Not true. A visa is an endorsement in a passport which allows the traveler to stay for a specific period. The stamp they put in reads "ผ.30" under the words "visa class". "ผ." is the abbreviation for ผ่อนผัน" which means to exempt temporarily.

    • @olekristoffersen9298
      @olekristoffersen9298 8 месяцев назад

      You are 100% correct, visa is needed to entry the country and depending on type of visa you get a permission to stay. I been in thailand since over 30 yrs back, and after i get 50 i never had any visa at all, just a yearly extension of stay at immigration for 1900 baht. A visa is stamped "used" as you enter country.

    • @Eoghan-hs2wz
      @Eoghan-hs2wz 8 месяцев назад

      @@olekristoffersen9298 Your visa only allowed you entry into the country? Seriously? A visa doesn't expire upon entry. If you had no visa, you'd be booted out of the country immediately. When they stamp "used" in the passport, it doesn't mean the visa has expired, it means the visa has been put into effect.
      Is this really difficult to understand?
      Look up the definition of visa: permission to enter a country and to stay for a specific period of time. When you do an extension on your visa, you get an extension of stay. Your original visa is still in effect.
      Which part of this don't you understand? Are you two being purposely obtuse?
      But carry on by all means. I find it humorous that my fellow humans can't grasp the most basic concepts.
      Please tell us viewers your nationality. Enquiring minds want to know. 🤣

      Visa is under Ministry of forign affairs and their embassy around the world, a visa grant you access to the country, and depending on what type of visa you arrive on will give you a certain permission too stay, this will be stamped into your passport and is not under MFA, but Immigration tha sorts under Royal Thai police, and immigration does not issu any visas, only extension of stay (even some offices can help you to aply via Ministry of foreig affairs in Bangkok) , A extension of stay is not a visa. Same whaen i worked in China and other countries. Immigration does not give you a visa but a permission to stay,@@Eoghan-hs2wz

      You dont understand this, you need learn about the difference with a visa and a permission to stay in a country, and yes a visa gives you a permission to stay but it is used upon entry and can not be used again if not a multiple entry visa.Read and learn, i lived in thailand a long time and no visa since 16 yrs back.@@Eoghan-hs2wz

    Is your friend waiting for you to come back or is she going along

    By the way, you need to come back home to Mexico. Mexico suited you so well.

    Hi William, I am always really impressed by your drone footage! Thailand looked amazing. Can you, or someone else if they know, please tell me what drone you use. I want to save up to purchase one like it.
