This was an excellent video with detail instruction which I like. I have a two year old Zeno that I have not updated any firmware whatsoever. Recently, I flew the Zeno and without warning I got a “USB disconnected“ and the Zeno did a return to home. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest when I could not control the Zeno. Can you tell me why suddenly I would get a USB disconnect and never have had that problem before? Now when I connect the controller to my phone it automatically says USB cord disconnected. Can tell me how to correct this problem. Keep up the good work because you are greatly appreciated!!
I cannot say for certain. I usually buy a good aftermarket OTG cable for my Hubsan drones. Thank you!

Thanks a lot for your review. My Hubsan would not show any wifi signal when trying to connect it to the remote, I tried taking the SD Card out before starting the drone and it worked! Can finally connect it to the remote again.

Thank you! I am really enjoying the Zino. I also fly some DJI products, and this Zino is not at the level of sophistication. However it really is a great product, and is great fun to fly.
Nice video! I got a lot of information from it! One thing I noticed you had a problem with was when you were directly over head. If you make sure the side of your antennas are pointed at the drone it should solve the connection issue. I know it's funky to hold it more then straight up when it's over head but I do do that and haven't had any loss of connection. Thanks for the video!
I agree, the side of the antenna need to be pointed at the drone. Also I recognize that anytime to drone is directly above the controller, a solid connection will be problematic. Thank you for your very constructive comment I appreciate it!
I figured you already knew that, I was hoping it would be something simple. I love the zino but I think hubsan still has a few minor issues to iron out. However overall I think it's a great drone especially for the price and once hubsan resolves those minor issues it's going to be very hard to beat on the market!
@@Jeremy_Adams Yes, for the money it's amazing. I was able to get mine for $299 on their indiegogo campaign. Hubsan sent me an advance copy of the next firmware to beta test. I'm anxious to see how it changes the flight characteristics.

When your quad is directly overhead, you have virtually zero signal radiated and received form the quad and the controller. There is a "deep null" directly off the end of the antennas. You can't be in a worse position for signal reception :-)

I just received the Zino Pro which also happens to be my first drone. Right now I don't have an SD card but one is on order. Can I update the firmware now that was recommended when I went thru the set up tutorial? That message appeared on the controller screen and I couldn't get rid of it so I pressed the "back" button and it took me back to the tutorial and I went thru the whole process again with the same result.........thanks
I've never owned a Zino Pro so am not familiar with that process. I do know the original Zino did need an SD card for the update to work.

How do i fix Weak GPS signal on my zino pro

I’ve noticed the angle of your antennae is at about 45 degrees. I watched a fpv racing video suggesting to keep them at 90 degrees, with a v shape, then point your controller towards the drone so that the antennae are perpendicular to the drone. Nice video.

I agree, the Zino is legit. I still can't believe that I was able to get all of that technology for $299. Hubsan knocked it out of the park with this one.

Is it possible to have it record to the phone?
I believe you can save to your phone, however it is in much lower resolution. SD card gives the best result.

Thank you Shaun. The little Zino gets better with each new firmware release from Hubsan. It's a pretty solid drone now, and I feel comfortable recommending it.

Thank you! Yes, winter returned here too. It's currently snowing with temps in the 20s. It changes fast, I made that video in shirt sleeves less than a week ago.
What 4k player do you use to view recordings from zeno?
My monitor is only 1920 X 1080. I use the Windows 10 player.

It will not work without a U3 rated micro SD card formatted to FAT32.
Nice video Marcus. Could you do me a favour please. I had an accident two days ago with my Zino. I do not know how to show a preview video from my Zino App.
Could you make a video how to do this on your channel? If I needed it in the future. Because I can't find it anywhere and I see that you show it in every episode.
Thank you for your comment, and I am sorry you had an accident with your Zino. As for recording the app, it depends on what kind of smartphone you have. I use an iPhone Xs, and simply do a screen recording while I fly. I'm not sure how it works on other smartphones.

I was reading about this drone at another channel and they said you should not even need wifi enabled on the phone and the phone should not be connected to the drone comments?
Yes, many people turn off WiFi on their phone to avoid interference. The phone is connected to the controller via an OTG cable. The WiFi is from the controller to the drone.
I can't pair with my samsung J7 pro android phone but can pair with my friend apple phone easily, when the step for wifi zino appear it cant connect and ask for password? I can't find any password in box. any advice to solve it.
The Zino connects to your phone via an OTG cable not WiFi. 👍

This was a long time ago. It was FC V1.0.47
LOL... 3:07 ... But as you pointed out... when you do several things differently you are guessing at which one really helps. I use a 64GB card and feel it might be to big . I will probably look for a good 16GB or 32. I know it doesn't need a 100Mbs card so any Class 10 will do. Thanks again... this one got the wheels turning. :D
I was hoping you would see that. 😎 Yes, the 8GB card I used was just a class 10, and it worked fine. I feel a lot better about the Zino after this last flight.

@@IdahoQuadcopter : I look forward to your videos and opinions. I take what I can from them and try and relate them to Android. I had a feeling from the start that my 64GB card was too big. I think 16 would be ideal. The Zino only formats in Fat32 as well. I placed an exFat card in and it did not recognize it and reformatted it. I always turn WiFi Off on the phone as well. I have not yet had any drop offs and my range has been very good in comparison with other drones. BTW... whatever you do... Do Not try and Hand Launch the Zino... It loses all Compass headings and the GPS gets scrambled... I just tried it earlier... I got it launched but had a very difficult time trying to get it under control to land... I had to do the Compass Cals 2 more times and the GPS tests before the craft was back to being stable. I thnk I will keep my 64GB 100Mbs exFAT card for my FIMI X8 SE coming soon :) Keep up the straight forward reviews... Love em.
@@GorillamansGarage Yes, I should have mentioned formatting to FAT32 in my video. I think you're on the right track with a 16GB card, although I saw a post where the fellow said he switched to a 128GB card and it solved all of his problems. Who knows?
Hey, great minds think alike, I have a Fimi X8 on order too. I was able to use a discount code, and paid $440 US for it. Who knows when they will ship though? The Fimi looks promising, we'll see if it lives up to what the say it will do.
@@IdahoQuadcopter : My Zino order was 8931 and took 2 months to ship. I ordered the X8 Dec.10 (#215) so fingers crossed it gets here before Spring :D My biggest concern with my Zino is the FC Stability control... Its like a Halting Stallion at low altitudes.Now if you could put the Zino Camera on a Bebop Power... You would have something... I tell ya... That Bebop... I'd fly that in a hurricane. :)
Hey man great video. I’m wondering how often you fly your Zino and if you have gotten a new Zino over your 8-9 months of flying bc the motors broke or something like that.

Thank you! No problems with mine. I received mine in December last year, and have flown it several times per month since then.
At the 24 minute point you say that the FC firmware will look on the SD card for the Camera firmware. Are you saying to put the SD card with Camera firmware in the drone and leave it in while you are updating the FC???
No the micro SD card with the camera firmware is only used for loading the new software then removed. I use a separate U3 rated micro SD card for 4K video recording.

Hi Don. The update files are on Hubsan's website. There are three separate updates for the flight control, the gimbal, and the camera. They also have a video with instructions on how to update.

I usually get 20 minutes out of a battery.
I’m having a issue with my Zino the aircraft won’t connect every time I power on the Zino it comes on but the camera doesn’t flip out any advice I tried contacting Hubsan there self through email and phone but no one never picks up and responds please help me
I have not encountered that before. I sure sounds like a bad gimbal cable. I know you said you already have, but the only advice I can give is to contact service@hubsan.com.
I inserted a new 32gb class 10 sd card and it tells me memory to low to record when I'm trying to record 4k video.Can you help
You will need a U3 rated card. Don't forget to format to Fat32. 👍
Mine is updated to the latest firmware. My drone alot of times while flying says aircraft disconnected. I literally have a mini heart attack everytime I fly it. Any suggestions? Another question. The screen interface on the phone, anyway to get that to the actual resolution? Thanks again!
The Zino is very sensitive to having a fast U3 micro SD card formatted to FAT32. I would start there. The FPV on your phone will never be the 4K you can get from what the Zino records to the SD card. I'm pretty sure FPV is 720Pp.

It is much more reliable now than it was a few months back. The Zino is not as stable as some drones, but it very cost effective.
