- We built a brand new tiny house! This tiny home is designed as an off-grid travel model tiny home perfect for digital nomads and modern life on the road. This new tiny house will be our home on the road as we travel New Zealand. Completely off the grid and solar powered, our home is designed to be on the move and function anywhere. It’s a true travel model tiny house designed with digital nomads like us in mind!
Our tiny house has been created to show off what the new Ecoflow Power Kits can do. In my opinion, these power kits are going to be a game changer for anyone looking for a simple but effective off-grid set-up for a tiny house, cabin, caravan or anything of the sort. When it comes to off grid set-ups, it’s about as plug and play as it gets and in this video we walk you through the system and the whole array of things it’s been able to power in our home.
At only 5 x 2.5 meters, this single level tiny house is ultra compact but packs a heck of a punch! There is a tremendous amount of clever design ideas which have been crammed into this little package which puts this tiny house in a league of its own.
This tiny house has been designed in collaboration with and built by the incredible team at Cocoon Tiny Homes, with cabinetry and interior fit-out by the ever talented Variant Spaces team.

I wish I could tell you better news Bryce....but Vancouver and all regions are still absolutely a nightmare for tiny homes being accepted. Land value is beyond anything and the all the various city hall politicians just are not even opening their minds up to such. Advocacy and educations within its truest form is greatly needed here in relation to tiny homes. I’m always so excited when Bryce unveils a new project because I know it will be different from anything else, beautifully considered, and executed at the highest level. This did not disappoint! This is the culmination of every tiny home he’s taken us to and is a marvelous result. Congrats, Bryce and Rasa!
When the video started and I saw the size of the house from the OUTSIDE, I thought "meh, Bryce could do better". I couldn't be more wrong, when I saw inside, I was like "Dude, this is a freaking Harry Potter tent!!!" Nailed it!

I have land in the Bay of Islands and we are looking at developing the land for possible tiny homes, well this is an option we have discussed anyway.

I love the shape of this house, and the size (for traveling). Great use of space and quite clever overall. Beautifully executed. Things I'm not too crazy about are 1) the black exterior, which will suck heat into the house and would seem to negate the insulation, and 2) all the black and grey inside, which to me makes the modern styling look soulless and not homey. I get it that Brice loves this look and it's always up to individual choices, but the decor doesn't appeal to me at all. Kind of feels like one of those claustrophobic Japanese pod sleeping spaces. I would love to see this shape of home with maybe a soft green exterior metal and the natural wood, and maybe more shades of brown and tan and cream inside, which would feel softer and not so harsh, and the exterior would blend more into a rural park-up. All that being said, it's clearly a high-tech and functional home.
Agree on alla points. Also, I feel like dust and particles from rain will show immensely on the outside walls. The eye trickery with the ceiling is amazing though, I'd love to see it in a beautiful wood!
And here's why you should watch the whole video before commenting lol. Now I see the ceiling is in birch which looks beautiful and very fitting for the style, I myself like panelled ceilings so that's what I was thinking in my previous comment.
But I'm glad to see Bryce so happy with the result and that it fits their needs and style perfectly!
Avoiding windows in favor of black siding just doesn’t seem energy efficient. I’m sure it must be but it wouldn’t be on my list.
I think an interior designer might agree with you.
I noticed on either side of the space before the bath that you could add some narrow closets for clothes & supplies which would be perfect.

I’m always so inspired by your videos. I don’t live in a tiny house, but I do have a smaller house than most people in my area. The design shown in your videos has helped me to love my home and to change up small things that have made it feel nicer and more “mine”. Even as I am looking at your bathroom I am already having ideas on how to make my bathroom look nicer and more beautiful on a very small budget. I love this channel!
Thanks so much! And absolutely, I think a lot of people who watch this show don't live in tiny houses, and don't intend to, but they like the design ideas. Even if you live in a larger home there are always ways that you can make your space more efficient. I especially love it when tiny house design concepts are included in large homes.

Brilliant! I would of never thought the inside of this tiny had so much space & appeal! I'm gladly eating those words ... this is why Bryce & Rasa have the most creative & unique eye yet with the upmost functional in tiny living I have seen thus far. I love what they do ... always have & hope nothing but the best for them. I gotta say that Bryce's excitement rubs off and I find it's an added bonus he leaves to his viewers ... and I bet he doesn't realize the impact he makes all that view their vids ... humbleness is a beautiful quality to have at any stage of life.

The people we bought our coaster from are building a similar set up in their sprinter van. You can imagine the engineering required to that with curved walls…
I have to say that I never thought it possible that Bryce could be even more enthusiastic than usual but then this video landed 😂 He shot into bouncy Tigger mode of excitement and enthusiasm and I'm not surprised, it's Gorgeous!! Incredibly well thought out, I love how you've done the lighting and the bed and living space, the magnets under the floor and in the drawers...😮😍 The bathroom too is incredibly beautiful, and I totally agree design for the person you are, not who you want to be ❤️ It was actually this video made me realise why I love tiny houses so much, I lived in a caravan as a child and my first adult home was a caravan too. I've moved so many times but hadn't quite realised why tiny homes appeal so much to me until now 🤔💖

Gorgeous. Love the color choices. It takes a lot of skill to design and then build a roofline like that and I'm so impressed with how it turned out. The raised seating area revealing the bed underneath is brilliant, because loft are (mostly) for the very young and limber, especially in a home this small. I think I need to check out that Ecoflow system, because electrical is a major stumbling block for many and making it modular might be just the push many people need. Congratulations!

Funny, but we are actually looking into doing just that! I've been setting up the channel in the background and will be doing more technically specific videos. Would love to see more people chime in as to whether they would like us to do this!
