    Thanks for this. I love the step by step process. I’m brand new to reefing and needed to know a good way to change the water. This is perfect.

      Thanks man, I know thats the law of the land but I have always mixed water this way for 5 years and have never had a single problem, we do it at work also with no problems. To each is own.

      Adding water to salt causes precipitation lowering the additives and is not recomended. I don’t see why you would go against Red Sea’s recommendation as it does not speed the process or make it any easier. Do whatever you want to your own tank, but I find producing a video in this manor irresponsible.
      Just my personal opinion and not fact 😉

    Do u know why my tds is testing 1 or 2 in the 44 gallon blute can, but tds coming out at 0.

    Do you need to heat the water before putting it in?

      I dont, unless you are doing a massive 50% or greater change I dont heat the water.

    How long does it take to do this complete water change? Very informative and interesting Video. Excellent care of your tank and it really shows, the tank is beautiful.

      Thank you, the whole process usually takes around an hour.

    I thought it was better to add salt to water not water to salt

      Lots of people do, but i have always done it this way and have never had any problems before, we do it at work also with no problems.

    FIRST YOU PUT WATER, AFTER THAT YOU ADD SALT TO THE WATER. I THINK YOU HAVE TO LEARN A LOT AND YOU WILL HAVE TO READ A LOT OF BOOKS...
