I have the same car in sport mode if you brake torque it it easily does 0 to 60 in 8sec flat in your video I can see the road was slightly uphill after 30mph and you didn't brake torque it which is the reason you got a slow 0 to 60 time 8 sec flat for a economy n/a 2.0L engine with a ivt/cvt transmission is respectible I'd say people who want a faster Elantra can buy the N-line or the Elantra N with the 2.0L Dct which is a real deal breaker and value for money if they want a sport sedan
I actually brought one to rent out and this car at the bottom gives you nothing over 60mph accelerating isn’t bad. The struggle is from 0-60 but it wasn’t made for speed.
Oh for sure. The long gears in most GM cars are like impalas and Grand Prix all seem to make the acceleration not so great but it’s designed that way for fuel efficiency.
@@IanSnowboards I don't either. AWD 2.0 I average 20 .. all city here lately. I can get by with 10 dollars a day to do mostly anything I want( also what does 20k have to do with anything? We in the same price range when you look at the bigger picture)

I had a 2022 Elantra and I loved to push it to its limit, flooring it was just beautiful
Hopefully you never end up in a situation where acceleration is required.

It’s a commuter sedan, idek why it has a sport mode honestly 😂

You can hear that CVT transmission screaming for dear life
No you really can’t

@HVACR_LIFE that's normal, hyindai cvts use a chain instead of a belt so it's a little noisier.
I went from driving my regular 2022 Elantra SEL to driving an uncle’s RSQ8 for one vacation and that thing was ridiculous

How do u brake torque?
I have a 2021 SEL model with the analog gauges, I prefer it that way. Mines a little bit quicker and can go 135 MPH
