- I am finally at the stage of this abandoned home renovation that I am going from fresh white spaces to adding our own style and personality to each room! From boring white to COLOUR! After realizing I am green person and not a blue person all of a sudden the home really is feeling like home.

I found the video where you all planted the trees. The one with all white tags is the gala apple. The mutli apple tree is honey crisp, red Macintosh, Fuji, gala and braeburn. The tree with two red dots is the John's pear. The other one is flemish beauty pears.

On doing your own wood…. U need to purchase wood again for this winter as “your” wood won’t be seasoned or dry enough to burn well and be warm .

intrude on your prime land space & keeps a barrier if tame & wild so not mind the canes rooting themselves like they do few lots for you few for wild life .

The living room is perfect now with that gorgeous green. The smaller sofa and chair (coming soon) also make so much sense and look awesome in the space with the green.
When you were painting the bathroom, I kept thinking about the sunflower wall in the pantry. It all looks so cohesive and your vibe throughout.
Having your bedroom downstairs will be nice for you.
I used to live in a townhouse apt for 10 years. Only one bathroom, upstairs. A few years after moving there, my husband unexpectedly became disabled and going up and down the stairs was hard for him.
I suggest a half bath downstairs, but I know there is so much on your to-do list, and it is not a priority now, obviously, but maybe in the future plans? Life changes as we get older, thats for sure.

We burn only wood in central Mn…….you REALLY NEED a HEPA air filter that runs continuously as long as you are burning wood. It helps keep the air cleaner and HEALTHIER.

The white in the hallway makes the staircase look so beautiful , the pictures on the wall will look good. Maybe add a couple of mirrors to reflect light will make it look larger

The living room looks gorgeous - absolutely love the color. The smaller sofa is beautiful and looks so much nicer in that space. I think it gives the room a cozier feel than the much more stark modern look of the sectional. Awesome job on the living room.

Progress is so exciting especially with Hudson and London trotting around the new space. The kitchen cabinets look good. For the pantry back shelves my suggestion would be leave them white or I would stencil a thin green and white stripe in there. Wonderful you are finally getting connected to one of your family members I pray it is everything you hope for. You and your aunt will have some heart memories to share with each other. I love the new color and furniture in your living room. They make the architecture of the room more visible. Your beautiful bay windows were hardly noticeable when the room was white and now they really stand out.

Years ago when they started talking about the impact of color on mood and personality the rule about green was “ never argue with a person with a green living room “. It might be that anyone with a green living room is never willing to argue or just can’t because they are so happy.
I just love the green in your living room .. I too thought my favorite color was blue over the many years , but after i healing the passing of my late husband . While we both loved the color blue .I am just loving the color green at the moment .

Lots of wonderful people have found the video about which tree is which. I think it would be cool to paint a picture for a wall in the house, that shows the trees (maybe grown) out the window. Then in the picture put the names/type of tree. Also draw yourself a sketch and name everything correctly and keep that somewhere safe. Lol what a fun issue to have. Love you guys.

Save the tags on the trees and write the date you planted them. Then draw up a sketch of where they were planted.
Love the green! It is a perfect shade and looks so pretty, great choice. Also a very good choice to rehome the huge sectional sofa. The normal size sofa looks much better and is perfect in the space. The addition of the chair and ottoman will be perfect. Great job Elysia! Also, Philip needs a log splitter, it will make his life much easier and really, they are not that expensive. It will save his back. Just a thought.

I absolutely love this color compared to the white walls in the living room! It just seems so right and timeless! So happy for you! And seeing this vision!
Plant the raspberries somewhere where they will not be taken over with grass. Raspberries have a three year cycle and do replenish themselves. The first year growth does not yield much, the second year gives a good crop. The third year it is petering out and they will need to be cleared from the patch as they will die after the fruiting season.
I was never a fan of the blue or blue gray. I love love love the green!

Raspberries in my opinion will grow anywhere you put them. We bought our house and there were raspberries bushes beside the shed in the gravel and they produce every year. We also have a raised garden with them in it. They love water and lost of sun. We even have white raspberries

Raspberries like a lot of sun and their beds need to be clear of grass and other vegetation so they can creep around themselves. And you may want to keep them where you can mow around so they don’t spread too far. ….
You can have your pigs dig up sod for your garden or raspberries!

My favorite color is green! Almost every color of green. The living room is looking great in green. Inside wood stoves do make a lot of ashes & make it hard to keep your walls clean. But the wood heat can't be beat, really. Maybe down the line in the future you could purchase a outdoor wood furnace. Its one of my dreams to own. Less dirt & ashes & you can load them up with bigger pieces of wood. Not so much time splitten wood. We have a gas wood splitter & it's a God send. Invest in one of those & you will wonder how you ever lived without it.

Raspberries have to be picked just after dawn. Otherwise they squash during the picking.

Heat pump a great idea. Make sure you do your homework to get the best one for your area and weather. At -40 you will be burning wood. Not sure if there are any that work at that temperature. Good idea for a back up. Could put two heads off of the main unit and have one on the main floor and another on the second floor. Just realize when you do that both units have to be on the same mode, either heat or ac. They cannot work with one on ac or one on heat.

@@ElysiaEnglish just make sure you don't plant berries anywhere near your buried plumbing lines. Just had to pay 10k to have our on slab ranch house under dug to change out the root-destroyed house plumbing and switch it to root-proof piping. What a nightmare.
They are a wild rose, so if you are trellising them plant your posts about 6 feet from your evergreen forest, so you can get the acidic soil but avoid large tree roots, about six to eight feet apart. Bottom wire about one foot from the ground OR above your "normal" snow cover. Also follow mother nature way , perpendicular to the morning sun so both sides can get at least 6ish hours. Jason from Coghill family Farm has a great video on trellising his blackberrys for maximum productivity. We did this for rose hips using Alaska's Arctic roses on our homestead. Yum rose syrup on sourdough pancakes, you can also get the added laughs of watching moose try to pick them with giant lips. 😁. 🤗❤️🌈🙏🕊️

Love green! Beautiful choice. Props to Melissa Beaton!!!! Raspberries in "sunny open acres." My cousins had ROWS 2 acres in a huge sunny patch. We had to pick 2 quart baskets EACH, parents included, every morning after breakfast before we could play. It was "sunny acres time" that was the call to start picking! Our Mum's did a ton of jams, jellies, pies, tarts & compotes.

LOVE IT! I MUST have color, I cannot live in an all white, or tan/beige colors. My favorite color is Seafoam by Sherwin Williams-it's been on my walls for about 10 yrs. It's so calming and creates peace. It gives off green hues. But I think where your home is, the darker color green fits perfectly!

For my house the raspberries do best in moist soil in lots of sun but some shade. I also recommend creating pathways between so you can reach as many berries as possible and not clustering them too much or they will be a big mound of bushes!

I started getting a garden journal because of that I was forgetting what I planted I forget the dates things like that so now I just started at Garden Journal and it helps me. I also do riding in my cell phone, but they work hand in hand 🌱🌱🌱

Green is my fav colour.Every room in my house is either all green or has a green accent wall. my bathroom has green accents. I love the change and it will be so much easier to clean than the white-but the hallway looks amazing white with the stair case.

The Gala Apple is between the bay window. The Baldwin apple is closer to the driveway. The Blemish Beauty Pear is closest to the 4 kind of apple tree and the John's Pear is down the hill.

White adds character too! It’s nice that you have changed your mind to add color but white enables you to add what ever color or patterned wall hangings and decor you want to also add all kinds of character to a room.

I'm a blue lover we have the paint to do the outside of the house our house is mostly brick .You can pick about any color you want and hold it up against the brick That color will pop right out . I love the color you picked for the living room it looks so nice. Around here everyone is on high alert for tornadoes a lot of towns around us have been hit by tornadoes. The town of Sulphur Oklahoma was hit by a tornado on Tuesday night it leveled the town all the buildings were over 100 years old I heard on the news that they don't need anymore clothes there asking for gloves and shovels. Today it's the 25 anniversary of the May 3 1999 tornadoes it went over half of Oklahoma and into Kansas. .when we took cover in a hall it was coming straight at us it turned right after it crossed 44 st we live on 38 st it went behind the citys water treatment plant and #2 fire station. Hit a farm and totally destroyed it they didn't rebuild. I can still go out today and see damage from the tornado. I don't know if you have ever been in a tornado. They are totally devastating. My kitchen and dining room are green. The living room and hallway have been yellow for years. I’m currently in the process of painting the hall and living room in an off white. Figure at my age that is final. At least with the white I can change my accent colors to whatever I want!
By the way we live in a ranch house so as soon as you walk in you can pretty much see everything
I have been growing raspberries for about 18 years, mibe are early season fruiting varieties, so they were planted in the South East side of my house. It gets about 8 hours of light a day and is protected from the worst of winter. Oh and we live in BC Canada. Greetings

Raspberry Canes really do spread so need lots of space. They also need full sun. If possible erect a fruit cage coz the birds love them. Last year was the first year I beat the birds to my delicious fruits. Loving the green lounge, what a difference colour makes. Thanks for another great video ❤
