- One year, seven months, two weeks, two days. That's how long since I last released a video on this channel. Now, after what will have hopefully been the battle of my life, I'm back. Find out when and how I'm coming back to this channel.
This video focusses on mental health, specifically mine but the entire subject as well. My story starts in September 2018 and is one that is still not over today - but I'm close. Mental health continues to be a subject of secrecy and myth, one still not talked about enough today.
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with a mental health condition, it's important to talk. Just letting it out or asking someone how they're doing can be enough. It's not easy - I know that - but even the smallest gesture can mean the world of difference. Failing that, there are so many amazing charities and organisations that can offer help and advice. You are not alone.

Your final stream was on your birthday in 2018. Since then you haven't uploaded or streamed anything until now. Throughout this time I always checked to see when you are coming back. You said I am coming back this date, then that date, and then eventually unknown. I was worried that you might never come back but I knew that wouldn't stop me from continuing to fly my flight sims and grow my experience. All that experience, all those hours, all those streams, all of that were from you. Flying in your streams were incredible moments for me. I cannot wait for you to return and stay safe my friend! Welcome back to the flight sim community!

I'm nearly 40 years old, diagnosed with depression around 3 years ago, not finding it easy at all, not easy to talk about for certain.
I humbly applaud you for the courage taken to bare your soul on youtube of all places, you've got more spine in your little finger than I have in my... spine!
Stay strong friend, stay safe, stay communicative. No one should go through depression alone, as lonely as it seems you have all of us behind you.
While I'm here and if anyone is interested, I'm currently coming off a medication called venlafaxine, I get electric shocks in my head, I can hear things that aren't there. I've just come out of a huge low period, hadn't left my flat for a couple months. Months! Hadn't seen my girlfriend for the same amount of time, I was diagnosed with depression at the best point of my life, career was at it's best, new girlfriend (who is still around bless her)
It really isn't easy! It's not easy to talk about, it's not easy for me to understand my depression and as a former software developer I like to think I can use my logic skills to solve most things but man this one is beyond me. I feel like I'm in a situation I cannot control, it's terrifying.

I was so worried that we would have to declare his channel dead. It's so good to hear your voice again, I still rewatch your old ILS tutorials just to remember what you were like back then. And you have changed a lot.
Jack, you have been truly missed. There has been a gap in the flight sim community which could only be filled by you. Man this is the best message you could send to anyone out there. About 2 years ago my girlfriend was suffering severe c-ptsd from a fight that got out of hand between her mum and strangers whilst camping. She took responsibility that night and didn't know if her mum was dead for a whole night as she was taken to hospital. She was 14 at the time of the incident and suffered from this disorder a couple months later in the most severe way imaginable. Seizures 14 times a day, extreme depression and almost killed herself 3 times. She tells me everyday how thankful she is for meeting me and that if I or anyone else wasn't there supporting her, she would be dead. At her worst, depression built up in me as well because I felt hopeless and I didn't know what to do to help her. I self harmed, and was put on fluoxetine for a while. A lot of therapy has helped her and I am so thankful for it everyday. I do not want to keep this a secret from anyone as it is such an important message. Go seek help if you think you are depressed, don't suffer in silence. I do not wish depression or god forbid what my girlfriend went through on anyone. Jack, I understood mostly that this was hard to get off your chest and I am proud that you are getting better because this definitely wasn't an easy ride for you. There's always light at the end of the tunnel my friend.

I partially know how you feel about stress, I’m 12 and my stepdad just passed away from cancer at the age of 50, he did everything for me and I’m feeling very stressed and depressed but I play FSX and it makes me feel a bit better. I’m very sorry to hear about your friend and your grandad, their souls have been set free as I say. Keep up the good work,

Without your videos, Jack, i don't know how i would be flight simming today. The first tutorial i could understand properly was yours on an ILS approach. Here i am today, flying the FSLabs and hopefully soon the PMDG 777. Since I decided I'd like to learn to fly light aircraft, I've found your video tutorials really helpful for practising with FSX. I've also had a lifetime of up and downs and similar anxieties which I've managed reasonably well alone knowing my father had unsuccessful medical intervention for the same issues. Problem is when you're low, it's easy to believe that's the way things are going to stay and that's when folk think of doing something dire instead of waiting to come up the other side. But you've got a real talent and are helping people - you're also an ambassador for those like me who struggle from time to time but don't find it easy to ask for help. For me, sport is my outlet and the thing that motivates - sounds like the technical world is yours and an intelligent, articulate lad like yourself has a lot to offer. Good luck with everything and remember that there's plenty of good in the world to counter and cancel out the bad! Well done on your candid and moving video - think it will earn you a lot of respect and support...

But beside all that I'm a newbe in this FSX world, I'm old but I enjoy learning new things (but wanting to fly is almost as old as I am) So I have been searching for RUclips channels like yours, and found few pretty good ones, but honestly your's is the very best of them. I was searching on YT to seek FSX tutorials and saw this channel.. You're a smart individual & I hope you're feeling well than before. You're just more than a RUclipsr seeing your tutorials and how you explain things.. You have serious talent trust me..
Maybe you might not consider this comment, maybe you will, but I know what it feels like to be cheated on on the person you love, and trust me, I'm lucky I didn't get in hospital, but you know, it's just a deep feeling you have inside of you, and yeah, I can't elaborate more on the subject, only that I got cheated on, and the recovery was hard, including suicide thoughts. I hope you the best, you've always been my go to #1 flight channel in terms of things, and, don't come back till Jack feels it inside of him, I just hope you recover. I also hope your dad recovers.

I know you uploaded this one month ago but I just got around to checking in on your channel again and I'm super glad that you uploaded! I bet it will have explained a lot for people and I'm excited for FSX uploads, I myself haven't played in a good minute. And if it makes you feel better I also struggle with General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and life can be pretty rough and depressing with it but I hope I can relate to you in some way.
