Bingo... it's so rare to find a really informative comment these days. I've learned something with this one, I think you're right....Max knows how to adapt better to track caracteristics, even if going hot on entry speed is his default style, he changed here to make better use of this traction zones.
The Ferrari is fundamentally lacking cornering speed vs its rivals, so late braking is the best way to make that up whereas Max can afford to rely on peak downforce more throughout the whole corner.
Nice, great vid! This really shows how Max’s more squared turning into the corners allows him to exit with more speed, but also how Charles and Ferrari are so great in those low-speed corners. Subbed!
Hey guys newer here! I’ve got a question! Ferrari and leclerc are amazing in most of the quali I’ve recently seen. Obviously tyre management and pace are their major main problems! Almost had same racing line..only differed when LeClerc breaks much later then max..but max takes outerline and takes advantage of the red bull speed...this just shows how well the red bull has been dominant whole season...its not the drivers but car that makes the difference in such scenarios.
This is Verstappens driving style, he brakes earlier to shorten the corner and be able to accelerate earlier. It’s a hard thing to do because it needs a precise feeling of the moment you can accelerate. Yet when mastered his driving style produces the same or faster lap times without the risks the late breakers take, which results in the crashes Leclerc sometimes has.
Sorry what? I believe Leclerc is the GOTE but seriously you cannot discredit Max like this..... where is Perez? If Perez had regularly beaten Max to pole, then it would definitely be all down to the car. But Verstappen is an amazing talent that is only surpassed by the GOD of F1 Charles Leclerc.
That doesn’t show that at all. What it shows is two different lines. The Ferrari have had equal and some races better top speed and low drag than even Red Bull.
i am not discrediting max or saying farrari is a tractor...farrari has great straight line pace as we saw in vegas...and if you see the only little difference in racing line, when they both come out of corner and they both have different breaking and driving style...leclare has to break later to make up for the red bull coming out of corner with great balance and acceleration. I dont even want to bring perez in this scenario...he has clearly shown he is not the same level as these drivers. I do believe Max will still have an edge over leclerc if they had same car, the guy is just built for driving.
