But don't you still have the same amperage bottle neck the moment current reaches the original smaller gauge wire left in the circuit. So it is still going to have exactly the same voltage drop exposure as before? (Higher amps hitting smaller guage wires increases heat in the smaller guage section of wire, increasing heat = increasing resistance = increasing voltage drop.)
Those larger guage wires should feed all the way to the pump to eliminate the bottle neck should they not?

The drop is minimal over this small amount, its worked well for many people but i may be rectifying this in the future with bulk head fittings

you did the ground just to hardwire it without just puting it on battery or chasie right ?
