Coming from the old AirPods Pro, the new ones are a significant step up. Sound is better, noise cancelling is noticeable better, and the transparency is the best I’ve heard by far in any earbuds. I considered many options, but nothing had quite the balance that I was looking for like the AirPods Pro 2 does. Seamless connectivity, the smallest case out there, great sound(even if not the best), second best ANC, and the best transparency out there. The are simple and effective, well worth the price to me. If I couldn’t get them, I would get the Bose for the fit and ANC.
@@rigo8254 hmm, you will hear a little bit, and it depends on the types of noises. Hums and background noise like echos and transportation will be reduced the most, but sounds like talking, car honking, and other sudden noises are more difficult to reduce so you will hear them a little more and more often. Can you recall what types of noise you still are hearing? Could it be that you have noise control set to off instead of transparency or noise cancelling? Noise control off would sound muffled but not fully noise cancelled.
No wonder AirPods pro 2 have better ANC than the regular pros when they downgrade the ANC in the regular pros right before the announcement of the new ones.
Not often that I watch a single video and instantly hit the sub button, this is one of those exceptions. Excellent production, thorough and detailed analysis ( I admit that I didn’t think you were going to mention the super premium options out there) Most of all though, straight to it with no BS. Top darts!
I bought a pair 2 weeks ago and wow. It was a massive upgrade for me as I had the AirPods 1. I was worried about the fitting but the XS tip is perfect for me.
Multi device connectivity is also a feature to consider and I think it is often underrated. Switching between devices is so easy with this. You put your laptop aside, pick up your phone and....bang...you can use your buds right away. For this and many other reasons Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 are my daily driver and it does so much more very well. Well thought out gestures, LDAC and super sound.
Need to elaborate more on specific things like noise cancellation, like saying it’s good because it can block out noise from an ambulance right next to me or something, not just saying that “these are brilliant active noise canceling…” like it’s not that hard. Im actually trying to find out whether or not it’s what im looking for and, just like you, people are saying it’s good and don’t specify that details of what it can or cannot do with blocking noise, aka noice cancellation.
These are an improvement over the 1st gen buds. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM Pros: The fit is fantastic. This is the biggest plus. They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
Killer intro :) Exactly the experience but with the first gen Airpods pro. Brilliant review. From a Bose QC 25, Jabra elite 65 and 75t, to the airpods pro. This thing packs a serious punch. The airpods pro sounds brilliant on windows PC (I tested via the player foobar, especially when you tweak it with equalizer.) So the airpods pro just does everything well. Noise cancelling is almost at par with the QC 25's.
Nicely done!!! There is one great feature that doesn't get enough recognition in my opinion. The amplification level of the transparency mode...I have not seen this feature in other earbuds. The amplification is so good that they practically become earaids. Also so important that while listening to audio, you can still hear ambient sounds if you wish. This was the deciding factor for me.. thought I would put this out there..tks!

@@Dr.Octogon yeah honestly that's where I'm at with it! You forgot the Soundcore Liberty 3 pros. They sound incredible and have great ANC. I have both those and the APP2 and the ability to practically filter in everything as natural as they do, the Air pod pro 2's have replaced my liberty 3's. They sound great, and their ANC is slightly better as well.
Hey mate, how would you compare the sound quality of the AirPods Pro 2 and the liberty 3 pro? Which one is better? Can you compare the signatures, clarity, bass, highs etc? Cheers!
@@georgeb8374 so it's kind of an unfair comparison because the liberty 3's have audio tuning on their soundcore app, and you can equalize to your sound preference. Out of the box, the bass is quite a bit better on the liberty 3s, but I think the air pods pro 2's tuning win on high and mid clarity. It's a very small margin, but I go to my air pods more because of just how good the sound passthrough and ANC is. Not to mention they control how loud the sound that passes through can be, so it takes everything down to a more manageable level, which I think might be great for people with autism or that are extremely sensitive to too much sound. The stem controls for the airpods feels much easier than the tap controls on the liberty 3s, and I've always hated tapping on an earbud, because it feels like I'm gonna blow an ear drum. As far as fit goes, they're both comfy, but I've had better luck while exercising with the airpods, and the wing tips for the L3's move around a lot. They're both very solid products, and I guess it comes down to whether you care about the apple ecosystem. I can leave the airpods in all day and still receive functionality from them in that way, so for me, they edge out the liberty 3 pros. Now for nearly half the price, the soundcores deserve a mention, because as I stated, they do sounds amazing, and often go on sale down to $130
one thing I know for a fact with choosing the right earbuds is how they look in the ear. I am a complete audiophile myself, but the main reason I don't want to spend more on superb sound quality is because of how all the super premium earbuds look so bad in the human ear lol. they just don't compliment facial features at all. they're all either too bulky or the colors are way too out there. that's why I play it safe with some white galaxy buds 2 pro or any airpods. they both look so sleek in the human ear. I avoid the color black lol it's so unnatural looking (imo). the look is something very important to consider when having something sitting in your ears constantly.
excellent point, also how bulky the earbuds are if you're gonna have them in for a few hours that's very important. ultimately these are made to be worn out and about so sound quality really isnt the main focus (at least for me) so long as it's good enough. at home i always use over ear headphones.
Don’t normally comment on a review vid but I just have to add to other comments about how well that was filmed and edited really well done, great job great vid.
I just picked up a pair during Black Friday. I can’t see going with anything else if you have multiple Apple devices. I was blown away by how easy it is to switch from IPad to iPhone, to Apple Watch. Audio is great in any mode and noise cancellation should work well enough on flights. The device location feature is a nice bonus.
I’ve never had buds before then I purchased some Beats Pro buds to work out with, I hated them because the sound was simply horrible, fast forward to the past 2 weeks and I purchased AirPods 2 Pro because she likes buds, she handed me them to try about 15 minutes after she stated using them and used the word eargasm. I was stunned, I went for a walk, there were 2 tracktors in the field next to me and cars going up the lane and a busy road over the hedge, I could barely hear anything outside and when I focused and lost my self in the music I could hear nothing but the music, 30 minutes later I ordered myself some. I cannot believe I chose these over the normal high end over ear phones I go for.
I just recently lost my 1st gen AirPod Pro's, so it was a great excuse to get the new 2nd gen AirPod Pro's. I can confidently say that the 2nd gen are significantly better than 1st gen. The sound quality is immaculate, the transparency mode is exquisite, the noise cancellation is astonishing. The new added feature to be able to turn up/down the volume just by the earphones themselves is brilliant. I'd say upgrading wouldn't be such a bad idea if you have the extra money on the side to splurge on these. 10/10 imo.
buds by akg is probably the best option for sound quality . sure cd quality is a factor but I believe how the earphone measurement affects sound quality matters more even if you're stuck with a lower quality Bluetooth.
I don't how anyone with an iPhone would get anything else....Had them for 2 months, they're great and much better than the original, which I had no complaints with except the ANC....NOW I JUST USE ADAPTIVE ALL THE TIME, IT'S BRILLIANT!
If you’re on a tighter budget and want good quality and ANC the Tozo NC2 are pretty dang good for the $35 USD price point. The ANC is easily as good as the original airpod pros - sound quality is also pretty close and mic is great for calls. The main drawback is probably that they are a bit chunkier than the airpod pros - but with that comes better battery life and good bass.
I have the airpods pros, normal airpods, qc45’s and then dt990s for home use. For productivity I use my qc45s and I double up on noise cancellation by sliding in my airpod pros under my headphones. My AirPods Pro’s by far have probably been the most useful to me they are just extremely convenient with how seamless everything connects, and out of every headphone I have - definitely have the most wear. I probably used them every single day in 2020 and half of 2021. If the AirPod pro 2s have better anc and a battery I think that’s worth it in itself as the sound quality on the pros are decent.
Thanks! This is an excellent video that is well-made and informative. You actually use nuance. I didn't know that was allowed on the internet. ;) Subscribed.
I am an audio nut, and have spent a lot of money trying to find the best all around buds. I have so many, so many. The absolute best sound I get is via a DAC and wired headphones, but when I want to go wireless and for a walk, iPodsPro 2. They’re great on my iPhone and S22 Ultra. Sound, ANC and fit are all excellent.
Really depends on how loud the car is and how good your hearing is, but in general I would say no - just massively reduces the sound. Hope that helps 👍
I've never been impressed with Sony sound quality. They're really bassy and loose with middling mids and treble. If you want sound quality, don't look past Sennheiser Momentum. I had the Momentum True wireless earbuds and then the True Wireless Earbuds 2 and now the Momentum 4 headphones and man, they sound amazing. Depends on the quality of the tracks you're listening to but if you have good quality tracks (not just the bit rate but how well it was recorded i.e. the studio) then they sound phenomenal. Mind blowing sound. So tight and punchy with crispy highs and beautifully balanced mids that don't get lost in the mix. Also my ears are quite sensitive to sibilance and Sennheiser purposefully tunes sibilance out of their earbuds/headphones by turning down the frequency response in the 5000-7000Hz range so you can turn them up loud and they dont hurt unlike a lot of other brands of headphones/earbuds. Honestly, if you want sound quality, go with the people who pride themselves on sound quality. Maybe not the best overall headphones/earbuds but certainly the best sounding. The only reason I am thinking about buying the Airpods Pro 2 is that I want to use them inside my motorcycle helmet to cancel out noise and so I can listen to some background music quietly while I ride. They are small and sleek enough that they should fit under my helmet unlike a lot of other earbuds that are bulky and stick out of your ears. I have Aipods 2 and they work in my helmet no worries, but they dont have noise cancellation so only useful for short trips (5-10 mins). Just not sure if it's worth $249 for Airpods Pro 2. If they were $200 or less then I would have bought them already.
Something else, I don’t see often in earbud reviews is fitment. I bought the xm4, and while I love the sound quality, they are super uncomfortable in my ears, even after several months of wearing them. So I caved and got the AirPod pro 2, they are so much more comfortable. Sure there are a few features on the Sonys that Apple doesn’t have, including the slightly better sound, but at the end of the day none of those things matter, if I’m just waiting to take the earbuds out because they hurt my ears.
ideally, you do get what you pay for. im a airpod/ios user overall and i just can't see myself with any other hearing device to use. to me it feels convenient to how light and fitting they are which ofcourse has great audio quality. it's recommended especially if you're one to listen to music in your everyday life, saves the hassle.
An important feature for me is the buds staying in my ears. The Bose QCs kept falling out of my left ear. The AirPods 2 stay in and are more comfortable.
You're missing the Devialet Gemini. 3 noise cancelling modes (incl air plane mode) and 2 transparency modes. I came from AirPods Pro gen 1 and I'm using these Devialet for a couple of months and I don't regret buying them. Sound is great, big driver, crispy sound and has a punchy bass. They dropped from 299 to 229. It's a great option
I think many reviews, this included with the supposed "dilemma", get priorities totally wrong when it comes to choosing wireless earbuds. Codecs are irrelevant nowadays because with modern compression no one can distinguish between a well compressed AAC and an uncompressed file anyway. If you have a certain level of audio and noise cancellation quality, it basically comes down to comfort. That's why the AirPods Pro 2 are so popular. They're just extremely comfortable and easy to control. I'd add transparency mode in the comfort category because its just comfortable to leave the earphones in while talking to someone ;) The fact that they have good audio quality and great ANC should be a given in that price point.
For the longest time I was a 'AirPod Pro's can't be worth the price' camp. Well, boy was I wrong. Just everything about them has blown me away. My ONLY issue with them is Apple's UI when interacting with the device or even in the iOS software. Feel like have to explore the depths of System Settings is somewhat cumbersome - but once you set it all up in the slide-down menu it's nice.
After Buying CharJen Pro Eartips The Audio Is Better Even At A Lower Volume Just got them and so far Airpods pro 2 haven't moved in my ears at all and the audio quality is more impactful at a lower volume . Finally I can enjoy my AirPods Pro 2 .
I had the first version. Honestly, went back to the AirPods (now version 3). Found the pros finicky, with dropped Bluetooth connection and one side charging and the other not. 😵💫
Good video! I have a wireless dac and meze iem, which i use for my listening sessions on the go, and an earmen usb c dac for best quality when at home on ipad pro, ordered airpods pro 2 for seamless calls and ease of use when I am not seriously listening to music like during workouts, driving, etc, the anc is a first experience for me too 😊
you didnt mention the comfort and the fit. I bought the sony wf-xm4 and droped it while walking one month later. it was waste of 250$ for me because they are too big and too heavy. Now i am using Air pods pro 2 with Android and they are perfect.

10/10 imo.
completely agree just bought mine last week upgrading from first gen airpods
Keep shinning .. your content is class.. your tone is amazing too
Thanks Mich appreciate it 🙏
giving you a like just for the kitty with the airpod and doggo with the headphones 🤣
😂
buds by akg is probably the best option for sound quality . sure cd quality is a factor but I believe how the earphone measurement affects sound quality matters more even if you're stuck with a lower quality Bluetooth.
Indeed it does. P.s personally not a fan at all of AKGs, not had good experiences in the past… particularly re microphone, but open to them improving
Wow I was not expecting this at all. That was just a super job. I am totally impressed. thank you, thank you very much.
Thanks so much 🙏
I don't how anyone with an iPhone would get anything else....Had them for 2 months, they're great and much better than the original, which I had no complaints with except the ANC....NOW I JUST USE ADAPTIVE ALL THE TIME, IT'S BRILLIANT!
👍
very clear, concise breakdown of the different buds. very helpful information.
Thanks Brian 🙏
Wow, less than 7K subscribers? This is some serious production quality that presents valuable information.
wow this was a beautiful video to look at! the editing 🤯🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
😂🙏👍
The sound when you put AirPods into anc and transparency mode were totally opposite but intro was🔥
Thanks 🙏
I have the airpods pros, normal airpods, qc45’s and then dt990s for home use. For productivity I use my qc45s and I double up on noise cancellation by sliding in my airpod pros under my headphones. My AirPods Pro’s by far have probably been the most useful to me they are just extremely convenient with how seamless everything connects, and out of every headphone I have - definitely have the most wear. I probably used them every single day in 2020 and half of 2021. If the AirPod pro 2s have better anc and a battery I think that’s worth it in itself as the sound quality on the pros are decent.
Agreed 👍
Love it mate. Nailed it with final analysis
🙏 thanks
this was one of the best intros i have ever seen wow!
It is literally one of the best AirPods out there right now. I’m loving the magic of it!
Thanks! This is an excellent video that is well-made and informative. You actually use nuance. I didn't know that was allowed on the internet. ;) Subscribed.
😂 thanks! Hope you’ve seen the latest vids. Another coming this week on Sony M5 buds 👍
Ohh hello there new (to me anyway) tech RUclipsr! Very concise style of reviewing things, which I really like, so, looking forward to more!
that mario kart line got me lmao
🤣
The sound quality of this vid is worth a sub alone
👍 thanks man
I am an audio nut, and have spent a lot of money trying to find the best all around buds. I have so many, so many. The absolute best sound I get is via a DAC and wired headphones, but when I want to go wireless and for a walk, iPodsPro 2. They’re great on my iPhone and S22 Ultra. Sound, ANC and fit are all excellent.
Intro was just awesome
🙏
Thank you for this video. Does ANC on the AirPods Pro 2 totally cut out the sound of passing cars ?
Really depends on how loud the car is and how good your hearing is, but in general I would say no - just massively reduces the sound. Hope that helps 👍
@@ThoughtsOnThings Thank you for your reply.
Which earbuds are the BEST for bass?? Like.. ear shaking good.
Your list is spot on! You’ve done your homework 😀
🙏
Thank you for your thoughtful and illuminating video.
Thanks Felix
INTRO FILMING is incredible
🙏
🙏
Great video, thank you! I am super happy with the AirPod Pro 2, especially with the case and transparent mode. But also the ANC is improved.
Thanks Marc 👍
Subscribed because of the intro!

Something else, I don’t see often in earbud reviews is fitment. I bought the xm4, and while I love the sound quality, they are super uncomfortable in my ears, even after several months of wearing them. So I caved and got the AirPod pro 2, they are so much more comfortable. Sure there are a few features on the Sonys that Apple doesn’t have, including the slightly better sound, but at the end of the day none of those things matter, if I’m just waiting to take the earbuds out because they hurt my ears.
thanks for the video with great animations!
👍
Sensational review…got my Pod Pro 2…great little buds…my question is though what device are you writing on?
Thanks Steve. IPad Pro 👍
Thank you for this phenomenal review.
Thanks Daniel 👍
ideally, you do get what you pay for. im a airpod/ios user overall and i just can't see myself with any other hearing device to use. to me it feels convenient to how light and fitting they are which ofcourse has great audio quality. it's recommended especially if you're one to listen to music in your everyday life, saves the hassle.
An important feature for me is the buds staying in my ears. The Bose QCs kept falling out of my left ear. The AirPods 2 stay in and are more comfortable.
I had the same issue with the new Pixel Buds Pro, just kept falling out
Subscribed and thanks for the helpful video.. !
Thanks Derek 👍
Intro on fire 🔥 👏
🙏👍
Thanks for the info, bout to order the ones I want rn.✌🏻🤪✌🏻
👍👍
Great intro / great review / great video
Thanks 🙏
bro why haven't you got more subs man videos are sick!
I had NO idea that I could turn my volume up and down with the crown on my watch while my AirPods Pro 2 were connected! Thanks 😊
Glad I could help!
👍
really good video man underrated
Thanks 🙏
👍
Awesome intro!
Thanks!
That intro had no business being that good.
😂😂
Bro. That intro. What the actual fuck, I’ve never seen such a well..well developed intro, that was amazing.
😂🙏👍
Hope the APP2 goes on sale this Holiday season/Black Friday?
After Buying CharJen Pro Eartips The Audio Is Better Even At A Lower Volume
Just got them and so far Airpods pro 2 haven't moved in my ears at all and the audio quality is more impactful at a lower volume . Finally I can enjoy my AirPods Pro 2 .
I had the first version. Honestly, went back to the AirPods (now version 3). Found the pros finicky, with dropped Bluetooth connection and one side charging and the other not. 😵💫
Good video! I have a wireless dac and meze iem, which i use for my listening sessions on the go, and an earmen usb c dac for best quality when at home on ipad pro, ordered airpods pro 2 for seamless calls and ease of use when I am not seriously listening to music like during workouts, driving, etc, the anc is a first experience for me too 😊
100% the right approach I think. Ease with AirPods Pro is great and quality really decent just not ‘the best’
you didnt mention the comfort and the fit. I bought the sony wf-xm4 and droped it while walking one month later. it was waste of 250$ for me because they are too big and too heavy. Now i am using Air pods pro 2 with Android and they are perfect.
Nice - fit with ears gets very personal so difficult to speak in general terms 👍
Loved your approach to this minefield, great production too +1 Subscriber
Thanks Chris 🙏
Hello! Straight to the point! What is a pencil you use in this video?
