I loved suicidal in the 80s and 90s and Rocky George was a total hero to me. Decades later my band played a show with Fishbone when Rocky was playing for them and I got chatting with him. He ended up letting me do our show using his Ibanez guitar which was a surreal and amazing moment for me
Funny suicidal tendencies saved my life when I was younger. Was able to hear the same thoughts and aggravations I had. People judge the name, but they should embrace the thoughts the teens have and listen to the lyrics and the path they are on...that is all this band that ever tried to do was make others understand.People need to realize like "I will wake up in the morning" is a booster not a negative thing. Just my thoughts :) God bless.
Rough year, but have had dreams of my father everyday for a week and today is my b-day. Go figure :) Dion I hope you are well you are also in my prayers and everyone. Bless :)
@Rowan Melton this band should have been more popular than faith no more dude. mike is a hell of a vocalist and the guitar is clapton quality. not quite stevie ray but fucking groove none the less
Less than 2 million views for one of the most underrated songs of the last 30 years. Suicidal possessed an insane talent in Rocky George (who never gets mentioned ever among the great shredders when he could destroy them all), Mike Clarke and Robert Trujillo. Mike Muir's lyrics are incredible and the drums of RJ Herrera were one of my favorite drum sounds ever, especially Controlled By Hatred.... I know that they could have been massive if they had bowed to the industry and changed their name but they never did. Amazing band that kept me sane in many a dark time.... Cyco for Life!
So it’s 2019 I’m down at the Colorado river blasting this !! Peeps walking up asking who this !,,?? I smile and say suicidal tendencies..... they all look at each other and say this shit is bad ass !!! Damn straight!!! Suicidal por vida !!!! I’ve lost many friends since this came out ..... I’m now 51 with 20 year old plus kids ..... and when dads play list brings this up ? ....... wAtch out .. dad gets emotional with this whole album ... it’s my giddy up time .. nothing crazy or loco I just kick it down and get emotional when this comes up !! Been listening since 1983 but when this album came out ? Oh damn !
Wow, it’s been 27 years?? That’s soo crazy. I just remember playing the shit out of this record when it came out, and as much as I love the old school punk Suicidal stuff, I gotta say this was probably my favorite. Working for Dominoes in Sun City, California and smoking a joint while delivering pizzas and just crankin this CD as loud as my little set of Kenwood 6x9’s could go in my ‘84 Toyota truck. Then seeing them with Megadeth in Del Mar San Diego, such good times and good memories of this record.
This song; the Beautiful youngmen who created it, this band, this song, got me through my hardship of divorce essentially and now, 8 years later is one of my son's favorite songs 😊
29 years since I first heard ST... To this day I can put on ST, feel really sad and shit etc etc..within a couple of seconds the tears dry up, I'm (very embarrassingly) playing airguitar/bass/drums & singing along- with a big smile!!! I really hope these guys know how much their music is appreciated and how it has had a positive effect on people like myself... ST 4 LIFE
I've been doing some 60 second TTs of some of the best music I grew up with as a Gen Xer. The amount of trolls and their hate comments is actually pretty funny. Air guitar/drums will always be cool, no matter how stupid we look! 😂
Swiatek702 this song will always remind me of time I drove to a field, sat on my Bonet with my step brother drinking and smoking and then trying to drive and being stuck in the mud. And having to call a friend to tow me out haha
The3rdeyedontdie saw em with megadeth last year. they ROCKED THE FUCKING HOUSE.. i actually got scared for a moment when the ENTIRE CROWD went crazy.. then said fuck it and joined in..
The3rdeyedontdie the true classic musicians/bands always seem to be overlooked/underrated! 1 great thing about that is didn't/doesn't force them into selling out or getting ruined by being over played. Even if a band has a badass jam get tons of airplay/over play, seems like most people always overlook the songs that's not singles. True metal heads will be those only to snuff out the hidden gems!! S.T. should def have more fkn views though bro!!
Totally agreed. This is one of the most underrated groups in history, why? I can not say. This title is light years away from the big shits that make more than 1 billion views.
I've only had one bad trip in the hundreds of times with heavy psychedelics. But the one thing that brought me back to enjoying my trip was this song. That was 1995-6. A magical moment, was it, too much of a good thing?
Probably the best psychedelic song from the middle of the ninethies. Damn, if this was just an experiment for the like of ST, sure it was perfectly succesful..
You aint alone bro man you aint alone this group tells the whole f'n world like it really is. Great respect for all of them and all who appreciate SUICIDAL
I actually fell asleep at the wheel while driving a van full of people on a 500 mile trip. What saved all our lives was someone noticed me and physically woke me and said I need to pull over and get some sleep before we continue. I did that and we finished the trip just fine. I will never forget that we all could have died that night.
Was introduced to Suicidal by this sone, Mike and Rob were interviewed on Raw Power on UK TV when The Art of Rebellion came out. Been hooked ever since, this album and Lights Camera Revolution are absolute gold.
Been Suicidal since thier inception. Suicidal for Life. This album is one of the best recordings out there. Everything about this album and band is top notch. They never pull thier punches. Speak from the heart and just blast everything out of the water. Not a bad album in thier entire catalog. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 ST FOR LIFE🤘🏻🤘🏻
this band's catalog has so many surprises, and it's all so great. they deserve so much more recognition than the considerable amount they already get. just the most consummate musicians disguised as California punks.
I love this song so much. I still feel it deeply, the lyrics really hit me like the very first time. I've been through hard times and I still have really bad days... but listening to this song always brings me back to balance... even just for a little while. This isn't just music. Thank you for producing something surreal, I feel like I belong and someone gets me. ST
Im a long time metal fan from when I was a kid in the 80s. For some reason I never explored Suicidal's catalog until now. Holy shit this song is absolutely awesome! How did I never get into these guys as a kid?!?!?!?!

What makes you believe he's underrated?
The most underrated Guitarist 100% some of his tapping is next level. Also the fretless bass is wicked too.
This band doesn't have a bad song. You can listen to anything they do and never lose interest
I totally agree. One of the 1st California cassettes I ever purchased. Still awesome today!
First albums were not on my taste.
I listen to them but the beauty started for me from "How will I Laugh Tomorrow..."
