You're not getting the effect of music spinning around your head and the Doppler effect of things coming at you and going through you!! I think you missed a lot of the effects with the shared headphones. Some of the instrumentation comes through one ear only, so one of you will have missed it.

Why are you sharing headphones. You need the stereo sound cuz pink floyd use a lot of panning from left to right or some instruments always on left channel some on right channel. You both missed out here/hear.
