Hey, we are back! So enjoy this video about VF cause I like VF very much. So lots to talk about about the hack stuff, I will make another video later today but I need to shave and not look like death cause to be all the way real last few days ive been a complete wreck. Anyways enjoy the vid. Like and comment away because I gotta work my way back into the algorithm after all that nonsense and I just wanna say thank you so much for the support in this trying time, I love you guys
I would love to see Silat, Eskrima, or Kalaripayattu. Tekken always had their fantastical characters but recently if feels like the authentic martial arts aspect has been left behind.
For me the biggest hurdle to getting into Virtua Fighter has been how bland the modes are. I know a lot of fgc people think all that matters is online play, but trust me, there are lots of casuals like me that want stuff like story mode and other stuff to do other than just play matches online. I’m really hoping VF6 gets with the times and packs it with stuff to do.
Well kumite/quest from vf4 is returning for 6 from the leaks, and to me that was the definitive single player mode of all time in fighting games. That and actual story being added so the single player content should hopefully be bright
I'm 45 and I've been a VF player since ~1993 in the arcade days. Even went for the SEGA Saturn instead of the PS(1) because of VF2, back in 1995... Love the channel, the insights and the small details. Mr Monger, if ever having the opportunity, I'd face you off in VF6. Kudos to you man!
Yes this was what immediately stood out to me. The blocking/defense animations made the fighting look cinematic. The programming for this game is really interesting.
I got a feeling VF6 is going to be the SF4 of Virtua Fighter. It’s going to be the biggest VF and bring tons of new players. RGG has made some of the finest games of the past 10 years so VF is in good hands. VF’s presentation and overall vibe was always lacking. So, Akira’s new look is the step in the right direction. It’s the best redesign I’ve ever seen in a fighting game.
I'm glad you got your channel back, I was worried when I heard the news and didn't know what to do. Good to see the higher ups take care of something for once. You're a treasured resource!
I think a unique advantage VF6 has is the project being headed by two teams, and one of them being RGG studios. With the right budget, RGG could easily create a fleshed out singleplayer mode from their expertise. You could include tons of minigames, funny substories in the open world, and other stuff. I could even envision a Yakuza character being part of the main roster.
I was thinking that too. The footage looks almost like a world tour type mode where the stage is just DA STREET and if anyone could easily do that its RGG.
I really like the fact that in their games every task has something gamified about it. For example traversal, my most hated part about open world games, well in Lost Judgement I have a skateboard mini game everywhere I go if I want. I never feel bored, and I never feel that they forgot that this was a video game even during serious story beats. Hope that kind of stuff transfers over into VF6 and the inevitable 8 follow up releases.
5:28 Stella might be the Dural 2.0, she was developed using the info gatered from Sarah. Sega also announced something about Virtua Fighter anime, so there is part of the plot behind VF6.
@@Maver1ck101 right. People think just cause man is wearing a coolie outfit he's now Bruce Lee's Sifu. Baji and Wing Chun couldn't be any more different 🤔

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion most likely. But I loved the stages in DoA. Uneven surfaces, different footing for slippery surfaces. It never felt overwhelming, but it made the stages and positioning feel so much more impactful. It wasn't just get someone in a corner or against a wall. I've never played much Virtua Fighter, but I really hope the stages have a similar level of effect on the fight.
Akira is wearing a Chinese outfit, and you can see the references to the IP Man film the “The Grandmaster” from 2012. The blocking animations is something I wanted to see in a very longtime. Once again SEGA is leading the way.
Need to give some props to Konami's Kensei Sacred Fist, they had blocking animations like that, was really cool to see back in 1998 amongst all the VF/Tekken clones.
Dude thats insane timing... when they announced the game that you like the most you went down! I ran to your channel to see what you had to say about it and I couldnt find you! I am glad you are back!
I hope we get a grounded martial arts fighting game without ex meter, supers, ultimates, wacky out of place guest characters, etc. I'm so ready to just play a classic martial arts 3d beat em up without anime maximum power level bullshit, chainsaw robots, burning sword wielding super humans that summons highrise size demons as an ultimate attack. Love how the VF6 stage reminds me of Tekken 4. I hope we get alot of these natural everyday area stages instead of the usual flat box stages we get in every game nowdays.
now do remember though that VF is inherently a very silly franchise. You can have El Blaze dance with Moraccas and the samba del amigo monkey pops out of them. Shun di can ride around a tiny toy train tooting the horn. Its more "real" than some, but its hardly realistic.
@Rooflemonger That's fine. Always been a Tekken guy, but. I used to play VF4 Evo on PS2 alot back in the day. As long as it doesn't have all the crap that was introduced in Tekken 6-8. I watched that Tekken 8 Clive reveal and was like "This isn't Tekken anymore".
I would be ready to expect guest characters, but to have them be more grounded and less flashy than they’d be appearing in another game. Kazuma Kiryu is almost a given; it’s free co-promotional PR for a franchise Sega owns.
