Yo bob 🧛🏼 The best part about carti is that there’s no one else rn that can sound like him. Everyone is on that quick and short staccato flow after die lit dropped. That isn’t to say how they can’t do it as good as carti, but it’s crazy too see the influence cartis sound had on the general hh landscape. Now that carti is kinda finding his niche with his wlr sound (or just his wlr vamp phase ) I wonder what else will be as influencing…
He’s influenced the underground trap scene so much over the past few years. The current rage sound is part of his influence too, and that’s blowing up like crazy now
im sorry these comments are so cringe these comments are so Brand new Carti early sound was just a chief keef copy just like everyone one who came from that 2015 - 2016 underground scene but on self title and Die lit he's inspired by young Thug and its obvious lol

I know you said you've gotten a lot of Young Thug requests before, but Barter 6 is imo the best trap album ever so it's worth reiterating that it's definitely one to check out if you're interested in him!
yo bob idk if you’ll see this but i watched the original version of this video, but i came back because i remembered something that maybe you’d be interested in watching on your own time or for a video. I stumbled upon a video called “Playboi Carti ANTI-Concert Review” and it was this french professor who went with his son to a Carti concert, and had very interesting takes about the concert. it’s definitely worth a watch. anyways love the content bob.
I watched this video, and it was an interesting perspective. It was honestly a little hard to wrap my head around, because I'm so used to shows being a certain thing-a band playing a killer set and everyone jamming to it. What that guy is describing is exactly that, an anti-concert. Like... I get it, but I don't get it lol
imo wanting ‘hip hop’ (loosely construed) to subvert its own stereotyping in media or its appearance as an outsider - having deep lyrics and messages and etc - is missing how artists like carti, or chicago drill artists eg. chief keef embody the conditions being addressed in more ‘conscious’ work within the music itself. for example the beats are constructed to sound as voilent as possible, repetitivity turning into a hypnotic near-boredom and etc., reflecting the lifestyle and conditions that j. cole or kendrick address lyrically. so there is more going on but its not lyrical (represented), but rather embodied (literal) i forgot who said it and how exactly but ‘conscious’ rap panders to white expectations of black music and experience, rather than challenging those expectations
I genuinely want you to react to the original self-titled album, all three albums feel like completely different sounds and it would be interesting to see your reaction to it.
I feel like the Intro both Die lit and WLR set the tone of the albums , like WLR rock star made set the tone that the album will be full of rock star beats and him acting like one and Die lit is mostly how the fame makes him feel and feeling a new way since he has all this fame and money
Hey! Just wanted to thank you for the content, you’re one of my favourite RUclips channels right now. I’d also recommend listening to AT LONG LAST ASAP sometime. Great album I think you’d appreciate
I think you should watch a carti concert to really get a grasp of how the music is interpreted live. A lot of Carti’s music is really meant to be heard live, you can really see how his energy on the track can influence a track. Even songs that seem pretty mellow can have 10X more energy when he performs it. Try checking a concert video out.
if you liked lil uzi's verse on shoota you'd fall in love with his albums and if you do decide to react to him, do a poll on which album you should react to since he has alot of albums and all his albums sound different
Pierre Bourne 😈🏁produced the majority of this album, along with his verse being on "Right Now." He basically made this sound for Carti. He only produced 2 songs on WLR
To answer your questions on “fell in love” when carti says ‘she got her panties off, with no T” he simply means no t-shirt lol. & also when he says ‘ i put the doors up , she likes to show off’ he is referring to a super car he owns with doors that open vertically as most cars with that design are considered luxurious.
The biting references are a reference to the key physical traits that people who are under influence of molly portray. When on molly, people tend to bite down too hard when just casually standing around. Causing lockjaw at times
your my new fav RUclipsr this is genius, you have never heard any of cartis music until now but you just understand why people are so into his work. you adapt so fast and respect the great aspect of the songs. great work you should look into his leaked songs for reviews would be so dope
You should definelty do a reaction to playboi carti's performance at Rolling Loud NY 2021. It's more or less Whole Lotta Red but with the guitar intros and it really in my opinion shows what the album was and is made of.
42:23 pretty sure its just a foreign car with butterfly doors which means the doors quite literally go up, unlike an actual car door which goes sideways
I listened to this album in full while I painted once. My painting turned out well, and I remember really crediting this album for creative stimulation, and creating a mood. The energy of the album has an ebb and flow: loud & confident vs big sad & druggie.
Bro these reactions are gold. Your definetly appealing to this audience . Keep doing reactions like this I could watch this all day! Lil uzi , Carti, etc!
I’d love to see you react and analyze The Weeknd’s Trilogy, more specifically the House Of Balloons mixtape. I know R&B isn’t your thing but The Weeknd made a whole new wave of the R&B sound and themes. It does go deep and I really would like to see you analyze and interpret that mixtape/album.
Have u considered getting a good pair of headphones? For all I know you might have a great set of speakers that you’re listening to these albums on so good headphones might not even make a difference, but with some of these albums I feel like listening to them with good headphones would rlly add to the experience. Rodeo by Travis Scott, for example, has fantastic audio mixing that adds that spacey and psychedelic feel and it sounds amazing on headphones. The Sony WH-1000XM series are fantastic headphones if you’re interested in getting into some high end territory. The current model is the XM4 but it’s a very marginal difference between the previous model, the XM3. They sound virtually identical so if u can find that one for cheaper I’d also recommend that one
You mentioned the jump from Die lit to WLR and there’s a smoother transition if you had listened to his leaked songs during the 18-20 break some of these leaks are his best works, some of the best music to ever touch human ears (buffy the body, zodiac killa, skeleton, Cancún, no lie etc etc)
Once you finish DAMN, I suggest listening to jcole from his first mixtape to his most recent album. The two have been compared for years and both are on a lyrically different level than anyone else. They truly both lead the rap game. Jcole is heavily lyric based, so your style of analyzing every line will be needed for every song of his. I have a great feeling you will enjoy his music!
Although this album isn't well known I would be very glad if you reviewed Sean Leon's "I think you've gon mad or Sins of the father" project. I think he is very underrated and the project has a great story ://

9:18 man listened to WLR 10-15 times thats how u know he really appreciates music and is open minded
Yo bob 🧛🏼
The best part about carti is that there’s no one else rn that can sound like him.
The current rage sound is part of his influence too, and that’s blowing up like crazy now
yeat
im sorry these comments are so cringe these comments are so Brand new Carti early sound was just a chief keef copy just like everyone one who came from that 2015 - 2016 underground scene but on self title and Die lit he's inspired by young Thug and its obvious lol
@@dalybor967 yeat is so boring the only underground artist exciting right now is BBY Kodie and Draft day yeat is lame and boring

HEY HEY WHERE DA PROBLEM AT
SPINNIN ON DEEZ PERCS LIKE IM A LAUNDROMAT
BIG PLAYIN WIT MY WOOD SHE A LUMBERJACK
I JUST TOUCHED A M BUT I DOUBLE DAT
i had said this on the original uncut video but most of these beats are made by rapper/producer pi’erre bouene, he is very fun and creative and makes his own music, whenever you hear a tag along the lines of “yo pi’erre you wanna come out here” it means the beat was made by him, he is a very underrated rapper who is only now starting to be appreciated and he made a phenomenal album named the life of pierre 5 if youre interested, mery christmas 🧛🏿
this video made me so happy, you seem like a really cool guy and i love how you’re open to new music. such an enjoyable video to watch mainly because of how funny and entertaining you are :)
When Carti says ‘biting’ he means biting his style, his sound, all that. Biting essentially means stealing.
should react to his rolling loud cali 23 performance
I already like this dude. I hope to be a lot like him when I’m older. I’m always jumping to different music genres to learn and get more inspiration when producing. I love open minded people
When I listen to Long Time I feel every emotion
I know you said you've gotten a lot of Young Thug requests before, but Barter 6 is imo the best trap album ever so it's worth reiterating that it's definitely one to check out if you're interested in him!
Tell me if you fw Butterfly Effect 🦋 up to 23K plays. Only if u fw vibe rap 🥂 ruclips.net/video/dxlYltzN-dc/видео.html
W Thugger
Dude actually said it's his fav trap album too
yo bob idk if you’ll see this but i watched the original version of this video, but i came back because i remembered something that maybe you’d be interested in watching on your own time or for a video.
@@bobthepoppop Can you please do Luv is Rage 2 - Lil Uzi vert
i’ve always seen carti as more of mystical character over his music, like an essence over production.
great album. minimalism music. but its so large at the same time! zoners. BLASSIC
imo wanting ‘hip hop’ (loosely construed) to subvert its own stereotyping in media or its appearance as an outsider - having deep lyrics and messages and etc - is missing how artists like carti, or chicago drill artists eg. chief keef embody the conditions being addressed in more ‘conscious’ work within the music itself. for example the beats are constructed to sound as voilent as possible, repetitivity turning into a hypnotic near-boredom and etc., reflecting the lifestyle and conditions that j. cole or kendrick address lyrically.
so there is more going on but its not lyrical (represented), but rather embodied (literal)
i forgot who said it and how exactly but ‘conscious’ rap panders to white expectations of black music and experience, rather than challenging those expectations
This is an interesting idea about the beats. I hadn't considered that before. Thanks for sharing, man 👍
Saw carti live with the guitar transitions and a live guitarist, awesome experience, reminded me of pink floyd
I genuinely want you to react to the original self-titled album, all three albums feel like completely different sounds and it would be interesting to see your reaction to it.
carti should use one of this guy's comments like "yeah this is playboi" for his artist tag
I feel like the Intro both Die lit and WLR set the tone of the albums , like WLR rock star made set the tone that the album will be full of rock star beats and him acting like one and Die lit is mostly how the fame makes him feel and feeling a new way since he has all this fame and money
so glad I saw the unedited version 😭
damn it got taken down again... you make it up so fast though
I very much enjoyed your interpretation of flatbed freestyle in particular!
Poppop you should check out Joey Bada$$. He’s lyrical and has really good bars. Tells some level of stories in his tracks too.
he should definitely do 1999, he would definitely enjoy that album
That album is on my list 👍
@@bobthepoppop I back this up, he was only 17 when he made 1999 and yet showed some of the greatest bars of all time
if you liked lil uzi's verse on shoota you'd fall in love with his albums and if you do decide to react to him, do a poll on which album you should react to since he has alot of albums and all his albums sound different
iss backkk
6:02 vibrating blurry keyboard is a perfect way to describe it. it somehow feels happy n sad at the same time it’s wild
Pierre Bourne 😈🏁produced the majority of this album, along with his verse being on "Right Now." He basically made this sound for Carti. He only produced 2 songs on WLR
Great re upload! sad how youtube took it down :(
keep it up! I enjoy your videos.
this is really cool, bobs open mind and music knowledge really engages me to hear his opinion and what he has to say. love playboi, love bob, W video
Here i am again, watching this video again, and will watch it again if youtube block it another time
To answer your questions on “fell in love” when carti says ‘she got her panties off, with no T” he simply means no t-shirt lol. & also when he says ‘ i put the doors up , she likes to show off’ he is referring to a super car he owns with doors that open vertically as most cars with that design are considered luxurious.
Not sure if you ever figured it out, but when he says “100,000 my price” he’s referring to the amount he charges for features
The biting references are a reference to the key physical traits that people who are under influence of molly portray. When on molly, people tend to bite down too hard when just casually standing around. Causing lockjaw at times
Bite down by french montana is a whole song about it
your my new fav RUclipsr this is genius, you have never heard any of cartis music until now but you just understand why people are so into his work. you adapt so fast and respect the great aspect of the songs. great work you should look into his leaked songs for reviews would be so dope
You should definelty do a reaction to playboi carti's performance at Rolling Loud NY 2021. It's more or less Whole Lotta Red but with the guitar intros and it really in my opinion shows what the album was and is made of.
It's unreal how someone can create content with opinions so reasonable that there is not 1 dislike to this video.
42:23 pretty sure its just a foreign car with butterfly doors which means the doors quite literally go up, unlike an actual car door which goes sideways
45:40 can we talk about his laugh who match perfectly with the song
I listened to this album in full while I painted once. My painting turned out well, and I remember really crediting this album for creative stimulation, and creating a mood. The energy of the album has an ebb and flow: loud & confident vs big sad & druggie.
this guy is just too cool n its fun seeing him react to ur fav artist
love how bro cracks up at any line about sex lmao
Bro these reactions are gold. Your definetly appealing to this audience . Keep doing reactions like this I could watch this all day! Lil uzi , Carti, etc!
I’d love to see you react and analyze The Weeknd’s Trilogy, more specifically the House Of Balloons mixtape. I know R&B isn’t your thing but The Weeknd made a whole new wave of the R&B sound and themes. It does go deep and I really would like to see you analyze and interpret that mixtape/album.
The whole Trilogy would be a good listen
Now you gotta visit the self tilted album and complete the trilogy of videos.
biting means “copying” basically “he’s biting my style” “he’s biting my flow”
the way he breaks down carti lyrics makes me think about it even more and haves me mine blown
i really like how open minded you are! keep up the great content
glad its back up bob
I have a great feeling you will enjoy his music!
dude I just love how you listen to all these. "Wob Whe Woppop" cause you're a W.
Although this album isn't well known I would be very glad if you reviewed Sean Leon's "I think you've gon mad or Sins of the father" project. I think he is very underrated and the project has a great story ://
Gonna listen to that right now
You're such a cool dude man, idk just something about you rambling on about the lyrics and beat and the things that you point out about them lets me look at an album i listened to countless times in a different light.
Mileage is one of the greatest feminist anthems of all time.
It really is. I'm gonna talk about it tomorrow on my additional thoughts 👍
at 46:00 with the comment that the keyboard is just a blur with the cities really makes sense
