From experience, when you're moving laterally as a returner, with your head up and eyes on the ball, it's very easy not to notice that you've drifted a few yards back. You'll notice Golden Glove outfielders have this same issue often. Shaheed clearly made a mistake, but he didn't decide to attempt a fair catch at the 3; he likely thought he was going to make the catch at the 6 or 7, which wouldn't have been a dumb decision on a punt clearly angling very sharply to the sideline. He made a bad play. It was more a fvck up than a bad decision, but I suppose you could argue those go hand-in-hand.
Maybe he just doesn't want to be on special teams anymore. Easiest way to get out of a task in the future at work is to do it terribly when called upon
Great analysis! You are absolutely correct about that punt return. No reason to attempt to catch it in that situation…what a dumb decision. Was that player cut?
if you are not from Atlanta or New Orleans you might no realize how much these two teams hate each other. As a native Atlantan, I loved this. Oh yeah!! GO DAWGS!!
Wait a minute...as I understand it, a muffed punt on a fair catch cannot be advanced Shouldn't Atlanta have gotten possession at the 3 yard line after that?
If at any point in the last 57 years you asked what the worst matchup in the NFL might be, there's a good chance the answer is going to be Falcons vs Saints.
Can someone explain the meaning in the description, the part that states "just to give up the 3rd Loss to an opposing team with no wins". Is that a typo or am I missing something.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be "touchdowns", not "wins", but even that's an error, because this is the fourth game this season where a team won despite not scoring an offensive TD.
Would be worried about offense not getting a TD (that refs didn't bring back on some BS) but since it was the taints, this was funnier, perfect game no notes. FTS.
Koo was probably the best offensive player for the falcons last year. Handful of games with 5+ made
Morten Andersen was the #1 leading scorer on 2 different teams. Chiefs and saints.
Koo has a South Korean flags on his helmet. Didn’t know players put their country flags on the helmet in addition to US flag. That’s cool.
Yep Amon Ra has a German flag on his
My ex-teammate has a Jamaican flag on his helmet.
Goff has a California flag
And ironically enough, the US Flag is never supposed to be used on any athletic uniform, per US Flag Code.
@@Charlie-YourSlimShadyFan1 Who was it?
The fair catch at the 3 yard line guy would match perfectly with the Titans special teams coach who doesn't know the rules. A trade is in order lol.
I still don't understand what he was thinking fair catching at the 3-yard line
As an Arkansas fan all I can see is Reggie Fish in the SEC championship against Florida.
Maybe he thought he was further along and didn't realize the drift?
He wasn't.
yeah, after that I think he has to lose his job as return man. If you're that stupid.. just no. There must be someone else on the team that's better

He's actually really good at special teams and made the pro bowl. This was a really weird fluke for him

Easiest way to get cut/fired maybe

No, Shaheed has been one of the Saints' leading receivers this year.
H's an all pro and a huge playmaker. It was a weird fluke I guess
Bro, as a falcons fan this was incredibly entertaining! Shout out to Pinon for the epic punt placement.
Great seeing that in slo mo. Thanks
Actually it's the 4th time a team has won without an offensive touchdown.
Bears Week 1, Steelers Week 1, Commies Week 2
It’s unbelievable how many NFL rookies appear to forget all the basics they must have learned as children in PeeWee and Pop Warner football.
Rasheed Shaheed went from carrying fantasy teams in weeks 1-2 to scoring 0 in week 3 and this in week 4
The Aint's, better get out the paper bags again!
I will take any touchdown with the falcons!😂
It is comforting knowing that our best player is the kicker. Anytime Koo comes out I know it’s green. The offense on the other hand….

Not a Falcons fan but I love those old-school red helmets and logo.
Hey a win is a win you have to get them whenever you can whether is ugly, close, blowout, or just weird.
Can't wait for your video of the smartest touchdown of all time.
As a Saints fan, this was extremely painful. And I knew it would end up on this channel. SMH

Winning the game doesn’t happen within 5 minutes of the start🙄
A LOT of poor ST play this season!
Amazing.🤦
Just like the drew it up
Did he get cut after that?
