I was very surprised by that! I don't know why. I just never thought of Colbert as an enjoyer of gritty, crude comedy. Probably just the effect of the veil of always having to watch him be funny on major networks.
I love how Tom gives off the vibe that he’s just a normal quite guy that happens to tell really funny stories
and doesn't bury his victims in the backyard.

Whenever I watch Tom in a setting like this, I feel like I’m literally holding my breath trying not to disturb him because he’s doing so well. 🤣 As if that helps anything, but it makes me feel supportive. ❤️

That was the fastest, most natural, 8 and a half minute interview ever. When it ended I wondered why they only gave Tom a three minute spot. It's great when Stephen has a natural rapport with the guest and they just banter. Much more comfortable and enjoyable than the stiff scripted cards.
Did he though? He was mortified when Tom said he was trying to be less fat, and he did the exaggerated quiet laugh a few times.

I listen to all of the podcasts while im driving at work tbh.. bertcast, 2 bears, ymh, joey diaz, rogan, artie lange...ect
