I’m a hobbyist reseller and typically have 2 sales a day. I haven’t had 1 sale on Poshmark in 10 days!! I had 1 offer but it was for less than half what I listed it for and didn’t accept it. I signed up with Depop to see if that could help.
Ughhhhhhhh - I hate to hear that. I'm usually anywhere between 2-8 sales a day, every day, and still crickets on Poshmark since that one sale I showed here. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's a fluke, and we're in that weird spot in the algorithm... but time will tell. Hoping you pick up soon!
Hi! I’m the one who bought the lovely velvet jacket from you over the weekend and I LOVE it! I go to the bins in San Diego and it’s $27 for 15 items or $2 per piece. Our goodwill stores are expensive and do no sales or discounts. In fact, all of our thrift stores are expensive. Some of them are VERY expensive. My sales on Poshmark have been much slower than they were before the fee change. eBay and Depop are picking up the slack though.
Hi!!! Oh, I'm SO happy you love it! It really is just so pretty - that velvet is LUSH. I've heard that about San Diego thrifts - I've heard this from non-resellers as well, so you KNOW It's crazy expensive! Doesn't sound like your bins are a terrible deal though!
Cincinnati, OH. Our Goodwill bins are garbage…however we have a St Vincent De Paul bins store that is usuaaly pretty good and we only pay $1.09-$1.19 per pound. I shop there every week!
WOAH! Our St. Vincent de Paul stores out here are crazy marked up - good to go if you're thrifting for yourself, but there'll be no effective sourcing unless you're really holding out for treasure!
I’m happy with my sales. I sold 2 pairs of sandals and Mens swim shorts along with fall items. I’ve had several full price sales as well. This time of year is usually slower for me because I don’t carry a lot of winter items. But this year my sales are strong and I’m on target to make more $ than last year. I think I’m getting better at sourcing or at least I’d like to think so 😅. Hang in there everything is subject to change. 🌷
LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear this! I can assure you, whether you're aware of it or not, your sourcing prowess is improving as you learn what moves and what doesn't. Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone starts seeing your kind of momentum! Keep going!!!
I have exactly the same number of sales right now as I did at this point last year, which is far fewer than I had at this time during 2020-2022. I average about a sale every week to 10 days because I truly treat the platform as an "extra" in my life (350 item closet).
This is what I like to hear! I'm sure the overall drop has a LOT to do with consumers being so pinched in the last two years - sales on everything retail-wide are down. Fingers crossed the economy turns and these companies stop trying to put the pinch further on buyers!
I’m in Columbus, Ohio and our bins is $1.99 per lb. However, the bins where you are at has wayyyy better items than an ours do lol. I would so travel to shop at your bins.
That's not bad at all! My experience is that while, absolutely, our bins are amazing, you can find treasure in EVERY bins location! You just might have to dig a little harder to find it. and when that fails, hunt down the sale days at the regular thrifts!
Since the fee change, poshmark has been such a roller coaster for me lol. Last week I had zero sales. My weekend was pretty slow and I had some very low priced sales trying to get things out the door, but starting Monday, I've had sales every day, most between $60 to $100.
OK! this is a good report here! In my heart of hearts, I just want my dip to be one of the standard flukes that happen to all of us from time to time...
Southern Oregon 1.89 lb at 30lbs goes to .99 cents lb. I part time resell and usually averaged 5-6 on Posh a week. Since the change I’ve had 1 at the very beginning none since then. However, my eBay store has had more than normal sales.
WOW! I think that's the cheapest I've ever heard of from a Bins location! If you're picking up light things, you're getting them for like 30 cents! Fingers crossed poshmark picks back up AND your eBay store stays elevated!!
My sales are better than they were last year and I’m on track to make this my highest sales month of the year! I’ve only had one buyer message me to ask about the new fees and I gave her a few dollars off to make up for it. It looks like they’re working on the structure, so I’m veryyy curious to see how it changes! Did they have to mess with the system during Q4??? 😅
I snowboard but the farthest east I have been is actually Utah. 😂 I primarily go to Mount Shasta or mountains in Oregon. we have quite a few bluebird days at the mountain and I rarely have to wear insulated gear. My favorite bass layer is Smartwool.
Honestly, no reason to go much farther east than the continental divide if you've come up riding the west. The eastern mountains are a LOT of ice and crowds are crazy - but to us, that's normal! On those days in Park City, when it was super crowded, you could ALWAYS tell who came from the east coast, as we can navigate dense crowds on skis or a board with utter ease...and I STILL struggle to fight my instinct to carve super hard when I start to pick up real speed on powder. Smartwool is so so so good! A base and a softshell almost always for me (though I've recently got back into bibs, and after the last 15 years of lower rise snowboard pants, I may never go back! )
@@JMSquaredVintagethat’s good to know about the east coast mountains. I have three pairs of bibs and I absolutely love them!! I also got some stretch skinny glacier snow pants from Athleta and they are so comfortable! I get so many compliments. Yes, it’s like wearing leggings in the snow! ❄️
We have a lot of different bins locations in Northern California and the prices vary by location but the ones in the Sacramento area they raised the prices this year to $2.29/lb and shoes are $3.99 each.
Make no mistake about it, we have a TON of walmart and target stuff here too...though Shein is, regrettably, becoming just as common to see as Walmart. Ugh....
I’m in Southern WV and just started reselling in February of this year! I’ve wanted to check out our bin store but don’t want to make the 2.5-3 hr trek to Motown! Do you think the bin is worth the travel time? I visited the Winston-Salem store while traveling south for vacay this summer and loved it! 😊

@JMSquaredVintage yeah this biden economy is really hurting everyone
My sales on Poshmark are definitely lower, but it looks like they may be changing the fees again based on their app.
I saw that! Hoping they are getting on that quickly (and that the change is good enough...) I'll be eagle eyes OUT for any updates!
Northern California- 3.49 lb and no discount days or colored tag discounts in goodwill stores
Yiiiiiiiiiikes! that's even higher than down here! I'm sure you find great stuff though - LOT of money up there!
Love Gilmore Girls!!!
It's my absolute favorite!

I can confirm that Julia’s bins are amazing and I have traveled to them to shop. I’m planning on making it a monthly adventure.
Our bins are 1.99 per pound here in reading pa. Unfortunately they are 2.5 to 3 hours away 😢
Ooooofffff yeah - that's a hike and a half. Maybe worth an occasional road trip though!

Forever and ever!

I’m from Medford, too!! Love our bins pricing!
@@Jamieshops4u No way! Small World! They are pretty good! Same with our stores! Love that ours go 50 and 75 percent!
I got to the portland bins and its 2 89 lb after 25 pounds it's 1.89
WOW! I think that's the cheapest I've ever heard of from a Bins location! If you're picking up light things, you're getting them for like 30 cents! Fingers crossed poshmark picks back up AND your eBay store stays elevated!!
Medford! One of my all time favorite bosses from my past was from Medford - grew up on a pear farm that sold to Harry and David!

I mean, for REAL! SO good to hear that at least someone is on the rise!!! That's amazing!!

3.99 for the shoes at an outlet?! Other than that, 2.29 isn't that bad for California!
Yes! They use to be $3.05 each before the price increase. They’re not by weight like at other bins.
West Virginia $1.89/lb. But tons of Walmart and target.
Make no mistake about it, we have a TON of walmart and target stuff here too...though Shein is, regrettably, becoming just as common to see as Walmart. Ugh....

I'm not sure if it's true but I heard Posh is reconsidering the new fee structure.
Yep! They've made a statement saying that they're reevaluating the fee structure. Fingers crossed they take it off of the buyers!
Northern NJ $2.29 lb over 50 lbs goes down to $1.99.
Ooooooh - I'll bet you find some KILLER stuff up there! What town is it in?
Midnight velvet is a catalog brand 😊
Ahhhhhhh! interesting! Looks like they sell a little bit of everything!
Orange County $3.49 lb 🙄
they raised the price AGAIN?!?!?!?
Slow at Poshmark .. Depop pretty good
Depop's been picking up a bit for me too - but from before the fee change, so hopefully that platform starts grabbing some market share...
