    I cycled my tank for only a week, but used Dr. Tim’s bacteria. I also Used rock and water from an established tank, and went bare bottom.
    Currently have 3 fish, high end mushrooms, Zoas, Anemone’s, and some LPS. I’m on my 3rd week, and everything looks fine.
    Nice job on the rock scape

    Respect for your patience and probably a good advise. However if you keep the fish stock low you can stabilize it faster and add some hardy corals. Remember corals care less about the cycle since they dont cary red blood cells.. They just need stable water.

    Hi Antonio, how do you set up the light schedule: intensity for channel A/B/C, also duration for each segments. I'm assuming that you'll make a mixed reef, then for general rule of thumb, how many PAR your aim on the sand bed directly beneath the light?
    I'm getting just one like you for my nano 60cmx45cmx45cm tank, and have no clue about that led setup for mixed reef (some softies, LPS and SPS) other than what pleasing to the eyes. Cheers.

      Hello brother. I highly
      Recommend watching my
      PAR video on these light where I cover my personal schedule I will be running and par as well 😉

    • @oropherelf8544
      @oropherelf8544 5 лет назад +1

      Whoa.
      According your measurement, I found that since 11.5" is 120% higher than 9", your PAR readings on 9" are more or less 120% higher than ones at 11.5" above water. Amazing. Thanks.
      However some say that it is not safe running C channel 100%, might burn some coral, nor 140%. So I'm still searching for reference of setup that really helps mixed reef growth. Looking forward to hearing from you with your setting once you had some corals.

    • @eatsleepreef9565
      @eatsleepreef9565  5 лет назад +1

      Ya lights are more than capable of growing any coral. As far as the final number I can’t talk much about since there is no coral
      In the tank. Once I have coral I will surely be able to share more recommendations on percentage. :)

    You need to clarify more because having zero ammonia does not mean that your tank is cycled(unless you are doing a fish in cycle). You could have zero ammonia if your tank just never cycled. You want to test nitrates and make sure you have nitrates present because if you don't have any nitrates, your tank isn't cycled.

  • @gbj6581

    I find when you dont add much livestock initial, or corals for months after cycling, you tend to have less algea issues.
    Are you going to seed the tank with any coraline algea, becuase the tank needs an initial source from some frag plug or snail shell etc.

    So much false information in our hobby. I completely cycled my tank with all new everything in one week. Dry rock, no seeding except Dr. Tim's. I had 4 fish in 2 weeks and a hammer coral in 3 weeks. I had one small dino bloom for 2 weeks and now I have Scolys, LPS and multiple SPS and 6 fish in a 40 gallon innovative. I have lost nothing....no fish and no corals. Right now my tank is only 4 months old and still no real Coraline algae. Just FYI. I don't vacuum my sand bed and that's why I don't get crazy algae blooms. 25 years in the hobby and I do what works and not bad advice. Good luck on everything

    You just want to complicate simple things by instaling the kh director in the cabinet in souch a small space where you will not be able to maintein and service this equipement...and for that u have to change the all plumbing....realy? Buy a small network cabinet for the electronics, dosing conteiners and ato. Just my opinion. What light u have on the refugium?

      You need to add coraline in your tank either by adding live rock, crapping a rock with coraline or with snails which have some on their shells. Otherwise. It will never pop. Unless you're lucky when adding a coral which the plug got some.

    • @eatsleepreef9565
      @eatsleepreef9565  5 лет назад +3

      Nope not at all. The type of bacteria used to get cycles started reproduces way quicker in lower salinity and temp over 80 degrees. I highly recommend you watch the brs video on Dr Tim talk. Have a pen ready to take a whole mess of notes and watch the whole thing. I learned a bunch of info. Here is link

      No I forget the exact mark but he recommended cycling tanks from 1.015-1.018. He did say they can switch to fresh water Bacteria at lower temps and lower salinity but it was way lower.

    I cannot believe the stuff you got for that tank,its ridiculous, the focus is the tank,not the equipment, you got more equipment than you got tank..the tank is beautiful but you just went overboard on equipment, that should be for a 125,175,or a 240,mann that's krazy,I think you put too much into it.HOB for me always,Keep it simple,and enjoy the hobby,You are stressed out,the equipment is doing that to you...Your doing too much work...🤔🤔🤔
