- Ryan was fortunate. With his last 28ft tiny house on wheels he managed to pull it just out of the way of the wildfires which swept through California in 2017. That experience really got him thinking about the design of his home though and he decided to build something more compact which was more easily moved.

His first tiny house on wheels was an absolute dream. You can see a full video tour of that home here: • Exquisitely Handcrafte...
It's quite common for people to build smaller when they construct a second tiny house. The smaller the home, the easier they are to tow and the easier they are to find parking spaces for.

Just like his first tiny house on wheels, this one is exceptionally well constructed. Every inch of this home is a celebration of craftsmanship and sustainable sourcing of materials, making this build a true artesian eco tiny home.

This video was filmed a couple of months ago. It’s so sad to see the wildfires now once again sweeping through California and their devastating effects. Thankfully Ryan and his tiny house are both safe and well. My heart goes out to all those who have been affected.
Thank you for leaving this comment as I was about to ask if you had been able to reach him. I'm so glad he & his home are both alive & well. 😊
NICE DOGGG
Thanks for the update... I was sitting here wondering... After a couple videos, sorta being in his homes and a bit of his life, it's like we know the guy... Glad to know he's alright
the fires are terrible but highlight other favourable reasons to having a tiny home you can move it away or if the worse happens at least rebuilding is not such a devastating prospect and would feel doable.
@@HelenBeeee Could someone tell me what actually causes those wild fires in that part of the world and I wonder why America could not stop it.My heart goes to every single victims. May God always be with them.
So he went from a tiny house to a more smaller house. Makes me realize how much space we waste and how much impact we leave on the environment. All these people who build and live in these tiny house are so inspiring.
Absolutely. This is a very compact house, but thanks to some really good design it works very well. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Think how small an amount of land we would use if most people loved like this
@sophia pinella
Its true, youre not really supposed to wear and tear with age. If you keep fit and healthy and detox well enough, you should be agile until your final days.
Only bad diet and toxin buildup within the body will make you frail with age.
know it is enough that is enough :)
PocketFullOf Sunshine: I love how this trend is like the antithesis to the oversized, and over-valued upper-middle class suburban "McMansions" that were the vogue before and since the real estate collapse a decade ago that led to the Great Recession.
Can you do a tiny house nerd video series where you get into the technical details like type of insulation, framing, trailer and the measurements of the spaces
That's a good idea!
spray foam would be a good insulator for a tiny home.
I've been wanting to ask this too. You have all the visual materials in your videos. But it would be easy to find for example several heating options, several examples of a lay out all in the same overall dimensions, the toilet optilns, and so on.
*barf245* yes it would be a good insulator, while it is a nightmare environmentalwise.
I too would like to know about the construction.
Every time he says “we” he means his dog. ❤️✌🏻 I’m in love. Yoga too? The perfect man does exist.
Omg, you're adorable!! I hope you found your Prince Charming. Mine would have to ADORE Dogs too!👍🏻😄🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
That dog is magnificent.
They all are.
@@Endvvell He looks like a Swiss Shepherd.
Utkan Aktaş Love that dog; it looks like a twin to my late Tatze . He was a Husky-wolf-Samoyed mix with golden eyes.
I had a dog that looks just like his. Canadians walked up laughing and said " see you've got a Canadian Shepard " I was curious... What is a Canadian Shepard? They said Wolf cross with husky...my dog turned gold eyes to them and reverted to his wolf behavior...2 days of us telling him he was a puppy dog...poochie... Before he came back to being more dog. He was amazing!! Difficult especially biting to show affection....but over his long life he was a Wonderful Respected and Adored family! Now your description maybe what he was? Was your dog amazing?
Asha chiffre9 under the sleeping loft is essentially a massive mattress/ seating area that looks bigger than a twin/ single mattress- more like a double- that dog has a luxurious bed to lie in!
Since I live in San Francisco, I can’t stop watching these beautiful tiny houses. It became my dream to have one in the future.
You and me both...Lower PacHeights here. One of these days I'd love to have a lot in the city to place a tiny home for under 7 digits.
Too true. About 3 years ago there was a $150K slice of a lot on raw, sloping land on 19th at an Alemany off ramp by Parkmerced. The lot development requirements were too $$$$, but it's probably just as well considering the foot traffic and graffiti on so many fences :/
I knew I couldn't be the only one. :D I'm always on the lookout for any announcements about trying to start a tiny enclave in or near SF.
Been living in a small one bedroom apartment with two toddlers and rent just going crazy! Who wouldn’t want to have one these beautiful houses...? More luxurious and save a tons of money 😊
Chris L I couldn’t agree more! I wish it will become legal someday..
My Uncle and his wife lost his home a few days ago in the Magalia/Paradise Fire. So did his adult daughters and their families, but they are all safe. This would be a great option.
I'm glad to hear that they are all safe, but how tragic that they have lost their home. Pass my best wishes onto them please.
Anuhea Kamahana They are all safe❤️
I have several friends who lost their homes too. It's so tragic. We are thankful for all the help from other states, sending first responders. I am sorry for your uncle and aunt's loss. I hope they will be safe and are able to recover from this.
Myself an my family live in the uk an don’t have to deal with fire like that my heart goes out to all of u who have lost family homes in these dreadful fires
Anuhea Kamahana So sorry they lost their homes, but glad they’re safe. I hope you and your family find a way to make your tiny house dreams come true!
He seems like a very gentle person. He's done a brilliant job with the house too.
Bloody hell, it is tiny but so cute and with such a cosy feeling. Having it on wheels and literally "escaping for preservation" rather than wandering around, brings a whole new dimension to the concept
It sure does. There are so many reasons to go for smaller and more mobile tiny homes.
EEEEEEK!!!! I ♥️ this so much! Every bit of it. And also the “we” is him and his cutie pupperoni🤗
Also, pupper = heater for the winter! lol
How do you pronounce "EEEEK"?
Klapp Stuhl what language is that? i like it!
This is probably the most remarkable tiny house I've ever seen. Within the size of a tool shed, he managed to fit in every amenity that a person needs. Extraordinary.
Ryan's first tiny house is one of the most beautiful tiny spaces I've ever seen. I would LOVE to live in it. I'm so glad the house remains and he's created another beautiful space that suits him better.
I love how he was able to save his former house because it was transportable. ❤️
That dog will love him more, and more honesty, than any human who values materialism.
Dogs loves no matter what. Rich poor, healthy, sick. Unlike you who value some things over others
That dog will love whomever feeds and houses it regardless of any other secondary factor.
Rusty Shackleford, Almost clever.
@@da324 Not clever, literal. Materialism is the love and conscious use of material. If you have an old, classic sweater that you love to use and feel, that is the enjoyment of material. If you own a guitar and love the feeling of the wood and the excellence of its design, that is being a materialist. If you buy a Gucci bag because of the status that you think you will gain, status which is purely abstract, that is fake materialism. That seems to be what is often said to be materialism, but it is not. It is a common misconception. In other words, these tiny house owners are TRUE materialists. They enjoy the material for what it IS, not for what it represents. Peace and Love from Los Angeles.
Oh duh. If you value life, you are a material being and you too are a materialist, it's not like you have a choice.
PLEASE, NEVER STOP MAKING VIDEOS.
This is the best channel to brighten up my day and teach me new things.
Keep the positive energy!
Have an amazing week ^_^
Ryan has a nice relaxed vibe and a beautiful dog! Love both his tiny houses..
Such a beautiful tiny home! Those shingles!! I’ve always wanted a tiny/small house but not on wheels because I feel that adds on a lot of other things to consider (weight, parking space, moving) but the ability to move your house away from dangers like a fire is such a great thing to have. Really makes me want to consider it again.
Absolutely. The ability to move your home out of harms way when needed is very valuable, but even just the fact that it's easier to find parking for is really important. Opens up a lot of options!
Ryan: We - me and my dog that is... *looks longingly at Bryce*
Me: I feel ya, dude, I feel ya. ;)
Totally agreed . Ryan seems to know that his dog is the real companion and the most loving .
You know he, most likely, smashes plenty, enough. xD
@@ThErElOaDeR99 - The dog? I sure hope not, poor dog! JK.. 😁
Y'all be fucking y'all dogs😷😷😷
Wait, did he have a human companion before?
WOW, Ryan's wood work game is off the chain. Such a gorgeous tiny house. Thanks again Bryce for an awesome video!!!
I like the way how it looks like. The furnishings, antique-looked and the designed of course. Simple yet very classy and elegant. Bravo 👏🏼 Ryan.
Gorgeous dog, perfect porch, wonderful wood, clever cabinetry and the ever important - guitar!!!!!! Love it!! Emily Liberty
It is so interesting to follow someone's tiny house journey. Rayan seems like a really cool guys who si very much happy in his beautiful home and it is inspiring to be reminded how much we really need.
I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now, Bryce, and I gotta say this is one of the best tiny houses I've seen, yet. It's kept the original spirit of tiny homes, instead of maxing out width and length; there's a lot of beautiful reclaimed materials, and it's so efficient in terms of space. Awesome. It's starting to make me think ours is a little too big, but we're almost finished so it's a bit late for that. For a man and his dog, this thing is perfect!
I love this! I remember his old video from his tiny home last year because of the bath tub! I love how even smaller and more efficient this house is! While watching the video, it made me reflect on how I have too many things and am continuously donating, reorganizing, and minimizing.
Bryce, I have watched many of your interviews. You are an excellent interviewer, a great listener and always trying to encourage the people you interview with positive words. As the Aussies would say “good onya!” 👍🏻
that's so gorgeous that all through the interview, as he referred to "we" he was referring to himself and his sweet dog .. love that
That DOOOOOG!! WoW, what a SOUL! I had to say that first. I wouldn't swap a life like that for a Mansion in million years. Astonishingly clever and beautiful.
This *HAS* to be the greatest Tiny House I have ever seen. Congratulations to the builder. Remarkable!
This really is a beautifully and well designed TINY house! To have a home ON wheels - to escape an impending disaster - makes all the sense in the world to me. Ryan is an amazingly talented young man. Bryce - you did it again - you hit this one out of the stadium - awesome job my friend. Take care ;)
I'm so glad Ryan made it through safely. Also, his design is amazing. He did so much with so little space.
As for Tiny Houses and escaping disasters, I hope we don't get too many on the road. In a raging wildfire, I would not want to see them jackknifed and blocking cars on a narrow road.
I'm not going to say anything about his loft window being too small to escape from in case of a kitchen fire.
Actually, if I needed something built and lived near him, I would contact him. Overall, his place looks great. He even included an exterior light over the hitch area, and his design has character. I love the port hole window.
Glad he made it safely out of the fire but the house is not really impressive
I know i'm addicted to this channel when Bryce visits someone he already met and i perfectly remember them lol
I love the style of wood Ryan chose to use on the inside because it really lightens it up nicely! Beautiful craftsmanship Tiny home! And such a lovely counter for cooking! And a tiny wood burning stove is so cozy looking.👍👍👍👍
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching! :)
We really like everything about this tiny house. We feel he is so talented when it comes to utilizing the space. Job well done thanks Bryce for sharing his story
Ryan looks like such a calm, lovely guy. He is well on his way to achieving real spiritual harmony by his actions of being able to live a simple beautiful life without the shackles of material possessions, baggage etc in a small space that meets a person's basic needs & keeps him safe. What a life!! And a cute dog in tow. 🐕
I enjoy your videos brother. My goal is to live in a tiny house in a sustainable farm.
A fan from Saudi Arabia
Thanks so much! That's a fantastic goal to have. I wish you all the best with your journey. :)
👋
This is so apropos with the tragic fires still burning here in California 💔 i really hope that California learns from this and green lights more tiny homes as a good solution for rebuilding more disaster resistant communities. It’s a double edged sword though, because part of why these fires started in the first place is more human interface in rural wooded areas full of “fuel”- so it really underscores the need to legalize, AND regulate tiny home building, so people can implement this solution, and also to keep tiny homes safe with good standards to build to.
The thought and soul he put into his house is quite touching. Very lovely person and home. ❤️
I really hope he's still doing these tiny house videos when I finally get to make my tiny house
Of all the Tiny Home channels I watch, this is by far my favorite. Bryce is so kind and respectful, the homes are so inspiring. Everything from $100,000 homes to $12 homes. It makes you think, and ultimately realize, this lifestyle isn't out of reach
😂 "That fire...is ridiculously cute." So great! You're awesome, Bryce.😃
Ryan, this is my favorite tiny home of all time! You did a great job building!
The redwood trim on white pine is so nice
Interesting fact about going smaller for people that do second builds!
Cheers, Patrick
Yeah, it's definitely interesting. I'm sure that some tiny house people out there do end up building larger homes, but most who I have met would build smaller to increase mobility.
Oh how I wish I could own a tiny house someday. Everything looks perfect!
AHHH RYAN!!! THIS GUY'S LAST BUILD WAS AN INSPIRATION BEYOND WORDS!
So happy to see him thriving and featured on LBTH again, this dude is an internet legend
This guy's woodworking skills are wonderful. I really like the craftmanship of this home, and the reuse of materials. Well done.
Really enjoyed watching this one. He is so very relaxed and chilled and his skill with building and wood, just wow.
This house (with a few minor tweaks) is LITERALLY my dream home. I love the way he used his space to give him everything he needed without wasting any space or making it feel to cramped. Also the outside is literally goals. Props to you!
Ryan epitomizes the chill factor.
💗 the tiny fireplace!
Anyone know the name of the woodburner and where to buy it?
@@NoOneButRonPaul its from Navigator Stove Works.
I'm going through a similar situation in the downsizing from an already tiny house. I live in a 26' converted school bus and I find it to be too big for my needs. I do NOT like driving the bus, so the mobility aspect is really only to be able to move it to another semi-permanent location, where I would like to be able to move my home comfortably on a more regular basis if so desired. I have been really looking into 13' Scamps and other fiberglass campers of that size so that it is light enough to pull with my 4 cylinder 4Runner. In the meantime, I have converted my 4Runner into a micro dwelling for car-camping out in the National Forests and BLM. Great video Bryce, I really love his home.
Cheers Ryan! And yeah, some of those large busses look pretty hard to drive and get around in. Certainly if you're on the move a lot it can be more convenient to go smaller.
@@livingbig Agreed. The length of mine isn't so bad, as much as the width. Being 8' wide (without counting the mirrors!), it can be nerve wracking to drive in anything but oversized lanes. Mine is on a box truck chassis, but I think if it was the Econoline or similar van chassis, it wouldn't be as bad.
This tiny house is so beautiful! This guy is so talented and so zen. Definitely one of my favorites. The smaller the better.
A copy of the old Handmade Houses! One of my faves, still have a first printing copy. It got me going! That, and remembering old Gypsy wagons from my country childhood. Love this little cabin.
Great ideas , full point. I think this is the best choice for a tiny house. Clean , organized, a place for everything. Comfort !!! Perfect. !!!
Just another stunner Bryce!! So glad Ryan made it out safe from the last wildfire. My heart is heavy for those suffering now and I pray for all to be safe.
My heart, prayers & thoughts go out to everyone who’s currently affected by the fires in CA it’s beyond frightening.
I’m so happy he was able to save his home from the California fires 😊
A beautiful and practical solution to the issues we face living in the state of California!
Love it. Ryan has so many great ideas ... thanks for sharing with us, Bryce!
I just watched the first video 2 days ago so it is very fresh in my mind. The new one looks great. And being able to take it the beach in the summer is awesome. I really like the light pine choice with the darker trim. It keep it looking brighter. Nice job Ryan. And good luck with any other fires.
lmao omg that little wood stove. its so cute! must be nice being able to warm your whole house with a few toothpicks! lol
Lol
Gracias por hacer estos vídeos. Son excelentes en todo sentido. Tenés uno de los mejores canales de RUclips. Saludos!
Wow, such a totally different house than the first one he built! Very beautiful, very minimal.
Ryan is a very talented man. I saw his first home that house was beautifulm thìs house is gorgeous! ❤🐾
I absolutely love the shingle siding, the contrast between the light and dark wood in the interior and that little porch is perfect! Thanks for this video!

Who else is binge watching? Love this stuff, really inspiring and love the host.
Can't get enough! Not just the approach of the entire process ..which is amazing.. this music which comes at the start is so calming.. I feel so happy.
That dog hit the lotto in the canine world. Couldn't ask for a more chill companion than Ryan.

Wow,I'm so impressed with this tiny house with all the unique features of this house and the wood is beautiful congratulations Ryan you did a wonderful job on this home. Best of luck I'm sorry for the problems you had with the fires God bless everybody there.
I only saw that other video of Ryan's bigger tiny house the other day, so it was funny and interesting to see him now in an even smaller one.
Really small, but so cosy, love it!
This tiny house is so cool! I love how he has to jump up on the counter to get to his bed in the loft! So creative and fun
My god, so cool to see a really tiny one like this. Im all in with the applause for the woodworking, super great finish and build. Thank you again for another great episode! Take care and lots of love
With this psychotic year of 2020 all over the planet, tiny house living is even more enticing. Makes it easy to quickly leave an area, relocate, isolate, and not have lost your home. Beautiful craftsmanship and smartly planned.
I like Ryan's humbleness and his dog
Love this guys designs. The last one was great, and I love this one even more
This is such a beautiful tiny home 😍 The wood is stunning, such rich colours and that stove is microscopic when you see his hand next to it! Absolutely beautiful home and created with such love 💖💖
This is one of my favorite Tiny Houses that you have shown. Beautiful woodworking!

That’s beautiful. Great choices on the wood interior colors. Gah ☺️👏🏼💕
Going smaller from small is such an incredible journey and an achievement, all at the same time. Loved this video!!
I have only just started to relook at your all your videos as Rasa would while filming. Kudis to the lady for such a great job at filming and editing them. Some of the swipes are from pretty tight corners in such tiny layouts. Every small detail has been captured so beautifully.☺☺
One of my favourites. Thanks for sharing boys, and doggo. ☺️👍
Am I the only one who's sick with envy when I watch this show!?
YOU HAD ME AT THE T.V. and Porch! Love that size too. I don't have "people over" so this is a good size and look :)
This guy is a master builder. The last tiny house he built was oh so beautiful.
Simply inspiring..both the humble character & beautiful tiny house! loving every single piece of items..such great taste.
Great video and interview. Prayers to all the people affected by the fires. Been enjoying your channel for a long time now. Great work my friend. 🤙👍
Bryce, I love your videos. They are the best interviews and tours on social media. You are professional, engaging and provide excellent videography. Thanks!
I love that you go back and visit with people years on. It always seems that people are just moving in but not many are long termers. Love this new design! His last one was so large but seemed to have a lot of unused space for sure.
I LOVEd his 1st one! Soo cool, but love this one too😆. Thx Bryce!
You are doing a great job , really inspirational to see . God bless and hope this family grows bigger and bigger !
