The most underrated thing is this audiogram feature. I do not understand why Apple is not advertising it more. This completely changed my life. I am rediscovering all of my music library once again.

As an FYI, you can long press the volume slider when your airpods are active to open the same menu as the "hearing" button without adding an extra button.

Brandon, thanks for this. Lots of great tips. And I also agree about the Apple Watch charger tip. I have a MagSafe charger for my iPhone but I actually wear my Apple Watch at night so my phone can go on the mag safe charger and my AirPods Pro can go on the Apple Watch charger. Very convenient wireless charging for both.

Did Apple remove the custom transparency option? I have AirPod Pro 2 with USB-C IOS 16.7, but I don't see that page. I can either toggle it on or off.

70/30 isopropyl alcohol is recommended by apple rather than the 90/10 and above you suggested. It will actually kill germs. 90 and above often evaporates too soon (which is why it’s used internally for electronics…very little risk of liquid damage because of the quick evaporation)

@@BrandonButch "with no issue" would really only be able to be determined if you're testing for bacteria etc. in a lab. you wouldn't be able to /see/ it, the point is 70 will remain long enough to kill bacteria, 90 will not. it's not about having issues, and it's not really a measurable metric.

Thank you for the video, i tried to tap on my case like you did but it didn’t work
Im old school and i listen to my ipod and i use wired earbuds. Now the very first thing i did years ago was to buy a set of back and white foam earbud protectors. I have never cleaned my earbuds. If they get dirty or ripped, i simply put on a new pair. They are super cheap and they actually make the buds fit more snug into my ear I know they would work for wireless as well. Easy to tell the difference, white is right- black is left.
How much did you notice between having Find my On /Off? I mean, do you feel like you have half a charge or you lose more than it?

Yo that live listen is so good. I can hear everything from outside the door of my apartment. Such as someone opening a door. Wow I didn’t know that. So cool.
I didnt know that tapping on the pro case would display the battery status😮. I used to press that tiny button underneath the case to know the battery status… thanks man.❤

Are setting changes for iPods made to the pods only, or to the settings for the device currently connected? In other words, if I make changes now using iPad, are the same settings changed when I connect AirPods to my iPhone? Or do I need to re-do the AirPod settings on each device being used?

One tip for musicians among us here ... if you have your AirPods Pro2 with adaptive transparency then it is really cool to use them for practising (me drums and guitar) as it is way better to hear yourself yet have the sound volume limited 😀
Can’t wait to try this. My musician friends are getting older and louder. I’m getting tinnitus. Earplugs make everything muffled. This sounds like a great option when IEM’s aren’t practical.

Does turning on noise cancelling drain your battery faster?
I have AP pro 2 . I was hoping they would be somewhat of a substitute for my hearing aids when fly but they are weak in that area even using the audiogram. I guess my hearing loss is too severe. My biggest problem is when flying I want to use a BT transmitter but I can get it to connect to the AP2 but it won’t transmit. I have tried 2 different TX devices. Neither will work with APs but will transmit to my other BT devices. Any ideas?
Could be faulty. I had one that would only play through one ear bud. Try Twelve South AirFly
I have had the worst connectivity issues with AirPods pro 2, they randomly lose audio and/or disconnect while simultaneously changing in and out of transparency and noise cancellation when they attempt to reconnect

The air pod Pro-2 never disconnect and continues to drain the battery case and then the ear buds. Closing the case does not disconnect like with Pro-1. Bluetooth in General shows the PRO-2s not connected but the PRO-2 continue to discharge?????

How do you hear what you're saying in a phone conversation when AirPods in in your ears?
Also when your macbook's bluetooth is on and your AirPods is also connected to your phone, once you play something with sound on your MacBook it will automatically switch to what you are currently using, whether you play on your phone or on your MacBook or any apple device i think but not really at the same time.
Probably a n00b question, but I just picked up the 2nd Gen Pro (with Lightning charger case Model A3048) and I love them but I do not see some of the options you are selecting on your phone - for example 'Enable Charging case sounds', 'Optimize battery charging.' and 'Accessibility.' Any ideas why they are not there (iPhone 12)?

My AirPods Pro 2nd generation light does not illuminate when tapped as it is charging… Tried charging with lightning cable, MagSafe, and Apple Watch charger, but still won’t show any light when tapped twice…

APP 2 Green light flashing and Chirping noise!
I noticed the following pattern when I pick up the APP2 after them laying idle for a long time: The green light flashes for some time along with the chirping noice. Once I connect them to my Iphone then the green light flashing & chirping noise stops. Just wanted to check if this is normal? If not how can I stop this?
Mine do the same thing, I looked it up and it said that means one of the Airpods is not connecting to the case, don't know how to fix it but yours might not be connecting to the case correctly

I’m confused. This video was published in February of 2023. The AirPods Pro 2 were released seven months later in September of 2023. Did Brandon get a pair that much in advance?
Edit: the AirPods Pro 2 that were released in September of 2023 differ from the original AirPods 2 by having USB C, an upgraded stem interface, an updated H2 chip, improved noise cancellation, adaptive transparency and personalized spatial audio.

This is a great video but with all due respect, this feature/suggestion is downright stupid. You can just tell the OTHER PERSON to hang up the call instead of telling it to Siri, like a normal human being 😂

It's imperitive to note that while the Airpods Pro 2 reduce your perceived volume, they DO NOT protect your ears from damage. This makes things like loud concerts easier to tolerate, but offers no more physical protection than the plastic buds with silicone tips provide.
They counter sound waves to try to cancel. There’s no guarantee of protection. Physically, blocking the sound waves with earplugs is the only way.
I think this is misleading - they don’t protect as well as earplugs, and there isn’t enough research into noise cancelling to be sure how well they can protect your ears, but part of the noise reduction is from the fact you have the AirPods physically blocking the ear, so there is definitely some physical protection. And while noise cancelling hasn’t been proven to help yet for avoiding ear drum damage (as far as I’m aware) it hasn’t been disproven either, and it seems that it would be likely to help at least a little bit.
@@rainbowevil I figured it was obvious that putting something in your ears will block sound waves to some degree. However, airpods don’t do much physical blocking either. I’d guess 5-10 dB max.
@@sixualsI regularly wear ear plugs rated for a 30dB reduction and the AirPods Pro’s would definitely be higher than 5-10
Well, without out them in my ears... it's painful. With them in, it's not... so I think it's doing something.

I use these when I go to manufacturing plants and they work way better than any earplugs ever.
I have seen conflicting research on whether ANC (the kind the pros uses) actually helps with protecting your hearing in manufacturing environments. PNC however clearly does assist. I would highly recommend ensuring that your hearing is properly protected. But it’s ultimately your body
