Turbo Miata Fuel Pump Install (DW100)

Quick install of a DW100 fuel pump into my 90 NA6 Miata. Recently installed a turbo kit, and figured a new pump would help keep the fuel system in tip-top shape.

Good video! One of the few that actually show a fuel pump installation on a 1.6. The DW200 follows the same procedure.

I think I will do a NC video since I have watched 4 videos and none of them state what kind of MX5 it is.

Just got my kraken kit in too! Starting my build in a week. 96 1.8 I just got rods, stock used pistons just polished, 2 in intercooler piping, pulsar gtx2867r gen2, dw200, FlowForce 900cc injectors, 3in full exhaust. Shooting for 300 on e85. Hopefully my 5 speed will handle it, its just a street car so we'll see.

@@ConnorsCorner1 Don't roast me im running a clutchmax stage 2 (I know) but who could resist that deal.

I just used oem bearings for the trans and clutch instead of the supplied stuff it was garbage.

I just installed mine today for my supercharged 92 na. I got confused with the o ring cap setup. I ended up using the bottom spacer and stacked up the 3 o rings and lubed. I see you did it different. I wonder why it came with 3 o rings?

I was wondering if there is any issue with splicing wires and gasoline. Anything to worry about there?

Did the DW100 end up having any impact on your tune that was based on the stock pump?

Nope!! Tune stayed exactly the same. 165 LPH isn’t far off from what the stock pump runs, so the FPR essentially makes sure it’s the same as stock.

@@ConnorsCorner1 good to know, im going with this same pump cause I read the dw200 would over power the FPR. Thanks for confirming its pretty close to stock.

@@kevinsaeed9817 Yep. From what I understand a lot of the spec Miata guys run 165lph pumps.
