Same here. CEO making a lot of promises , their current lineup is good enough problem is production. We have a maverick hybrid on order for my father and an F350 for my self. Hybrid maverick may not materialize this year. Production hurdles do seem to be an industry wide issue so it's not ford specific. Overall I'm still positive on Ford since they're making desirable vehicles.

I drive GMC and a friend of mine bought a brand new GMC 2500 and his rear end went out, it is still sitting at the dealership waiting to be repaired 9 months later. He finally said eff it and went and bought him a Ford SD. At least he is back at work. I am ready to trade my GMC 2500 but it runs perfectly with 96000 miles on it but dang with all the troubles as you said with the new ones don't know if I want to trade or not. There is a BIG difference between the F450 and F350 Dually. TC customs saying to buy a F350 dually and then get the bigger wheels through them, but that's not what sets the 2 trucks apart. F450s have huge front and rear brakes, much larger than the 350 Dually(which in fact has the same size brakes as a 350 single. Second, one of the things I love about my 19 F450 is the wide track front axle that gives my truck the turning radius of an F150. You get a 350 Dually and you won't have those advantages.

Yeah, anyone can throw aftermarket parts on a stripped Super Duty, but who wants a Frankenstein unit with warranty issues from six different MFG’s along with the questionable labor to replace those failed items? Plus, the probability of Ford denying warranty claims due to said aftermarket modifications. Resale value, or lack thereof, of a Frankie unit is another factor as well as a higher initial cost, which doubles the losses by going the Frankie route. When I invest close to $100K for a factory ordered unit, (as I have done with vehicles, boats and motorhome’s for decades) I don’t mind waiting for exactly what I want. Not to mention, a much better negotiated deal in the first place. Patience truly is a virtue. Let the kids go for the instant gratification route.

EDIT: Does the Dana 60 front differential actually contain an actual Torsen traction device worm gears...or...a standard Limited Slip with clutches that wear out after X or Y number of miles? I don't want to get into the Ford vs GM debate, let's all be real, Ford, RAM and GM all build awesome HD trucks that will do the work. What I can't figure out is why GM can build what you want but Ford is still struggling with constraints. The problem with adding aftermarket parts by the dealer, is that it is NOT covered by FORD. Meaning if you MOVE or Travel and have what would otherwise be warranty related issues, it will NOT be covered by other Ford dealerships. This happened to me on my Bronco Sport when I had my dealer install the 2” lift. I was traveling and I had an issue. FORD would not cover the warranty.
So be careful about adding aftermarket parts, some will even void the warranty. If it’s possible to get it from FORD do so for warranty reasons. Especially if you will end up moving, or do a lot of traveling.

What about warranty service? They made the Bronco with intentions of 3rd party aftermarket support of extras. I doubt they will go that route as well. Because if I can’t order with certain things done from the factory with factory warranty then I don’t want that option. Some options are best installed from factory.

I ordered a 2023 F350 Lariat Tremor with the High Output diesel and 5th wheel package and the sport appearance package in February and Ford confirmed they have my order and it will be built as will ALL the special orders that they accepted. So it appears you are using scare tactics to move inventory. This is just ANOTHER reason I hope Ford is able to sell directly to customers like Tesla does. I know the lobbying history of dealers and politicians and the history of Ford corporate and dealers however since all the price gouging and dealers stealing, YES stealing money from consumers things will be changing……and NOT soon enough !

They reordered as a 2023 in 2022, and still hasn’t been built. It’s a Platinum 6.7L with spray in bed liner and panoramic sunroof. I’m glad I have my 2019 (purchased used cause we needed a truck immediately at the time), but it’s been modded and tuned and didn’t come with a warranty, and was always only a short term solution.

Got it... Buy a Ram instead & get what you need & want..... btw, there's a big difference between the F350 & 450/550 platforms... just swapping wheels & tires isn't gonna cut it if it's actually gonna need to work. Btw, the F450 pickup.. IS NOT the same truck as an F450 chassis cab... the frames are different as well as other key structural items... if you need a work truck... do your research & understand the differences.

Moonroofs are way overrated.......seldom used and nothing but future high probability of developing problems...tracking, leaks, replacing seals, heats up the cab during hot weather, expensive broken glass, etc. I have had moonroofs in other vehicles...rarely used. I will never order that option again! In the past, virtually impossible to find a Lariat with the Ultimate Package, King Ranch or Platinum in dealer inventory without a Moonroof. All the special orders...lots of guys did not order the Power Moonroof for the reasons listed above.
In addition, glad I ordered my 2022 F350 Lariat with the "Carpet Delete" option...mainly because I live in a remote scenic area with mud and snow. The Carpet Delete option was popular on special order Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trucks...and virtually impossible to find one of those trim levels without carpet on a dealer lot.

Just as with Tesla did with the model 3, Musk needed cash so he only built the top of the line models at first, instead by of the $39K models that most people reserved. Other MFG’s have done similar things with hot vehicles. Shouldn’t be a surprise. Jeep did the same thing with the Gladiator. They’ll start producing the base models at some point, like when the excitement wears down some. Unfortunately it’s the nature of the beast. Everybody wants one and they want it now to be part of the “in” crowd. Local dealers have had a steady inventory of the Escape based Sport model and they have had quite a few of the loaded Larger ones show up and become available when the people that ordered them cancelled their sale. Same with the Super Duty’s. Quite a few on the lots in various levels and that includes Tremors. While I was waiting for my Tremor to be serviced at the Quick Land I walked the lot and they had three. Two diesels and a gasser. All Lariats. No added markup. One SoCal dealers ad has Tremors at $1,000 off MSRP and another at $3K off MSRP. Days of the added markup are over. Lots of cancelled orders are on the lots. It’s all about the timing. Right place, right time.

As nice as this salesman seems to be remember he is still a car salesman. And that is not what Ford said, Ford said that 10 percent of super duties built will be Tremors and the same for all the other trucks and options. This is why there is a job 1 and job 2 along with cutoff dates for orders once they have reached said number of orders in relation to the total amount of super duties projected to be built. If your order is in than you will get your truck with the options you asked for. Don’t let these sleeze balls rain on your parade or scare you into buying out of inventory or ordering a truck that you really did not want just because it will arrive quicker and then they tell you that their custom shop can “make” you a Tremor like truck. It’s only about what will make them the most money, they are not a friend.

Especially one on an off-road specialty Suer Duty. When I ordered my fully loaded Tremor I left off the roof and added the carpet delete. Dealer said I was crazy for doing that on an upscale fully loaded truck. I told him it’s an off-road truck and more importantly, it’s MY TRUCK. Build it the way I want it. Now, MOST buyers are doing the same thing. Those large glass roof’s don’t do well with the flexing that occurs in off road situations and leaks, rattles and even cracks are not uncommon. But folks wishing they didn’t pay $1,500 for that feature are certainly regretting it. And even funnier, the dealer is stocking Lariat Tremors with the carpet delete! 😂

Not towing frequently anymore, but still needed a Class 2 (F250) or Class 3 (F350) truck.
The diesel engines need to work...need to tow heavy loads. So many guys buy the diesel, yet never USE it much for the intended purpose. All the emission systems on diesels nowadays.....not good for long term ownership...will be expensive. The 7.3L gas engine in my 2022 F350 Lariat Tremor is a beast of an engine.
