That's why I upgraded them despite only having the first gen a few months as I found the 1st gen to have terrible audio quality to the extent that some of my cheaper earbuds sound much better. Audio always sounded very flat with them, I needed to use fixed spatial audio to give them any kind of life which really affected battery life
I been using my AirPods Pro 2 since I got them Friday. Let me tell you they are great and they work well with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Saying that you won’t go wrong getting a pair of the original AirPods Pro either and if you want a good deal I’d recommend getting the original AirPods Pro right now because the AirPods Pro will cost you $249.99 bucks not counting taxes or shipping fees.
I think you are spot on in the comparison to AirPods Max. I compared these to the 1st Gen and they are a definite improvement in sound and noise cancellation. I also compared them to the AirPod Max and they are very similar in sound quality and noise cancellation. I’ll stick with the Max for TV and movies and listening to music around the house though. The sound is a little more full, for lack of a better description.
Just got mine and setup was easy and I am overly impressed with the noise cancellation. I’m by a noisy laptop cooler fan and soon as I put the EarPods on, I hear NOTHING ELSE and everything is crisp and clear. Really impressed.
Brought mine today and totally blown away. The sound is amazing . And Dolby Atmos is incredible. It’s like being in the music studio. Fantastic purchase
The battery in my left AirPods Pro 1st gen doesn’t last longer than an hour while the right last about 3 hours. I went to Apple to get pricing on replacing the batteries in both and the Apple rep told me I may as well just purchase a new pair. I just waited to see what gen 2 has in store and I like what I see so, 2nd gen is what I’m about to order. Thanks Aaron. Your review is awesome as always. 👍🏽👍🏽
I got mine today Aaron, better than the last edition, I set them up & happy with them, but I don’t find much improvement with the noise cancelling so far as stated by Apple, however not used for more than half hour so far. I thought it was really good to charge them on my watch charger which seemed quite quick, very handy! 😊👌🏻

AirPods Pro 2nd generation do fit in my ears differently. I have a sore in my ear from the 1st gen that is still healing. The 2nd gen does not hurt my ear at all.
Always thought it was odd that you could ping a lost/missing AirPod Pro, but only if it was separated from the case. There was never any way to locate the actual case with the AirPods inside, glad they finally addressed that big hole
Fun fact to anyone looking to use the XS tips for first gen AirPods Pro: the XS tips DO fit on the first gen AirPods Pro. Just note that since the XS tips weren’t really designed for AirPods Pro gen 1 case, the AirPods will stick out a bit more on the big end, which then makes the AirPods Pro collide with the case a bit while closing, but totally works fine.
The 3rd party Comply foam tips for Airpod Pro gen 1 also fit for gen 2. I installed these this morning, bypassed the silicone tips because their fit doesn’t work for me.
Currently have the Airpods 2. Will definitely be upgrading to this current gen. Also, thanks for walking us through the setup. I would have missed some of these things haha.
Like the improvements but consider the one color only design to be a way for Apple to advertise while in use. Much rather have a more discreet skin tone matching color. I know that’s an inventory challenge but a three colors beside white or a surface that could be tinted would be nice.

I guess the volume adjust ability is the best improvement, and yes the battery is a bit better. Still need USB C, and I may be just old, but I don't notice some grand sound improvements. Still overall a must have.
I owe Powerbeats white and black for many years , but now I am changing to AIR PODS #2 you know the first time I don’t like it because I used to use Powerbeats since I used two, threes time and I don’t want to going back to Powerbeats anymore. Love it so much!! Excellent production!!

I just got a pair today! Or we’ll ordered them.. tomorrow they arrive. I’m really excited to replace my seven year old Bose QC35ii overears. The ear cups constantly fall apart making them unusable til I spend $60 and lose a week of use. So yeah.. I’m excited for them. I actually started using ANC headphones to sleep and it just became an almost comfort blanket now.. so I’m happy I got the best option available. $250 isn’t that much for what you get here. And I’m expecting 4-5 years of use. Thanks for the unboxing part to Zollo.. I like seeing the experience I’ll have so really appreciate how through you are with these.
Just ordered my pair of AirPods Pro Second Generation. Can’t wait to try them out, I currently have a pair of Bose Soundsport and love sound quality, however they stick out to far out of the ears which makes them hard to wear under wooly hats and are tethered together. Looking forward to exploring the features, comfort and sound quality. I currently have a Mous Aramid Fibre case for my IPhone, going to get a Mous Aramid Case to protect the AirPods as well.
There's no noise cancellation left in 1st generation. Only loud wind blowing bluster in transparency mode and then it stops in noise cancellation mode.
thank you!!!!!!! i have the first gen pro's and have really small ear canals and even the smallest that came with them would eventually slide out, was thinking of getting the new extra small eartips when thease came out but they said that they aren't compatible with the first gen so i decided not to until further research i did some digging and you are the only person who actually tries the new eartips that are supposedly "not compatible" on the first gen pros and surprise surprise they work and apple is just telling you that so you purchase the new gens 😂 i just ordered the extra small eartips today for my first gen pro's hopefully they'll solve my issue haha
NO MORE PAIN!! Just wanted to mention that apple has fixed the design so they do not hurt my ears anymore. I was one of those people that the AirPods Pro first generation hurt my ears!! So painful and I had to return them. Now they have slightly re-designed them and I have been wearing them for by a few days now and no pain at all! THANK YOU APPLE!!
They should sound better than the AirPods 3rd gen as the H2 chip should improve the sound over the AirPods 3rd gen using the much older H1 chip by what Apple calls computational audio. Mine will be coming on Monday, there was a slight delay due to my Memoji order coming from China, so I'll be interested to see how they improve as I really found the AirPods Pro 1st green had really flat audio and it became necessary to use spatial audio fixed to add life to them. One of the reasons I upgraded, despite only having the first generation for a few months is that I was very unhappy with the flat audio quality of the AirPods Pro. I'm not an audiophile, I even find a lot of 100 dollar earbuds, to have better audio quality. There was no bass at all with the 1st gen and the mids and highs were very flat. There were a lot of 100 dollar earbuds that sounded much better. So I'm hoping to see a significant jump in audio quality, especially as they are slapping an extra 50 euros on European orders over the previous model.
Hugely informative as always. One thing though in many places it’s illegal to drive while wearing headphones and in places where it’s not illegal is highly recommended you don’t for safety reasons. Keep up the great work!
Anyone with Beats Fit Pros that can compare with the new APP2? At least sound quality? Beats fit work really well for NC for me and quality of sound is above average. Curious if APP2 is a worthwhile upgrade.

I can clearly hear people talking, keyboard strokes and cars passing by which was not the case in the first two weeks of owning them, are you having the same experience because a lot of people have this

The tips are universal but Apple stated the second generation tips provide better sound experience.

Since I sold my AirPods Pro -st gen I’ve used my Beats Studio buds since and I can’t believe the difference since I got my AirPods Pro 2
I noticed the bass is increased, the highs are clearer and the transparency mode feels almost identical to not having airpods in your ears.
I've had my Tozo NC9's for 3 years and were only 40$. Worked and sounded good to me.
I just ordered these Pro 2's, ready to see how good these are.

When removing the ear tips, remove the them from the base. I've broken tips because of the stressed silicone
