My grandma told me a couple weeks ago that most of her widow friends are genuine gambling addicts now and have blown all their money at the casino. Cant help but think Charo looks exactly like one.

If you got enough hugs as a child, you don’t crave that type of attention. Combine the need for attention with childhood trauma…trauma that creates a skillset to use humor as a defense mechanism to avoid painful subjects…that’s the recipe for creating a comic. They also need to be intelligent & witty, but there’s a recipe of negative things in childhood that nearly all share.
