I must echo everyone's sentiments. Your video just saved me a WHOLE lot of headache! I knew to get an auger, or snake as I'm used to calling it, to remove the item clogging the toilet. But, of course, I didn't follow the scant instructions on the little tag and proceeded to frustrate myself until I said there's gotta be a video on RUclips to show how to do this. I followed your instructions and lo and behold, it worked! On the first try! I was this close to throwing in the towel. But thanks to your video, I was able to do it and feel so accomplished now because I did it all by myself...like a big girl! 😀Thank you!

Excellent, excellent tutorial. I hate doing any kind of housework like this (new homeowner, handy, but not ambitious enough to want to fix things) and did it in less than 5 minutes. You probably saved me hundreds, if not more. All it cost me was $10 for an auger.

Thank you! The auger I have, seems to not respond to the crank. The only way to get the wire out is to pull it with my (gloved) hand. And then turning the crank doesn't pull the wire back.

Best way to clean the auger after use?

Have the exact same auger. For some reason i can only get the auger down to about 1.5 feet maybe 2 feet in and it wouldn't go further in after multiple attempts had to call a plumber. $300 later it worked for a few days but back to not flushing. Super frustrated now and feeling like I'm just gonna throw away money. Don't even want to call a plumber now. All they did was auger it and claim my toilet is fine and give us $300.

This $20 dollar auger is junk and is now the source of causing our toilet to not be usable. The auger is stuck and I am not able to remove it from the toilet. I am going to have to replace the toilet and the only way I see possible to retrieve it is the use a sledge hammer on my toilet to separate the two. I am so frustrated & hate this piece of garbage.
