I paid $700 for the version of this with the regular gtx 1650 and I'm very happy with its performance. Especially with GPU prices being so high now, this just makes sense.

I've actually gotten old 2016 Acer nitro and while it doesn't have the same settings as the current 2021 version it has helped out a lot over what I needed to do it can even still run some of the higher end games that have just recently come out along with being able to do a lot of the editing software I need for my school work so it's been lasting me pretty well I'm very happy with it I would definitely recommend this for a budget gaming laptop and I hope that they continue to make the nitro and the Titan even better for Budget gaming

This is a textbook example of how product reviews should be done! A truly well rounded review of the Nitro 5. Now Acer has released an updated Nitro 5 with Ryzen 5600H processor, and 144 Hz display. I am considering getting it but I am concerned with the lower RGB coverage, as you pointed out. Is it an issue in day to day tasks? Also, could you suggest me an alternative 15.6 inch notebook with a better display at a similar price point (Gaming is not a priority for me)? Thank You and once again I appreciate the great review.
Thank you Bilal Naqvi! Honestly - I don't find the sRGB coverage a big issue. But I'm sure you could find a laptop at a similar price with a better display - you don't need the 144Hz refresh either if you're not using it for gaming. Sorry I can't give you a specific model to look at - but will have more laptop reviews hopefully soon!
We recently got a Nitro 5 with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H RTX3060 for my kid who is doing a degree in animation. This machine is very well built and runs very well with everything thrown at it. My only complain is the screen which flexes a bit and is a little wobbly during typing at certain angle. Also, the hinge looks a little weak (doesn't appear like it will be able to take too much abuse over time) So, I had adviced my kid to be kind to it when opening and when slamming it shut. Other than that it is a pretty light, quiet and well built powerful gaming computer. Great review The Technology Man. Very thorough, structured and well thought review. Thanks! :)
@@TheTechnologyMan Yea, it was available here recently. Wanted to get the Lenovo Legion 5 with the same specs (and price) but customizing, ordering and waiting for it is quite a pain I heard.
What a well done comprehensive review. I've been looking at something to complement my older gaming rig, so while this wouldn't be my main squeeze for gaming, good be a good option for those MMOs I play regularly or minecraft. Thanks for the review.
Ótimo review! Tava pensando em comprar esse notebook aqui no Brasil, ele tá bem barato e com promoção, esse vídeo já me deu uma ideia do que pensar. Valeu aí cara pelo ótimo review e pelas dicas
I'm so glad that you looked into upgrade options as I'm looking forward to upgrading my own. And also does it really matter which ram I should get? Does it matter that I have the pair the exact same or take out the existing and replace it was 2 x16 GB of ram.
This is the most in-depth review of the nitro I've ever seen right down to the bios. As a 2019 nitro user, I just wanna know if the 2021 nitro has the 80% battery limit feature.
I have one as well for when I'm outta town and it runs really well. I'm running games like DayZ, Scum, 7 Days To Die with absolutely no issues. Just upgrade the hard drive.
As an owner of an Acer Nitro 5, it's an OK laptop. I have the 1650 model, not the 1650Ti model. I can play VR with asyncronous spacewarp (zwoopy zwoopy framey thing, helps with performance when using Oculus, limiting framerate to 36 if pushed hard enough) at 1300 per eye. Boneworks runs, not the best. I can play Team Fortress 2, but I have to have the resolution at 720p during high combat scenarios if I want over 60fps, and sometimes I only get 50~. I like it, but I ould lie to get a better one in the future. This laptop has gotten me into PC gaming and i'd love to continue! I need a job...
This is a good gaming laptop I use it for my video editing software it works perfect for me. One person in Micro center was like it was not going to work for me but I look at the number in the labtop and it look good for me I put 32g of ram in it and 1tb of ssd and a 500g ssd card in it and it is fast as hell.
I went after this yesterday, Best Buy's site said they had one in stock in Costa Mesa. They didn't, so I ordered it in front of the guy..to be sent to deliver to the BB location 2 blocks from my house. Yes, that was kinda petty of me but the site lied so neener. Can't wait to get my hands on it (NLT this Thursday) and this video was a fresh confirmation that it will work perfectly for me. Thanks, DC
I lost my desktop , laptop , businesses and home in the recent floods in Australia , so I am definitely on a budget. I am currently tossing up between a Nitro 5 , either an i7 11800 or an i5 11400 , both with the rtx3050 , to replace my 4yr old desktop and laptop . With new processors on the way you can pick them up in Oz for around 20% off recommended retail price. The specs' on either model out shine my old desktop so I will grab one of these and pick up a decent monitor later for my photo editing and add a further 8gb ram stick and 4gb HDD for media storage.
I'm planning on buying this laptop, and I was originally scared, since battery levels were warned to be really low, and I want to take this to uni. However, seeing that you ran a test on documents and video browsing and whatnot, and it lasts for 4-6 hours, I think this will be amazing for me. Thank you so much for the detailed review
Great informative video I purchased this laptop online from lazada in Thailand as here in Tanzania laptops are very expensive and probably second hand.
First of all, very good video ,thank you for it ! I got an acer nitro 5 last year in octomber i5-10300h gtx 1650 16GB ram 256ssd +500HDD for 800euro, considering 150 were for the VAT from this price, i am very happy with the laptop, playing games like battlefield 1 on medium/high (i can do it full high but the temperature the cpu reaches scare me a little :D) or mount and blade bannerlord on high and staying in a good 50-70 fps range edit: About bannerlord... i am playing with 500 hundred troops max on the map because yes the fps gets sh*t if you are in the middle of the battle

Thanks! :)
Thank you Mike Javen Ng! Great you managed to get the model with the 3060 - should comfortably see them through their studies!
Thank you Timothy Bunston! Yes should be fine for that!
I tried mine craft and got around 200 - 300 FPS with optifine
Please continue reviewing more! Your review is just perfect!! Instant sub and like! 💪🏼
Thank you very kind! And I will do!

Thank you so much Ariadna Radler!
Love the level of detail. Extremely informative and well thought out. Thanks very much
Great - glad it was helpful!
I'm so glad that you looked into upgrade options as I'm looking forward to upgrading my own. And also does it really matter which ram I should get? Does it matter that I have the pair the exact same or take out the existing and replace it was 2 x16 GB of ram.
Glad that helped! You will get slightly better performance with a matched pair of RAM modules.
One of the best reviews of this laptop thanks for the video.
Great thanks!
Fantastic review, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks rossSec!
THANKS A ALOT FOR THIS REVIEW

This is the most in-depth review of the nitro I've ever seen right down to the bios. As a 2019 nitro user, I just wanna know if the 2021 nitro has the 80% battery limit feature.
Thank you nitro man! Sorry I never owned the 2019 Nitro.
Holy cow, thorough review. Awesome, thanks!
Great thank you!
Nice Channel Sir🔥, please review another laptop gaming like Lenovo Legion, Ideapad gaming, Omen and another merk

I just want a laptop that can run the sims 4 and all the dlc 😤
Should be fine for that!
Did you find a gaming laptop for that? I’m trying to find one for the sims too but one that can handle cc
@@milant8436 this one can
I just bought this laptop for this purpose. The specs work out just fine :)
This is very detailed and thank you for getting straight to the point
No problem glad you liked the review.
hello i have this laptop using it now the problem is is that the built in mic is a bit glitchy as mine is not working
That's not something I noticed - maybe check CPU usage?
I FREAKING LOVE THIS VIDEO DUDE!!!! GOOD JOB 👍
Thank you Jaylinn!!
Thanks for the info I’m thinking about getting one ☝️
No problem 👍
Hey. I have Acer Nitro 5 and it is amazing.
@@michadomeracki5910 would u recommend it
@@scxllyedits Of course. The laptop is amazing. One of the best purchases in my life.
Good to you your impressions thanks!
I actually bought the 165hz ryzen 7 5800h version of this with 16gb ram and 1tb ssd with a 2560*1440p display and I feel that it is amazing!
Nice!
This guy deserves 1Million Subs

This is easily the best review and test on a laptop I've ever watched.
Great thank you!
You deserve a medal. Good work 👍👍👍
Wow, thank you!
i bought one with a rtx 3060 and ryzen 5 5600H

Great spec - hope you enjoy it!
You are great man. This video is soooooo good. Greeting from germany. Keep it up!
Thank you Christian Stoffregen - far too kind!
I have the 2020 one with i7-9750H and RTX 2060 and it runs Rocket League with 144 Hz. Such a great Entry Gaminglaptop!
Decent spec there 👍!
This video is the most detailed video on youtube
Thank you Speck!
Best review of this laptop hands down
Thank you AMH!
Nice upgrade!
great video man very detailed
Thank you Nice Fly!
Thanks,
DC
Great hope you get it soon!
@@TheTechnologyMan Got it, LOVING it so far. It runs my video editor faster than my desktop that has almost twice the RAM😆
I hope it does the job for you!
I bought this laptop but the ryzen 5 4600h gtx 1650 variant wih 256gb nvme. I just added 1tb wd hdd. It handles almost all games perfectly.
Great!
Damn, Just covered everything in detail 🔥🔥 a sub ✅

@@TheTechnologyMan WHAT MADE U EVEN BETTER IS THAT EVEN THO THIX VID IS 4 MONTHS OLD U STILL REPLY TO OUR COMMENTS ♥️♥️♥️
Dont buy it bro
@@kickticker4410 fr man? You've had issues?
@@asvinanpu4469 i was planning to buy the same nitro 5800h 3050ti but display hinges and heating problems

just got one of these. 17.3 inches, 3060 gpu, Core i7-10750H and 32gb of ram, pretty good deal imo

I just bought a variant of the acer nitro 5. Its pretty much same specs but has the intel core i5 and 12GB Ram instead, other specs being the same
Wow what a REALLY good video. Great review, thank you.
No problem glad it helped!
Great informative video I purchased this laptop online from lazada in Thailand as here in Tanzania laptops are very expensive and probably second hand.
Thank you Craig Douglas - hope it arrives safely!
Damn i love this guy he is so detailed
Thank you iPlay!
First of all, very good video ,thank you for it !
I got an acer nitro 5 last year in octomber
i5-10300h
gtx 1650
16GB ram
256ssd +500HDD
for 800euro, considering 150 were for the VAT from this price, i am very happy with the laptop, playing games like battlefield 1 on medium/high (i can do it full high but the temperature the cpu reaches scare me a little :D) or mount and blade bannerlord on high and staying in a good 50-70 fps range
edit: About bannerlord... i am playing with 500 hundred troops max on the map because yes the fps gets sh*t if you are in the middle of the battle
Thank you Georgi Georgiev! Nice spec - nice having the extra RAM and HDD already installed 👍.
"not too overdone" i mean these days its like one of the most gamery out there
When it's closed I don't think it looks too much like a gaming laptop - but yes when open as I say in the video there's no hiding it!
